  1. @Draken35 Nice set up! It looks flexible too so you can just move it down to where it's comfortable when you're targeting for a while.
  2. Lol you’ll figure it out.
  3. while I'm not sure the manual needs to be posted, but yeah i'll continue to break all the limits in game but it makes sense probably worried about tail strike which was what I was wondering about. thanks learn something new every day!
  4. You talking RL or in game? Not that it'd change what I do, just curious.
  5. Just remember it's not like a car, right is still right, no alternating the wheel. First time back taxing I started to go the wrong way because I wanted the tail to go to the left. Nope. Nose still goes right.
  6. The bat wings! Yeah different purpose. Tbh with your profile pic I thought you knew what they were for. Maybe you do and your playing coy. for the peeps not familiar. @Sinclair_76 is requesting for a training tool which puts curtains on all canopy’s for the back station so you can’t see out of it. The purpose of this is to force them to fly off of nvs while the cpg is full day and has the visibility to keep the helicopter safe while someone is new and learning. It’s not for imc or anything else. It’s also used so peeps can get system time in places like Alaska where during the summer it doesn’t get dark enough. the batwings aren’t designed to limit visibility out, they’re the little pull up accordion looking things that the velcro is always bad on. They have a different purpose that someone else can probably look forward to answering
  7. Prior to flight school, had no idea what I was doin, just was being coached the whole time
  8. Bro/sis I don’t think you got this more right I know who it came from but didn’t want to offend anyone
  9. Everyone has their thing
  10. That’s all there is too it man, we hop in. Left windows home on the ku and away we go
  11. Off topic, kinda but cause @FalcoGer took it to imc, my first time ever dealing with IFR and IMC for holds and approaches were in a D-model LCT. Also Bag, not for IMC, good try tho Its so people can't see you go potty in the aircraft. Super secret, don't tell anyone.
  12. I think this is hilarious.
  13. The pilot hit left windows home and it started
  14. That's another way of thinking about it, I just think of it two people doing two different things where I consider (correct me if I'm wrong) in an airliner for most circumstances you have pilot and pilot monitoring basically doing same thing.
  15. Best way to think of it is think of a crew of a ifv or tank. Two people working separate tasks in the same vehicle so that the vehicle can accomplish a task.
  16. Yes they are both fully qualified pilots (speaking primarily on the American side). There are sub roles, so there is a pilot in command or pc and a pilot. Generally dictated by experience. Sometimes there are dual pc cockpits depending on situation and pilot availability but for all intents and purposes one is in charge. Quite the rabbit hole to go down so I’ll leave it there. Where each sits typically is dependent on nation, mission, and hour requirements (we have to have a certain amount of time in each seat annually). Who’s firing the weapons is situation and engagement specific. Generally (not always) close engagements for self defense are pilot station, far engagements are cpg station. Rockets are almost always shot by back station due to the requirement of maneuvering the aircraft even if guidance is coming from the front seat, missiles are almost always shot from front station. There are always exceptions. it all depends on the mission, situation, and crew skill. this won’t necessarily play out the same with an ai flying single pilot in dcs. dutch and British pilots are both qualified as well I believe. Don’t know about the other nations
  17. Just waking up so I’m probably gonna miss somethings but you don’t need hdd. It’s redundant for this block I believe. It might have another renamed function like for the Izlid but it’s nothing that should affect dcs gameplay. Dont need a2a was. Change governors to throttles, it’s auto governed until you hit lockout. Iat flir polar you’ll probably rarely use, recommend that go to a secondary and you relocate more important things there. Iat image polarity you’ll rarely use. Flir polarity you may use a lot idk that’s a personal question. Remember the dual stage for the laser on the ah is first click single lase second click continuous lazing. I’d recommend just binding second detent. Continuing you don’t need dvo, should be redundant for this model, could be wrong but I believe it does nothing. Man tads? Is that cursor? I’m assuming the right joystick axis will be your thumb force controller. Cyclic drop a2a doesn’t do anything, just so you know for the hold modes, fcr scan continuous scan, one time push, turns them on, push it again turns it off. So not switches, however that works in dcs from your controls idk. hope my comments help
  18. you like the maxflightstick? I'm considering how I want to do my next upgrade, if I wanna go the chair route or a more permanent setup similar to that. permanent is wrong way of saying dedicated I guess
  19. Huey is a linkage heli, so all the controls are linked to the servo or direct to the flight surface through a rod or some mechanical linkage, however. It is a great starter heli because pending how the flight model comes in for the aircraft in DCS. Every force that a helicopter experiences you will have to deal with in the huey, so if you can do it in the huey you can do it in the AH. Once you understand what control inputs you need to input it's no different in the AH except it does assist with the SAS and SCAS of the FMC. If it were me I'd recommend the huey. CCW rotor, doesn't mush as bad as the hind, the force trim will likely work more similar than the hinds. KA50 with the coaxial rotor system while the gameplay may be more similar probably won't fly similar however that's again largely up to the flight model implemented. Wouldn't necessarily agree depending on how you look at it but FBW vs Linkage isn't the deal breaker IMO
  20. Dude… you realize it’s an older version. Lmfao it’s the c engine. It literally says what’s being released with c engines on the module page. Maybe the confusion is you not reading or understanding the d model existed before our time flying?
  21. Also not saying anyone building their own personal can't make it that way, don't yell at me! Or do, idc live your best life.
  22. The grips are fixed, they don't actuate the tads, the thumb force controller (kind of like a joystick on the right TEDAC handle) is how you drive (move) the tads (or selected sight minus the HMD). The grips can rotate but it's designed to rotate to a position that the CPG is comfortable to hold his hands then it's fixed, think like adjusting a car seat. Not for controlling anything. Gun can also be controlled by either seat with the helmet, you will have HMD as your sight source, in which it will follow the path of your head up until it's limits.
  23. For me personally I like the standalone but I've also not used the steam version specifically. So it were me I'd stay standalone personally.
