  1. Do you "fill them up" by turning the knobs on them? You have to do this manually after you rearm and/or do a ramp start.
  2. Have you double-checked if TrackIR is properly assigned? I had a similar issue a while back and as I looked into it I noticed that TiR assignments had gone AWOL for 2-3 modules (probably after a DCS World update).
  3. I can actually see the tail wheel moving a bit. Not as much as when unlocked but enough to make turning possible. I can understand that I can force the plane to skid with a bit of throttle but I can turn even at idle as long as I have some forward movement. Doesn't take much speed or brake pressure at all. And even if I'm skidding I don't seem to damage the tail wheel.
  4. I find it strange that using toe brakes works fine for turning even with tail wheel in locked position. It almost makes taxiing easier. Surely this can't be right?
  5. I have the same problem. No update when I launch DCS and when I run DCS_Updater.exe via CMD it finds 1.2.12 and downloads approx 50% of the update and then shuts down with Windows error message "DCS Updater has stopped working". The following errors are found in the updater log:
  6. Wouldn't that be repaired as well? I got a confirmation saying that repairs were completed. The only damage I know for sure I had was damaged RH flaps.
  7. Thanks, but I do that... I see the button moving as well but nothing happens. It works when I set it the first time for takeoff but not after I have done a landing + a repair.
  8. When I takeoff I use the suggestion of 12 o clock position for prop pitch which works well for me. Problem is that after I have landed to do a repair I can't change it and it is stuck in 12.30 position. I can see the controls moving in the cockpit but nothing happens on the dial. Any suggestions as to what might be wrong?
  9. No it requires 1.2.12 as far as I know.
  10. A G-10 would be sweet!
  11. I actually think it is...
  12. Perhaps it should be there from a historical accuracy point of view but I think it is one of those cases where absolute realism gets in the way of gameplay value. In the real cockpit I'm quite positive it wasn't an issue but it becomes an issue when looking at a screen IMO. I don't really see how an option to toggle the flare gun on/off would hurt the sim. I mean I chose to fly without a visible pilot body in the cockpit and that is hardly 100% realistic so perhaps a omitted flare gun isn't a big deal. Besides, will the AI units react to flares fired?
  13. It's a known fact that the keys from the DCS Store can't be used on Steam anymore. I am sure there a workarounds but that is at the users own risk.
  14. Page 93 in the manual states: Shouldn't the DB 605 be mentioned here instead?
  15. I fly using TrackIR and I find it strange that the sound level and complexity of the sound varies depending on where I point my nose (MY nose, not the planes). If I look to the left or right the sound gets 'thinner' (lacking a better word) but if I continue to look towards the rear of the plane it gains in volume and complexity again. Surely, in a small cockpit strapped to a seat the noise level should be about the same regardless where I look, shouldn't it?
  16. I've been using a Corsair Force series SSD for DCS since 2012. Haven't had a single issue with it.
  17. Haven't tried the Dora since the latest update but have you checked that all assists and autorudder etc is set to off? I had similar issues a while back (not with the 190 though) and soon saw that all assists had been turned on by default after an update.
  18. Was just about to takeoff in the Dora but couldn't get it started. All key and other mapping seemed alright but when I digged deeper I noticed a bunch of multiple key assignments that wasn't there before. Tested the P-51 and F-86 and noticed it there as well. Loading my saved profiles didn't seem to work either. Anyone else with the same problem?
  19. Can't wait for my Crosswinds to be shipped...
  20. It's the most amazing DCS module so far. Have been enjoying an early build for a few days (thanx Cobra!) and to be honest I would gladly pay way more than the asking price for it. Well done Leatherneck! Well done! Ordering today is a no-brainer!
  21. Great videos and an amazing bird. Just finished my first flights in it (thank you Leatherneck and Cobra!) and what a great job the devs have done here!
  22. Too bad its not a flight manual though... Thanx anyway! Interesting read!
  23. Yup. The testing in the pictures was done from Edwards AFB.
  24. I'm pretty sure the F-86 could be refueled mid air... In attached pics you see a F-86A being refueled by a KB29. Not sure it was ever done in a operational environment though. Here is the original caption of the first image: EDIT: found more of FU 172 with the modification of the nose clearly visible.
