  1. At the end of the match, if you have won, you pick up loot which gets sold for credits and you get email notification (in the game) where you accept the credits. With enough credits you can buy ships. Starting ship is 1 credit. I just bought one for 220,000 Once you get your skill points up you get free implants which give power boot to ships, missiles etc. And you can sign up for contracts with the 3 factions to gain reputation and credits. The warehouse module is pretty cool where you get upgrades for your ship; shield, hull strength, weapons, etc. Which you then fit to your ship (interchangeable) Overall a good fun space shooter. If you get it, add me on Steam and in game - Ells
  2. Hangar module Ship selection preparing for battle and spawning in (cool effects) Heading to capture a beacon Some nice maps in the game which you can actually fly around a lot
  3. Thought I'd post this up as I saw it recently and having fun whilst waiting for Star Citizen to come along. This one is called Star Conflict and is currently free on Steam. There are paid options which give you ships and credits etc but you don't have to go for that ( I went for the £14 pack and is doing me well to upgrade my ships). http://store.steampowered.com/app/212070/ Here are some images with explanations of functions. Some pew pew ones first.
  4. iOS v.23 hehe Looks very cool
  5. Oh god when I look back over the years I've designed some pretty crappy websites lol I think my best work was for a clan for Worms World Party haha Thanks, I'll get around to doing it one of these days.
  6. And thanks the Gods for ED not publicly pushing "game mode" on the A-10C to the kiddies, Lord knows how that would have ruined our experiences. Flying an A-10C with a gamepad, come on!! And space sims, look how much we've invested in SC, just in this DCS group ;)
  7. According to the A-10C mechanic, nope you can't mate ;) Certain sequences have been left out of the DCS product. Now yeah you'd have a damned good go at giving a try if you got to sit in a pit though wouldn't you, I know I would haha Now older planes with a little less complexity, like the Hawk, sure you could start that baby up easily.
  8. Guys, do you really think the A-10C is 100% accurate to the real one. Do you think you could just walk up to one at an airshow, jump in in it and start it, of course not. There has to be some degree of artistic licence here, and as Matt said some sensitivity issues as well. I agree that 3rd party dev's should announce the level of realism that they are attaining too and trust me there a re a lot of hoops to jump through before getting the licence from ED to develop. Why have ED gone down the direction of 3rd party add-ons? Well that's their decision and I for one are very thankful for it. As a virtual pilot I get to fly a lot more aircraft from different teams. Add to this the stuff that ED id doing with CA etc. and it "enhances" the realism feel for me. Are we a dying breed, most certainly not. Are more and more air forces around the world turning to flight simulators to train their pilots, you bet they are. Are more and more flight candidates going through fast jet programmes that have used flight sims since they were young, yep again. Does it give them an edge over someone that hasn't had any flight sim experience, well I'm sure there is a study out there for that but I would think so. I think it's very exciting times going forward for DCS, ED and it's partners. On the F-35 issue, well we had the same thing go around when we announced the Typhoon. If they have the data, if they have the MNF licence to sell it and it works damn well, who am I to know if it's exactly like the real one or not, probably never unless an F-35 pilot tells me so, in fact same with the A-10C and an A-10C mechanic has told me it's not quite like the real one. Doesn't stop me enjoying many hours flying it ;) Based on the background of the KI team I'd say they're in with a damn good chance of developing a fairly realistic air plane there. As long as they state which level of fidelity it is when I buy it, it's my choice to get it or not. I'm sorry you can't base a company or "team" by their website. Our one is shocking and hasn't been updated in 2 years and is on my to-do list but I'm busy coding the HUD at the moment, so what would you like my priority to be there ;) All my own opinion of course and some very interesting debate going on in here. Chris
  9. Interesting article and funny debate afterwards ;)

  15. Yeah very frustrating. I was in a 10v10 match last night and we dominating big time and it called a draw, WTF!! But it is bloody addictive haha Stickers, how are you taking the screen shots without the console stuff showing?
  16. There were so many complaints over the years that ED didn't post updates so Matt pledged that he'd do them weekly. A lot of history on this one.
  17. Well at least you can run away from the strafing bullets and hid behind trees and buildings...oh wait...haha
  18. That's down to ED, not the 3rd party devs.
  19. Thanks for the update Matt
