  1. No you do not Everyone who has brought hawk via whatever method will get the EFM Pman
  2. No Pman
  3. That's what is currently being looked into Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  4. No way of logging the bans after the server resets without slmod. The problem is that this costs us £70+ to run and we have to consider if we are willing to keep paying for it in the state it's in. Va won't go anywhere but we also are not just another free flight server we have rules and create a safe environment for pilots. At the moment we can't do that. 5. We used to have scripts just like that but they are no longer working in 1.5 Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  6. Sadly it just made it no fun for anyone and defeated the entire purpose of the va server. We are continuing to brain storm Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  7. Due to some people thinking it's a huge amount of fun shooting down everyone (and in 1.5 our scripts no longer work) we are having to have a rethink. No firm decisions yet Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  8. Not going to Lie, until a breakthrough by one of the admin team we were having discussions about just abandoning the idea as we had spent hundreds of hours trying to get everything working again But its looking more promising now, in the process the server has had a major network and hardware update, im excited to see what it can handle now :D Pman
  9. Well the good news is we finally managed to fix the server and it is now running DCS, we are loading an updated version of the mission on to it and finally we should be up and running by the weekend Pman
  10. Nice Guys And you are welcome, we will do another event of some description soon, maybe before xmas. If it is of interest I may setup a date for a Q&A with myself an maybe Chris if he is around Pman
  11. Not exclusive mind, 6 of our 8 active development aircraft are ww2 era (give or take a couple of years for Bearcat) and a further 2 of those are jets. Personally I love the stick and rudder aircraft :) Pman
  12. As much as I would love ground combat in DCS the level of detail on the maps would need to be drastically increased I would guess. Its great for air ops looking down but long before I started with VEAO I tried CA quite abit and loved the idea, but I found the AI to be absolutely deadly, even on average. Pman
  13. Not true for any of the war birds pilots I have spoken to (must be over 50 now) General rule of thumb is 3 wheels on grass and 2 on hard. Although if the pilot has a preference in general its their call for either. 3 wheels on grass just gives slightly better control on the immediate seconds after touch in my experience, but mileage will vary. An Example is Dan Friedkin will only ever 3 point an aircraft on grass unless he has no choice but to 2 point it. Pman
  14. And how would you know what has been redacted or not? ;) Bear in mind those in the know won't be able to confirm it in public anyway for the same reason it's redacted in the first place ;) Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  15. I don't know the specifics of what is or is not taken into account, Yo-Yo would need to answer that. The Horsemen always comment that what we do in the sim is harder then what they do in real life, Which we take as a big compliment by the way! But they do rely on senses of movement and feedback from their gut that bar a totally enclosed immersive environment on a D-platform you just can't get from a PC. It wasn't the landing that was a problem for what it is worth, and having conducted thousands of landings in the P-51 it really is quite natural when you don't fight it, you should see some of the things we can get away with if we are careful! It was more the handling of the aircraft on the take off roll that really got their goats. I'm really not here to comment on my own thoughts on the P-51 FM, more just a case of clarifying what the Horsemen experienced when I have been with them and DCS Pman
  16. Just to clear that up, I was actually there and chatting to the horsemen while they were doing this. Although it was close there are marked differences they noted, especially to do with the controller accuracy and interfaces. in total we have had them fly dcs with us (The Virtual Horsemen) 3 or 4 times now. But ground handling was one of the areas the real pilots struggled with. The problem comes with translating real pilot feedback against statistical data. Pman Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk
  17. This topic is as old as time lol Feels like seeing an old friend when a new one pops up :P Pman
  18. That's not far off what I envisage our Duxford map being, that said it is still a long way away. Pman
  19. Shahdoh is actually a member of our staff ;) At the moment I am very hesitant with no server controls to roll out 1.5 Pman
  20. An update https://www.facebook.com/VirtualAerobaticsdcs/posts/933023373439164 Pman
  21. Yeah I agree, I think the benefit will come to those who actually want to replicate an aircraft and learn to fly them properly. Flying a progressive campaign I thinkn would be the best way to approach such an aircraft and I may squeeze a T6 in later on in the schedule. Tigermoth would be good as well. We have done some internal testing in theory for Lanc but nothing firm yet, concentrate on the current tranche first :) Its not required but it is an internal criteria I have put on doing a Lanc, there are very few 4 engine bomber pilots around and access to the Battle of Britain flight and aircraft I consider crucial to being able to replicate an aircraft of that complexity. The truth of the matter is that should we not do a Lanc then you probably wont get any 4 engine aircraft out of us within 4-5 years as we have a lot of other aircraft we would rather do instead. But lets not derail the thread with talk of bombers, if you wish to discuss post in our section and I'll respond there. Pman
  22. Our lanc will only become reality with consent from the RAF, if we can not make an agreement with them then we will not be doing a Lancaster. Aircraft like the B17 and B25 have no special interest to us I am afraid and do not feature in any of our plans, short or long term. The first Multi engine aircraft from us I currently expect to be the Mosquito. Beyond that there is no commitment from us on others for the time being. Pman
  23. Sorry lads aside from the Lancaster from us pending our agreement with the RAF we have no plans for any bombers. Not the large variety anyway, Mosquito is still very much in focus and I've been working on obtaining more reference data on that for work to start sometime next year. It was only a point of curiosity really regarding the Harvard. Once our first wave is done we could do one without too much trouble and might have made a good candidate for twin stick ww2 era. We haven't even started working on terrain yet, we've gathered some reference material but our focus has been on P40 and the aircraft after that. Pman
  24. That they are, some of the nicest guys I've met! And tallest... Pman
  25. I have been asked to do a T6 by a few aircraft operators, I have always shunned it as we got alot of flak for doing the Hawk as a trainer and I wasnt sure how much appeal there would be for one. I have access to 5-6 Harvards plus at least 20 pilots. Would you guys want such a module in the future? Same for the Tiger Moth, the amount of aircraft and pilots I have access to is insance, as well as a little time in one myself Pman
