  1. That's very well said. The ole "Sikrit Dokument" trick! Yo Puty, how bou't a Sikrit Dok for my good ole pals at ED:book:
  2. I first must say before I just start blabbing about a wish here, that I think it's fair to mention how satisfied I should really already be with what DCS has become through the years along with what we have now! For years I wanted a Hornet. Loads of us were all craving the Hornet! Now finally after Flanker 2.0, LOMAC, Flaming Cliffs, DCS world's.... look at it now. Between the Flanker until the landing of the Hornet, I purchased many of the other DCS modules. I never really even fly them. So to save space I unloaded them cause I have so many. After it's all said and done, and after all these years of pleading with ED about "If we could just have a Hornet"..... I actually find myself purchasing the MIG-29, SU-33 and SU-27! I already have FC3 , but I didn't want to load all of that and the older Russian Modules outside FC3 are only just a few bucks. I have the Mig 21, and it's beautiful work, but I don't really like it as it is just so old and it doesn't fly well with such lesser wing space compared to more modern jets. So.. I think I always really admired my first experience with Flanker 2.0 and the introduction to Russian Fighter Jets. So... my heart keeps coming back to Russian fighter jets! I WISH for a Mig31 space flight, or a MIG 35! Or at least a MIG 29 with a rebuilt updated cockpit with MFD's! Modern SU Versions of our SU27 and SU-33. Or the Naval MIG with arresting hook. I think I remember reading where a F15-E was in the future works. A F16 as well, I would want that! But I think that there is a need for fully functional cockpit, updated variants of what I think are still very cool modules after all this time! The Fulcrum, and the two SU models! A MIG 35? A T-50? I can remember once ED responded to me, and it was considerate of them, as they explained that making a Hornet is something they do want to do, but they reminded me they are a Russian Development team and that the Hornet was classified material and they could not gather information needed to build the module. That's what they said, a long time ago. My wish! "Build some more modern MIGs and SU's!
  3. That's a pretty good point. Regarding explosions! More realistic explosions with sound to go with it would make using weapons feel more destructive or make the so called flight sim experience more impressive. We have such beautiful work on things such as the Hornet, F14, WWII modules and theater, As far as making the Jet more realistic, I think in all truth, our wants will always keep growing. If they made these jets more realistic I would have even more trouble. But I also notice many of you out here are very good with these and there are even some real pilots as well. I too want "more realistic equipment in the cockpit", but I think if they unleashed the same quality of weapon effects as module quality it would be a blast! Literally! It would give one a reason to turn up the volume and have it in digital stereo! Make videos even more impressive.
  4. Update sizes-Persian Gulf update? I only have the FA18 installed and I paid just over 10 bucks for the SU33 and Mig 29 by themselves cause I didn't want to load all of FC3. My updates are not that large really, and I notice how when it loads the new files it gets rid of the old ones. I was wondering about the Persian Gulf update, I already have the Persian Gulf theater installed. Is this new update they came out with 04-12-19 automatic. I clicked on it and it appeared we needed to buy it, but when I tried to purchase it ,it flashed that warning that I already have a license for it. So I'm looking at it closer... I already have the new update? Sorry for such a ignorant question. I really cannot tell, but maybe cause I haven't been playing it for a while. "?" I own lots of the modules, but I only have the Hornet and the Flanker and Mig activated. I do hope ED comes out with that F16 they described. That I want. There's also been talk of an F15 E, but I would rather have that F16. I also would like those carrier modules their supposed to create one of these days.:music_whistling:
  5. Thanks ... I'm "Ignant":smartass: "I knew that... I just wanted to see if anyone else knew that" "Thank you"
  6. I am currently going through the training steps provided to get familiar with using the TACAN by entering data. In the mission it uses a 67X example so I enter it and see the information presented. I need practice. My question is,... after a good minuet or two all the information within the TACAN disappears. Meaning the actual up front controller information and channel I switch to on it and lit up symbology within it's digital realm disappears and it all goes sort of back to an OFF mode. Is this normal? I'm still trying to understand it in relationship to the HSI information and then lining up a bearing line for proper directional approach? Of course I need practice... but I was just wondering if it is normal for the UFC to go back to a blank dead looking mode?
  7. I am one to love to just jump in and check it out , probably like many right?... but I took the check list or pdf file "early Access" starting at page 47, and followed the cold start set up. I usually do not do this but I felt I should give it a try since there has been so much work put in the making of such a cool module ... I was surprised at how rewarding it seemed. I still have to follow along the step procedures... but soon I will get it down. Then I returned to land and parked and shut it down. Now I think it is more fun to do it this way as opposed to being quick and off I go...type mode I don't know the procedures. Man there's a whole boat load of stuff I don't know, but now I am a bit inspired and want to learn a few things. All the little information is pretty overwhelming on all the systems and checking to do...But I have found... for me", that it has made the Hornet more interesting and fun flying this thing a bit. I recommend a cold start habit for the sake of just checking it out and later one can always start off hot on parking grids or runways. Starting it up and shutting it down is pretty cool when I follow it along .... I loaded up the pdf on my tablet and just open it up and follow it along in cold start mission. I'm impressed and it is rewarding.
  8. Mig 35 Well... here we are now in 2018 , July. it is said that ED is working on a FC4? Perhaps the Russian Based group will surprise us with a Mig 29 or 30... that has much more inside of it. Variable Thrust Vectoring would be cool! How about too, if we switch to a flight demonstration team's skin an option can be available to fly in tight formation of a few feet and the other aircraft will not resist you. But I sure wish we had a more modern Mig! I personally think the Mig 29 is the best module they have. The Mig 21 is stellar work, but an old outdated machine I don't care for. The quality, yes! The model... no. It will be interesting to see if they ever make a meaner Mig 29 on up!? Make it Air ground Multi-roll...etc.. Why not? They could do many things with a Mig 29, I'm actually surprised a Russian development team would not take pride in such a great design in their Mig or SU.:smilewink: Man, if anyone could do it, these guys could! There best in world, just one man's opinion.:smartass:
  9. English Russian! Hi "Devrim"? Nice to meet you. i just installed your Mig 29 English for all three Variants of the Mig-29. It works beautiful. Thanks a whole lot! Then I installed this one too for the SU-33. I guess I'm one of those guys who always wanted a Hornet and now that we have it I am stuck back on my Mig and SU-33! I go back to the Flanker 2.0 , LOMAC-FC1,2n3 days. I'm not so sure all the hype of the virtual cockpits are everything cracked up to be as there's a difference in reaching with your hand and clicking a mouse when attempting to fly a bit. But it's all good. It is impressive. I'll take it! I like a Hornet don't get me wrong, but I really dig the Russian fighters! Thanks again for the Mod and I will keep an eye on what else you do for us! Awesome Job!! "Salute"! I hope in this FC4 I hear of, that we will get an updated SU and Mig variants. I would like to see a Mig 29 M with variable thrust vectoring or all the way to a Mig 35 with way more features in radar and navigation and Air to Ground abilities. But thanks again! Respectfully:pilotfly: Marc "DragonFlySlayer"
  10. I would like to see a Mig 35 with multi-roll abilities. A coating on the bottom of the aircraft so we could skid in smokin hot on a runway if the landing gear fails to retract just like modern Russian fighters.. A more modern SU jet. A T-50! :smilewink: We'd be even harder to detect on radar! :smartass: Just kiddin. But yeah... More modern Russian Fighter jets , multi-roll, FLIR, more missile types. A Mig 29 M with variable Thrust vectoring! That would rule! A mode in the game where we could create a mission with an option like the Russian Knights say... and we could select a mode where we could find them on radar so we could fly up real close and tight and they wouldn't resist you and want to keep their distance. We could merge within about 3 feet away like real flight demonstration formation pattern flying. That would be new and cool! If anyone could do it it would be ED from what I've seen through the years I would bet. :joystick: Even today.. I mainly mess with Flaming Cliffs 3 cause my favorite is the Mig variants and the SU-33. After all these years I still have not forgotten Flanker 2.0. Now look how cool it is! I have the Hornet but it seems slow and it rolls very slow compared to my Mig. is that just me?
  11. Ya know... I got to be honest here. I am one of the guys who wanted a Hornet for over 20 freakin years too! And they delivered. But why is the Hornet so slow? is it just me? It seems slow on speed. Slow on rolling over and low level flying. Now don't get me wrong, I am glad we have it and I got what I wished for. But lately I always seem to go back to the roots of all this! Flanker 2.0 only in DCS world 2.5 with the SU-33 and Mig Variants! They are fast and the appeal of the Russian HUD and Radar warning device along with Russian Missiles really still seem to be the most fun to mess with. The Mig and SU are very fast. I wish ED would upgrade the Mig 29 to an M version with variable thrust vectoring if that's even possible. And update the radar navigation//night vision, and lets incorporate some multi-roll FLIR when we can in the Mig! Also,... put that Russian coating on the bottom of the aircrafts so we can skid safely on a runway if the gear doesn't retract. That would be a smokin blast! :smilewink: Wouldn't be cool to see a ED Home based Mig 35!? I like my Hornet, but when it's all said and done I still most of the time mess with the MIG and SU-33 in flaming cliffs. The Mig 21 was done superbly but I don't care for that model even though it is perfect.:pilotfly:
  12. Thanks a lot for the info. I knew there had to be some sort of answer. I will look at this and see what I wasn't doing. Respectfully Marc
  13. Does anyone else have issues not being able to create snow on the ground. I have tried several times to figure it out, I have read in my DCS pdf manual and even in the pdf manual it shows a different weather generator. In Mission Editor I cannot create snow on the ground nor can I seem to find a time clock for the time of day desired. In Fast Mission creator I try to change the time to morning and it always puts me in the night time. Anyone aware of this or am I the only one in the whole DCS world with this problem:helpsmilie: I've tried to find a thread on this as usually one can fine the answer here in this forum in 9 out of 10 situations. I cannot seem to find anything on this.
  14. Updater?... How do we do that? I don't understand what you mean. Mine just stays stuck on Updater so I turn off my anti-virus and then it will launch into DCS world 2.5 or OpenBeta. One problem I noticed too , is I cannot create any snow on the ground in either world via weather button in Mission Editor. After reading my DCS pdf I tried it again with negative results. I also noticed that the pictured examples in the pdf are different than mine once I am into DCS world. I tried also searching the forum for this topic regarding snow with negative results. ....My updater seems to get hung up on my anti-virus. So I disable it and then it seems to work. But I also wonder if it is searching for an update. I believe it is. If ya know anything at all about that snow in the mission editor that would help. It just keeps popping back to default weather and all I can get is this crappy blue colored rain or storm that looks so unrealistic.  Thanks...
  15. I have a question and was hoping that maybe you guys had a simple answer. When I create a mission in 2.5 either in OpenBeta or DCS 2.5, when I attempt to create a time of year in the Weather like Snow and clear sky, it just keeps popping back to default weather! I can get rain and lightening and it looks weird, but I cannot seem to get snow all over the ground. Is there something I am not doing or need to know? Respectfully DragonFlySlayer' Marc
  16. For me, it's a Module of desire in question. Cheats or more advanced is more personal preference. As far as a Module of desire goes I wish ED would do work on a T-50 or a Mig 35! With variable thrust vectoring! But I am thinking that perhaps the material needed for ED to work with this or Belsimtek or anyone may be classified. I remember when ED responded to me and informed me that a Hornet was not possible approximately 20+ years ago because it was classified and they reminded me that they were a Russian Development team. Now look.... FA18 C Lot 20" I really enjoy Russian Aircrafts. For me, my problem is the Mig 21 and Mig 15 are just too old. Nice work, stellar work!! But flight models that really don't get it for me. I still mess with Flaming Cliffs 3 for all you purists out there because for me at the end of the day it's all just a video game or can be considered an arcade with more or less bells and whistles. Virtual cockpits can slow you down sometimes in a situation beyond HOTAS as working a mouse is a bit slower than reaching with your real arms and activating switches in the real deal. I am surprised that ED has not attempted to head towards a T-50 or a Mig-35 since it was Flanker 2.0 that started everything to even all the outside work from people such as Belsimtek etc.. After all.... ED i s a Russian Development team. I wanted a Hornet for so many years now and now after flying it a bit I find I enjoy the canards and HUD from the Russian jets.
  17. Thanx man! Very cool indeed! Man I was looking for something and viola!... "Look what I found here"?! :smartass: Thanks very much! This is very helpful! :book:
  18. Mig 35 I think it would be cool if DCS could create a Mig 35 with quite an update. I remember the days when they informed me that they could not make a Hornet as the info was classified and they reminded me that they are a Russian Development team, years ago...now look. The FA18 C, still currently in development. But I am really fond of Russian Jets. I like the Mig and the SU ! Wern't they supposed to create quite an update to the Russian Carrier? I wonder if they are working on any upgrading or creating a more modern Mig or SU. Multi-roll AA and AG!
  19. That's pretty well said. I have waited years and I mean years for a decent FA18. DCS delivered and it is still a work in progress. However, my first experience with ED was Flanker 2.0. Even back in the day that game we all bought in CD format at software stores. And through all of this new technology and upgraded DCS worlds I find I am still so impressed with the simplicity and fun of the Mig 29 and the SU series in Flaming cliffs. I have learned about Russian pilots and Russian fighter jets and I admire them so much. I am an American but so what. "?" I think Russian Pilots are very impressive. I wish DCS would create a Mig 35 and more advanced MIG and SU series with variable thrust vectors! I really enjoy the textures of the Mig or SU in 2.5 Beta. I am waiting for more of the Hornet's weapons to be developed and it now seems lie Ihave the best of both worlds. I sort of feel the way you do I think.
  20. In the early access guide, around page...112, dealing with AA Radar, it explains to me as I am the prisoner of mother ignorance, regarding the current status of the AN AGP-73's partial construction. I also remember another AN AGP-73, and that was in VRS Superbug in that terrible Microshaft platform! But... I remember the Radar and as I remember it really was quite a workhorse. Last night in DCS I seemed to be able to lock on to all sorts of targets and I could switch weapons and the radar would react to the different weapon mode. The radar locked on to a load of aircrafts one after another by it's current default settings. Still missing AMRAAM slammers... but it's working considering it's a "work in progress" I also recall, according to real world Hornet documentaries, the first day of the Gulf War, a two Hornets discovered one or two Mig 21s as they became aggressive, so they launched missiles on the Migs and destroyed them. Most of all the action a FA18 has really seen is AG. I'm actually really looking forward to the FLIR. With all honesty.. "I don't really know much when it comes to a Hornet" I have a lot to learn.:smartass:
  21. AAhhh one other thing.. It seems when I program my Throttle Designator Controller for Up , down, left and right, the cursor does slew now, but it seems like the only other choice to lock up the target is "Throttle Designator Controller-Depress. This seems to not lock up my target but put my radar into some other mode. "?" What am I doing wrong, or not doing?, or what is the choice to program, so after I slew a target and want to lock it up...as it still doesn't seem to lock up targets.:(
  22. AHhh The ole "Throttle designator Controller "left, right etc" Trick eh?! Alright.. I saw that as I was frantically searching and searching and wondering what it would be. The term Throttle, kind of makes you think it's not it. Thanks man.
  23. AHhh so... There is no Target Designation slewing yet with the hat switch in the Radar? I have been searching all through the control set up to try to locate the radar slew LEFT, RIGHT, UP, DOWN, Radar Lock... to slide the two bars over the radar brick as targets show up on radar. So... I can't find it to program with my Warthog, because it's not there yet? I've been reading the Pre release manual... it explains the function but doesn't explain how to find it in controls, nor does it state that it is still currently in development.
  24. It gets updated. I just compared it to a week ago and it is three pages larger so I downloaded it again. It will grow.... I wonder.... when and if... we will see little yellow and green and red and white and purple vests, "crew man" wandering around about the flight deck? Only waiting to get sucked up in an intake!^%#%#^&
  25. Chuck's Strategy Guide hear! http://www.mudspike.com/chucks-guides-dcs-f-a-18c-hornet/ Perhaps yuo guys already know, but in case ya don't, I just down loaded Chuck's FA18 C guide here. Marc
