Just confirmed that it works with JSGME as well. Just extract the rar file into the _MODS folder. Folder structure should look like this: _MODS\A-7E Corsair\Mods\Aircraft\A-7E Corsair\ The last contains the actual aircraft data folders.

The Royal Swedish Airforce will host a major event including a airshow this Saturday (4/7) at Såtenäs AFB (F7) near Lidköping (NOT Linköping). Entrance is free and so is parking courtesy of Swedish tax payers! :)

SweetFx won't have any in-game option. Settings is done through the SweetFx config file that you will have to tweak manually. At least that is how I do it. Make sure the M_V mod is placed in a folder of its own under _MODS and that it contains two subfolders: Config and MissionEditor.

The Mighty 8th is one of my all time favourite games. As a matter of fact I still play it now and then. (it is available on Steam for €7 - http://store.steampowered.com/app/328900/) Not so much for the flight simulation (which is rubbish with todays standards) as for the immersion level. You can actually feel the tension as you approach a target and the FLAK's open up. And the sense of accomplishment when you manage to bring a badly damaged bird back to England with all crew members alive is second to none. They simply don't make games like that anymore.

Pedals! It's almost a no-brainer. And when you use a quality stick like the Warthog I don't see why one should settle for less quality for the pedals. I got my MFG Crossind v2 pedals in the beginning of the year and I totally recommend them.

DCS most definatly needs some good old Swedish Steel! The J-21R The J-29 was a truly amazing aircraft! The J-32 is one of the most beautiful aircraft ever built! The J-35 was pure awesomness! With an afterburner! The AJ-37 is my favourite militart aircraft of all times! And since we have the Hawk and C-101, why not throw a good looking trainer into the mix - The SK-60! Not a bad lineup for a country with less than 10 million inhabitants (7.5 in the 60's): If would pay good money for a SAAB Military Aircraft Pack! :pilotfly:

The Su-25 doesn't have left/right wheel brakes IRL. Also, in the past FC3 planes have used "digital" wheel brakes (i.e on/off) that wasn't assignable under axis control. Don't know if this is still the case though since I rarely fly the FC3 birds.

Are you sure about that? I don't have a repair exe file. I think you will have to launch the DCS_updater with the repair parameter: "..\DCS World\bin\DCS_updater.exe" repair

There is a workaround for getting non-Steam modules to work on Steam but I won't go through it here since it can cause issues. Keys bought on the ED site can't be activated on Steam. The easiest way is the transfer your Steam modules to the standalone version of DCS. There are no real benefits of using the Steam version anyway. Just activate your Steam keys in the standalone and you should be good to go.

Disregard. I had opened on the cockpit air valve before closing the canopy. Aparently that affects the locking mechanism. :)

I must be missing something here but I can't close my canopy. I doesn't matter if I use the keyboard shortcut or if I click the handle inside the cockpit. The canopy moves but it doesn't end up in locked position and there is a gap between the canopy and the front window frame. What do I need to do to lock it?

You have to disable the mods in JSGME before updating DCS and then enable them again afterwards. You don't need to remove the MoreVisibility mod since it works well with 1.2.15 and the MiG-15.

I think people mistake ED's release plan with those of other studios. When other studios say "a February release" the mean in the beginning of the month unless a specific date has been set. When ED say a "a February release" they usually mean sometime in March. :) And unless I'm mistaken every module depends on ED's release schedule.

Whats wrong with learning some words in another language? I'm Swedish and I know for a fact that NO game will ever be released in Swedish. Should I moan about it or do something about it? I love to fly the Finnish MiG-21 just to learn some words and phrases. Do you guys want to ruin the cockpits of the German warbirds with English as well? A total immersion breaker if you ask me. I have no problems with mission briefings and ATC being translated but if I fly a Russian plane I want the cockpit to be in Russian and if I fly a Czech plane of course I want the cockpit labels to be in Czech. And as mentioned above, the tool tips are translated so I really don't see the problem here.

I'm always using the latest Nvidia driver so at the moment it is 347.09 and I am on a MSI GTX 680 Lightning 2GB card. I have never had any issues with the latest drivers in relation to DCS.

Save a track then reload it and capture the video with any capture software in 60 fps and 4K resolution if that is what you play on with info bar and icons turned off. Then import it to Sony Vegas or your preferred video editing tool and create Top Gun 2. I don't see the problem here to be honest.

All available modules are shown as icons. If you have them installed they are colored. If you don't have them installed they are greyed out. If you own FC3 the icons for the planes you can purchase separately aren't shown.
