I just make another test with only place Ka-50 III and AH-64D block II at a location with no other vehicles, the Ka-50 III ai will use its Vikhr to hit the Apache. The Ka-50 III ai will not engage the Apache when flying at battle zone such as frontline where a lot of ground vehicles. I also noticed the other two attack helicopter 's ai was very bad, the Mi-24V and Mi-28N running a suicide attack run with ATG missile to approach the ground target (tank) until get hit by heavy machine gun from the tank. The Apache ai so smart that it will launch missile and maintain a distant from the target and keep it safe from any ground fire. That Mi-24V and Mi-28N 's ai should egress after destroy the first target with ATG missile to keep a safe distant.

I had tested the Ka-50 BS3 Ai, I set the Ka-50 III Ai to ACE level and place them to meet Apache AH-64D block II Ai with ACE level. For first test with the Ka-50 III set in 2011 version, the Ka-50 III 2011 version Ai did not use the 9K121 Vikhr to target the AH-64D block II but the Apache Ai can use the AGM-114K to target the Ka-50 III and destroyed it. For second test with the Ka-50 III set in 2022 version armed with Igla, the Ka-50 III 2022 version Ai also did not use the Igla to attack the Apache and got shot down by Apache. The Apache Ai so smart and the Black Shark Ai was dummies even with ACE level. That's something need fix.

Ok, I just checked it in mission editor and found that variant selection between 2011 version and 2022 version in BS3. That mean the old BS2 module can be remove for those who owned BS3 module. -

For better realistic, why not update the old BS2 3D model to BS3 3D model but with BS2 's pylons that don't have the hardpoints on the wingtips for the Igla. And retain the old L-140 «Otklik» Laser Warning Receiver in BS2 cockpit, exclude the Defensive Missile Warning System of BS3, add detailed model of the Inertial Navigation System (INS) from BS3 into BS2? That should be better realistic Ka-50. The new BS3 just with different pylons with added hardpoints on the wingtips for Igla and Defensive Missile Warning System. -

Just same as A-10C module, that should be good to remove the old BS2 module for those who own newer BS3 module. Keep old BS2 module for those who still did not upgrade it. -

I had upgraded my BS2 to BS3 and I founded each module was available in DCS World. From the detailed description, BS3 was much close to realistic. So, the older BS2 was a fake arcade model. Will there be update for the training mission, single mission and campaign to be fully convert or migrate into BS3 module and remove the older BS2 module? In Wikipedia: Kamov Ka-50 - Wikipedia it only show single Ka-50 model with the others was Ka-50 Sh and Ka-50-2 was totally different model.

I had upgraded my A-10C module to A-10C II module and I founded both module was available in DCS Word. What is the difference between both of them? is that a separated A-10C? two different model? but the A-10A in FC3 and the A-10C was two different models, how about that newer A-10C II? if it was same model with updated 3D model and some function, will the training mission, single mission and campaign to be updated into A-10C II module and remove the old A-10C module? In Wikipedia: Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II - Wikipedia it only stated two operational model for A-10A and A-10C only, I don't see any additional A-10C II?

I tried the AV-8B NA, the radio comm will be able to turn on after the battery was switched on. And I can contact ATC for start-up clearance before I had to start the engine where it was a normal procedure. But in F/A-18C, I had to started one of the engine before I can turn on the radio? is that normal? I think I should radio comm to contact the ATC for start-up clearance before I am permitted to start the aircraft engine?

Got problem for DCS World version 2.8.4.39731 in F/A-18C where its afterburner sound cannot be mod. The afterburner sound remain with the stock DCS F/A-18C sound after Moltar sound mod was installed and activated. Anyone got any idea how to fix it?

That 's good for the multi thread to fully replace single thread in future, its good for Vulcan Api too with revolutionary: "Object-based with no global state; All state concepts are localized to a command buffer; Multi-threaded programming is possible; Explicit control over memory management and synchronization; Vulkan drivers do no error checking at runtime; there is a validation layer for developers" information from Vulkan - Wikipedia , Vulcan do support Ray Tracing, hopefully it will support Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR too. And then ED can satisfying customer all over the world and all round of customer, thus make more money for ED themself bring both benefit to ED and customers.

I suggest that DCS to be develop into two version each for AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and Nvidia DLSS 2&3. Just like current DCS version with two different version for single thread and multi thread version. That will make both AMD and Nvidia owner happy with improved FPS during gameplay, the DCS player will save much more money from PC hardware upgrade and turn more cash to purchase more DCS modules. Both AMD and Nvidia GPU supported Raytracing, its good to make DCS move forward into DirectX 12 ultimate, I see most game do support both DX11 and DX12 with both RTX on or off function that will be fully compatible for all round of older and new GPU.

I just worried about Open beta which was not stable and possibly got bugs, leaks, possible distorting the computer hardware end up with lower lifespan for the PC? I don't rush for new module, I can wait. I am currently running my DCS 2.8.4.39731 with MT version by creating an extra DCS World shortcut from the bin-mt folder; the MT version will not automatic run with clicking the original DCS World shortcut. The MT for release version running quite good and smooth, so far no bugs or leaks.

Owned FC3 module but got Su-33 module for free?

I owned FC3 module and did not purchase the Su-33 module but i got it for free? this is the list of module i had purchased which did not include the Su-33 module.

Drive Storage Management for DCS World module

oh no, I mean to keep the DCS World at the same drive but install the module on separate drive. -
I got my DCS World installed on a single 240GB drive alone and it is now with 43.5GB free space left. And I got another drive with 175GB free space on it, can I move the DCS module to it? so I can purchase new DCS map and other module and install on those drive with sufficient space. Anyway, will there be future update for the DCS launcher to support separate drive installation of module?

DCS 2.5.4.27430 DCS 2.5.4.27430 was better now, now I knew what cause the previous DCS, the previous DCS was with anisotropic preset to "on" at ?X value I played with anisotropic setting off or low value, the recent DCS version look jaggy due to 3d model texture was with anisotropic preset to "off/application controlled". Play it with anisotropic setting at max 8x will greatly reduce the jaggy but except the cockpit F1 and fly-by F3 view. -

"no need for Ray Tracing" :doh: :thumbdown: DLSS was only available in Direct-X 12, if add DLSS support, should add Ray tracing together. the Ray Tracing add to the cockpit, Ocean surface reflection, Fog, Shadow all should look great, + it may solve the night cockpit lighting problem with X-ray anti-collision light, landing gear light, taxi light, navigation light.....

:doh: I just noticed the Afterburner sound actually inverted, the problem carried over from previous version to current version of 2.5.4.27430. the afterburner sound of MiG-21Bis inside cockpit should be the external afterburner sound, and the current external afterburner sound should be in cockpit afterburner sound. cannot manually fix the sound, due to cannot locate the external afterburner sound, but the AI MiG-21Bis was using the FC3 afterburner sound. the sound was locked with the 3D model attachment, it just need the developer to swap the sound address to fix it. Please fix the AI MiG-21bis afterburner sound together.
