Just assign the AWACS frequency to one of the channels on the AN/ARC-27 using the mission editor. Then using the rotary switch in the F-86 you can tune to this channel and talk to the AWACS plane. At least that is how I do it...

The Kickstarter was ended after reaching it's goal. The company behind the Kickstarter couldn't fulfill there promises so Eagle Dynamics stepped in an took over the project. So far there are two WW2 birds to fly: the P-51D (been around a while) and the Fw-190 D-9 (brand new). You can find both by clicking the store link icons on top of the page. More planes will follow and in 2015 a Normandy scenery will be released. The DCS aircraft aren't really compareable to anything on the market and if realism is your thing, this is what to fly from your armchair.

I am the 'him' Kilrah is talking about -> :pilotfly: Are there any 'multiplayer only' assists I am unaware of? I get exactly the same experience in both SP and MP (using the same mission) but for Kilrah it isn't. I don't use any assists in either SP or MP when flying by myself...

Well its much easier to shoot down a AI controlled P-51 when flying a Dora than what it was the other way around.

Just went through some pictures of the SZ devices and they should have a stamped number on the front that you can tell the type from.

@FinnJ: aren't the firing indicators white but seem green when the panel light is on?

The selector switch (Wahlschalter) should also work to select weapons and there should be a sign next to it telling how it is "programmed". I also think that there should be text on the 'Schilder' underneath the counters so that that the pilot knows what is used and loaded. The 'Sicherungschalter' (safety switch) is also missing on/off markings. It would be great to know what type of Schüßzählern that is fitted into the SZKK.

Any documentation about what counters the modelled Dora uses? The manual is a bit confusing since the SZKK 4 actually doesn't have any counters. Tried it as well and it works as long as I don't ask for more than 98% fuel.

Aha! Thats why I get fuel but no confirmation. But how come I don't get any ammo? Is it because they never finish the refueling?

Have to try that... Pretty sure my buddy requested 100% fuel though.

Well I takeoff basically the way you say you do with your RC plane. I taxi a bit to make sure the tailwheel is straight then full power, balance it with rudder then when reaching 150-160 I slowly re-center the stick and then the plane takes off by itself. If necessary I compensate for the left wing drop caused by the prop with a bit of aileron. Not very different from what you describe.

Considering I already own the P-51D my first choice was of course the Dora since the other ones aren't released yet. My second will be the next one released. The rest I will have to buy... I do think the Spitfire will be my favourite plane though.

Just tried again on different airports. Still not working. My buddy on the same server got ammo in under a minute and the ground crew confirmed it. I waited 10 minutes and no confirmation and no ammo. I get fuel though...

I couldn't take off with assistance on. Thought it was off by default but it isn't. Once the assistance was off takeoffs became much easier for reasons unknown.

Engine was off in my case. The tank was also full according to the gauge.
