  1. Here's a good tip....... If in any doubt, any doubt at all........LCtrl +e+e+e :D :joystick:
  2. Interesting post Zimmerdylan........thanks for sharing it with us. Looking forward to his thoughts on "our Hawg" Please post them up when you're ready. Have some rep mate.
  3. I have the Warthog too and I can't recommend it enough. It's awesome and for the A10C module it adds immersion 1000%. I agree on all points dburne made above. I've had mine a couple of years now and it still performs without a hitch. The red paint has faded on the stick trigger but hey I just love the A10C's gun :D I put a 80mm extension on mine too I bought of Wassy100 (great guy BTW) here on the forums, which make flying the helicopters a little easier. If you can get one.........do it.
  4. Nice. Heat blur effect on the Hardened Aircraft Shelters in the background looks great. I can almost smell the jet exhaust!.
  5. Are you guy's going to post a change log?
  6. Well, this would definitely be a day 1 buy for me. I spent years working on Tonka's whilst I was in the RAF, on both the F3 and GR1 variants. The IDS variant would be err........shall we say more exciting in DCS :D
  7. This was posted in the newsletter dated Dec 4th :- DCS World 2.0 and Nevada Map Update Over the past week, we have been keeping a very close eye on bug reports and have noted them in our bug tracking database. We are now in the process of addressing those bugs in order to bring the map from Alpha to Beta. We expect to bring you the first Nevada map update next week. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151478 I guess the update for 2.0 is just not ready for release yet.
  8. Same here......thanks for the info. Anyone know if there will be an update to 2.0 today. I read in last weeks newsletter that they were planning two updates this week, one for 1.5 and the other for 2.0 but it wasn't mentioned at all in this weeks newsletter. Would be nice to get the memory leak fixed in that version too
  9. Excellent work Bunyap  Really enjoyed watching them, and thanks for sharing.
  10. Nice work Stuka  Dumb question inbound though.....but I guess it's only a dumb question if you know the answer and unfortunately I don't! :music_whistling: How do you open the initial selections list within Google Earth. I can't find it anywhere.
  11. Enjoyed reading your post DrDetroit  I would love to visit there someday and see the area for myself, youre a lucky guy. Back to topic yes you made some valid points there. Hope it gets modded by ED. Its great fun flying a helo around Groom Lake, those helo ops you mention would make a good mission objective :joystick:
  12. Nice to see it from a different perspective......it was just a blur last time I went down the strip :joystick:
  13. Nice  I enjoyed it. Your settings look just fine and shows off the NTTR well.
  14. Nice  Will give it a try over the weekend. Thanks Cibit. Looks like you're enjoying Nevada as much as I am! :joystick: Great ain't it :D
  15. Agree 100% NTTR and 2.0 has been a looooong time coming but boy oh boy was it worth the wait. ED really have done us proud. I'm loving it and cant get enough. The detail they have put into the map is nothing short of astounding. I keep finding Easter eggs all the time. Thank You to all at ED including all their partners. Long may it continue.
  16. Anyone been to Rachel yet? When I dropped in there earlier tonight in the old Huey I found this....... How cool is that! For anyone not following me just google "Rachel Nevada" or "The Little A'le'Inn"
  17. Thanks for the update Cobra
  18. Great news Cobra  I had no issues installing the MiG in 2.0 and it never asked for a re-activation. It loads no problem but like everyone else I have the frozen cockpit issue.
  19. Ahh, ok.... I stand corrected. When I worked on Harriers they had a weather vane device just in front of the pilots windscreen and this was used as a wind direction indicator as it was dangerous to hover the aircraft in a cross/side wind, it had to face into wind for vertical take off or a stable hover. A side wind caused the aircraft to pitch away from the lee side. This would then alter the thrust vector away from vertical and the aircraft to slew sideways. Never worked on helicopters, so I thought the piece of wool was a similar device. :)
  20. Great video there Wags  Lovely detail on the Gazelle, love the piece of wool in front of the windscreen as a visual wind direction indicator for the pilot......nice touch that. This module is definitely a day 1 purchase for me. The NTTR map sure complements helicopter flying with all that ground detail.
  21. Feel free anyone to correct me if I'm wrong here but my understanding is that 2.0 plus the NTTR will be a completely stand alone release, and they are keeping 1.2.6 as the stable version for now and leaving 1.5 in Beta. So effectively we who are taking part in the Beta and have purchased NTTR will have 3 separate installs of DCS on our machines. 1.2.6 1.5 Open Beta 2.0 with NTTR Alpha So in your case you will have 1.2.6 and 2.0 with NTTR on your PC.
  22. Great gesture mate  I already have the MiG-21 but I will wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone thinking of taking up on chobbsUH60 very kind offer. Have some rep buddy..... Great community we all have here :)
  23. +1 Get well soon Cobra...................
  24. Well, I've got 97.4GB free on my DCS SSD so I hope that will be enough!
