    DCS C-17

I'd buy a C-130 if we could drop MOABs.
  3. A while back I made an electrical control panel box for use with the A-10C using a Teensy board. I'm using on-off switches in thinking I was going to use helios which works fine, but I've now I've decided to not use helios to control the switches because I like to keep resources low. I've modified the teensy .lua file to work with the switches but the problem is that for the electrical switches they buttons can become unsynchronized at start up or in air or runway starts the electrical systems shut off briefly then go back to the on position. Here is an example of one of the lines I'm using: {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN5"}, }, down = iCommandPowerGeneratorLeft, up = iCommandPowerGeneratorLeft, name = "AC generator power left", category = "Electrical power control panel"}, For other commands, like the ones for the TM Warthog hotas which look like this: {combos = {{key = "JOY_BTN15"}, }, down = iCommandPlane_HOTAS_LeftThrottleButton, up = iCommandPlane_HOTAS_LeftThrottleButton_Off, name = "HOTAS Left Throttle Button", category = "HOTAS"}, You can see there is on off command for the throttle. I'm wondering if there is a similar function to the electrical or other systems as well to try and save a bit of work so I don't have to rewrite my teensy code. I'm fairly new to editing the lua files so forgive me if the answer is obvious.
  4. For the F-15C it's a bit annoying that you can't see your waypoints on a map anywhere, but there's not much you can do about it right now.
  5. Aside from what bonsai mentioned, why are you still flying straight at it after launching a mav? I didn't have any difficulty locking onto the strela. And yeah, the laser isn't needed. The JTAC puts you pretty much directly on target anyway.
  6. Maybe provide a track of that? I just tried and got a launch at the same distance from a SA-6 site with jammer on and off.
  7. I was complaining about something very similar other week actually. Mission creators seem to love placing manpads all over the place in spots that are very difficult to find so every time I think I'm clear to get down in the weeds with my gun I get about 10 IR missiles up my tail.
  8. Triple SLI Titans? :megalol:
  9. Would be nice to have a dialog box when they first launch the software that says something to the effect of, "Welcome to DCS World! To fully enjoy this product it is HIGHLY recommended to go through the initial training tutorials."
  10. Works for me.
  11. I'm sorry but I couldn't help myself.
  12. Maybe a track could help? Only time I know of when you can't fire the laser is if it's being masked and you can tell by the little m on the TGP screen and I believe one on the HUD as well. This video should explain it a bit better than I ever could.
  13. Why is it ED's fault that your download got corrupted?
  14. Night mission shooting at boats with no real direction on where to find them.
  15. Looks like you fell into a crater left by the one of the bombs and it broke your landing gear.
  16. Let me guess. X-52?
  17. +1 I'll often bring one or two of each and save the H's for stationary SAMs, and the D's for moving ones.
  18. Give it time. It took a couple of days for the bashers to show up on that one too.
  19. Night mission. Flew under a flare I launched out of boredom.
  20. I don't need any when you're not only failing to provide proof to back up your claim and the burden of proof is on you, you're also trying to derail the argument by changing the focus on me. So if you're done, then so be it. Your evidence isn't much to anybody right now anyway. Fair enough. I'm interested in the results myself. But to reiterate, there are 3 different categories. Comparing SARHs to ARHs is like comparing ground beef to prime rib. I do believe he is, but trying to tell me the grass is blue and not defining what green is then not showing me how he got to that conclusion isn't going to work. I don't remember if he posted track files in his old thread, but in order to say something is weakest, you need something to be strongest. As of right now the only thing to compare it to is the AIM-7, which I didn't see him do any tests with. I don't care how scientific his test was, without a control it means nothing. And I did do a search for anything about Wags saying ER is weaker than other missiles. Please pay attention to the part about the 3 different categories. SAHRs include AIM-7, R-27ER, and R-27R. The SHOULD be the same logic. AIM-120s of both variants and R-77s should have a higher chaff resistance.
  21. Been working great for me. Several hard landings that would have sunk it before didn't.
  22. That doesn't explicitly say ERs are the worst, which is what ///Rage is trying to say. He (Wags) says SAHRs are in one category which includes the AIM-7. It also means they have the same logic. We all know the AIM-120C has the best chaff resistance, which it should considering it's a newer missile. That would certainly be a much better argument if all missile get tested in near identical conditions so we have something to compare it to. Understandable that conditions will vary slightly between tests, so a large data sample will hold more water than just a handful of tests. If we can see the results and are able to see track files, I'd be more than happy to admit that one missile is stronger if that is what happens in testing, since they should be identical with the current logic. And they should be as missile logic for all SARHs should be the same. ARHs are a different category completely.
  23. What my experience is isn't up for debate. I'm asking you to provide ANY evidence to your claims about an official statement from ED saying that ERs have the weakest missile logic. Which is bunk anyway because in order to say that, you need something to compare it to. The AIM-7 for example would be good. So far all you demonstrated is the effectiveness of ERs prior to 1.2.5, and that is not good enough to be a scientific claim. A post full of numbers claiming that only one missile is underpowered means little. You seem to be reading between the lines that don't exist and think your postings count as an official statement from ED simply because they admitted to chaff being too strong for ALL missiles. Not just ER. If you find anything official that states ERs have the weakest logic, I'll be willing to accept that you're right. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. So now, find something from ED stating that ERs have the weakest logic or stop wasting everybody's time.
  24. 1. There was nothing that said anything about ERs specifically. And I'm not seeing any evidence to support your claims in it being the weakest. 2. My results differ from yours. I see no reason why my experience has less value than yours.
  25. I'm a bit confused. First you mention that Wags said R/ERs have a higher chance of tracking chaff, and I tried to find the post just to confirm. But neither of those specifially say that R/ERs are weaker.
