  1. I'd believe this pic indicates approx half of Batumi's runway, if I'm not mistaken. I'm not sure of the Batumi runway length !!
  2. Someone mentioned difficulty with the P51 takeoff (another forum), so I decided to take one for a flip and 'film' it, as an example.
  3. Thanks.. I was impressed myself :), as it's been about 2 months since I touch any aircraft. Nice to know you can still 'do it'...
  4. Just a quickie on takeoff/landing.. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4le9ssjw2jc2nqs/P51TakeOffLanding.mp4 130MB = 07:40
  5. Ah.. Mr. WoodsGLen... You're suffering from Cessna OR Civilian aircraft flying I would believe ?
  6. That is an excellent skin.. well done. It must have taken many hours !!
  7. In the usual job interviews/psychometric tests they will ask you this question. They consider 'Half-Full' as the correct answer, indicating an optimist. BUT I say the the correct answer is 'Half-Empty', indicating not a pessimist, as they like to condem, but a realist. An optimist is like a lemming.. a realist is not :)
  8. In DCS WW2, I'd like to see a LA7, Yak3.. and other a/c dated at the same time as the P51D and Dora. I see no reason to stay in the west, and it'll add an extended dimension to eastern europe for the WW2 era. In IL2, in a FW I always found the Yak's and LAs more of a challenge compared to the P51Ds... this will definitely be a great addition. As for modelling data, any WW2 data is a 'challenge'. :-)
  9. Or... DCS 1944 is coming out soon :-) I bide my time for quality !
  10. My mistake.. it's version 11 My point being.. .. is that as development goes on, the run-time packages change as well, but do the registry entries change - if you keep the same names, you get problems.. which is why I avoid the registry like the plague. Nice in theory.. but cr.p once the sh.t hits the fan. :-)
  11. I agree with MatzWarhog: I'm having the same problems with 127. Never had a single online problem with 126. I have a feeling it's the c++ run-time files (there are so many of these buggers installed, it makes you cry). This version installed Ver10 if I'm not mistaken.. most probably 'popped' the registry settings - anyone for a Pizza bet :-) :-)
  12. A Korean skin... modified. Will complete soon..
  13. That's an idea.. :-) I'll look at that - thanks
  14. FYI: Another point of interest, is with recording with Fraps (latest) - that latest movie. The only way I can get a smooth recording flow, at full resolution is to run the playback at half-speed, with VSync locked. Any other DCS setting and I get erratic jerky recordings even missing 1 second of detail ??
  15. Ah.. Ok FPS: Mostly above 60 (vsync not selected), averaging around 100, max'ing at 140'ish (blue sky) and high 50's when lot's of ground details. An occasional quick low spike when events happen (FW canopy ejecting = 20), or start of fires and smoke (= 45'ish), but climbs again. I'm running with Med-High settings for graphics on 1920x1080 resolution.

  17. Thowing the P51 around.. Not perfect yet.. but practising avoiding the AI. https://www.dropbox.com/s/o38f9jyoxwgutrq/Avoid3.f4v[\url] (85MB)
  18. How do you see your Frame Rate ? Mine must be fairly high, as I don't see any stuttering, and when I accelerate time, the results are the same and there's no difference, except what the brain can keep up this.. :-) Don't know how much difference the 'Box' would make ? The Box: Win7 Pro Intel Core I7-2600 @ 3.4Ghz Ram = 16GB GCard = NVidia GeForce GTX 560 4GB Vram Resolution = 1920x1080
  19. I thought maybe the track might be corrupted with the up/download, so downloaded both and tried them... with no problems. It seems to point towards track PC hardware dependencies.. maybe they need to try another recording format ?
  20. Try this track... It'll be interesting to see if there's a problem with track between different types of PCs. Maybe a track is hardware dependent ? :-) FW190AI.trk
  21. It is possible for a bullet to come straight back at you.. depending on what it, and how it, hits an object. There's a video of a guy firing either a .303 or .5 inch single shot at a rock about 100m away... the ricochet clipped his right ear muff - he was very lucky indeed. If your scenario happened with one or two shell.. I'd think it is possible... but if it happens all the time, then there could be a bug.
  22. If I'm not mistaken the FW190 AI flies with 'Binary Intelligence' wrt to controlling the aircraft. Just observing my tracks, I wondered why the silly AI was always rolling around. With the wing vortex's now available in 127.. I see the silly bugger stalling the aircraft all the time. It's as if the AI is 'ham-fisted' and too heavy on the controls. Surely it's just a few lines of code to reduce this 'behaviour'.. nudge nudge !! BTW.. the wing vortex's are coming out of the aerolons - the devs might want to move it to the wingtips :-)
