  1. I think the skins are the same for both A-10A and C. Put the livery in your A-10A liveries folder and see if it appears in the paint schemes menu in the mission editor.
  2. This skin is available on the lockon files website. Google lockon files and look for downloads or get it HERE.
  3. I hosted this mission for about 5 other pilots and a good time was had by all. Thanks very much for sharing it.
  4. I have found that if I have a target locked with the TGP and try to slave the Mav to it too soon the TGP loses the lock. Try waiting until you are less than 10 nms from the target before slaving the Mav and you may get better results.
  5. Click HERE for another idea to streamline the voice over process. I ain't gettin' any younger here. :book:
  6. Consider this as an alternative that may make as much money, be easier to create and perhaps be more attractive to the average community member. Rather than create a DLC campaign with all of the complications and red tape, instead create individual missions like Welcome to Suse that everyone would be free to modify to suit their own preferences. They might sell for $.99 like Sabre's missions. I have found that we need quantity as much as quality considering that after 2 or 3 runs for any mission it gets boring. I would be glad to pay $10 for 10 4 ship A-10C missions and probably repeat the investment every 2 weeks if the missions were available.....just sayin':music_whistling:
  7. My observations from 3 years of experience with the A-10C cause me to conclude that the difference between 1.2 and 1.5 regarding this issue has nothing to do with the TGP's performance but rather the change made to the terrain textures and enhanced lighting effects. I had the same experience in 1.2 when using terrain mods that was quickly resolved by going back to the default textures. These enhanced terrain textures in 1.5 coupled with the difference in lighting effects brought to the table with EDGE make things look much better from the pit but act as camouflage for the TGP and the A-10C is the only aircraft that suffers.
  8. Try running a single player mission first after installing the script folder.
  9. So when I bought the Nevada terrain on DCS 2.0 was that a purchase I was going to have to make anyway if I wanted to use the map in the future? YES
  10. I have noticed that in 2.0 AI vehicles placed on the map kick up an abundance of dust even when traveling on asphalt roads. Does anyone know if there is a way to tweak that effect and bring it down some or perhaps eliminate it completely?
  11. Considering that the Hawg is the only plane I fly I found your post to be one of the most interesting and educational that I have ever read and thanks for sharing. It would be cool to start a Q&A thread where DCS pilots could ask questions and you could get the answers. I have often had questions about A-10 procedures and knew that only a real A-10 pilot would have the answer so I am hoping that this will continue.
  12. If all of the dds files for your plane are located in the livery folder, and it appears they are, then all of the entries that are listed as true should be listed as false. The only dds files that should be listed as true are those that are not included within the livery folder you have created. If the livery folder has been properly placed with all of the other A-10C livery folders then it should show up in the drop down menu IF you have USA selected as the country. If you want it to show up for another country you will have to add that country to the livery lua file.
  13. Although I haven't tried it yet using THIS chart as a guide it looks like changing 255 to 258 might work.
  14. Thanks Falcon but I am quite familiar with JSGME and had checked to be sure the path and installation procedure was correct. I may have missed something but although there are aspects of this sim that I can justify spending my time troubleshooting, installing a mod to fly one mission is not one of them. There are many that stay away from mods for good reason and it's been difficult enough to find A-10C pilots to join MP coop missions lately, and near impossible when a mod is required to join.
  15. I am familiar with JSGME and have checked and double checked and can't get the object pack to install. With all due respect to you Ranger I am hoping someone can offer a quality mission without the need to install mods to run it and I feel sure that there are probably many others that feel the same. We have enough to worry about without jumping through hoops just to fly mission. Thanks for your efforts but I will keep looking.
  16. Click on the airplane and be sure that either player or client has be designated for that plane. If it already has been selected as such then be sure the clock starting time for the plane is the same as the start time for the mission. Go to Program Files/Eagle Dynamics/DCS World OpenBeta or OpenAlpha/Doc and get the user manual. It will give very specific instructions.
  17. Ranger, when I start the mission I get 2 text messages and overlapping voice overs. Is that a bug? Edit: On my second attempt I got 3 text messages.
  18. That's quite a long ride to the AO but it was fun when we got there. Thanks for sharing.
  19. I'll be looking forward to your future projects.
  20. After the same thing happened today by simply changing the time of day I learned that all that was needed was to delete the entry in the action column for play sound to all and re-enter it. There is something about making changes that can disable the action entry for sound files but I don't have a clue what it is. This started with 1.5 and continues with 2.0.
  21. I was in a hurry.........sorry, I corrected my post. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. The reason I know so much is because I make so many mistakes.
