  1. I haven't the foggiest.
  2. Congrats guys! It's been fun so far during my short time on there. I've learned a lot!
  3. Amiga fan here from the day: F/A-18 Interceptor F-16 Combat Pilot
  4. You get reputation power when someone praises a post you made as valuable. When someone comments "+1" in a post, they usually had given reputation to that person. To give someone reputation, click that little +/- icon under their profile name in the left part of the post. When you click on User CP at the top of the forum site, it will show you who gave you previous reputation.
  5. Not a problem. I think Shahdoh had told me you just need to be within the distance of two of those single gates close AND under 300 ft. to get a registered time on that gate. In other words you don't have to be real close, just be low enough in passing the gate to trigger it.
  6. Here are the instructions you get prompted with when starting the mission. Key point is less than 300 ft through/around gates. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to Shahdoh's Time Trials - Batumi 2013 This is a Redbull style air race, 1 person on the course at a time. 1st one in the "course" area will be tracked through the gates and time will be given when there are no aircraft in the course.Select an aircraft and there is a map of the course in the briefing. Gate 1 will start the timer. There is a 10 second penalty for missed gates and miss more then 3 gates and you will be disqualified. You will also be disqualified if you leave the course without going through gate 17. Please be curteous to other pilots, if you have flown the course, exit and please wait to see if another wishes to go. If clear, then proceed to reenter the course. Would hate to have to put in controls in how frequent the course can be ran. Thank you for your cooperation. Its a nice, calm, sunny day in Batumi. Channel A is set for Batumi Tower. Any questions or comments, Please contact Shahdoh on the server or PM him on the DCS forums. Hope you enjoy the racing. Shahdoh Gate 1 is entered from the south with a max alt of 300 feet (this applies to all gates and is approximately the tops of the oil rigs) and will be marked with 2 flares. Gate 2 is the start of a 3 single pylon slalom. Make a left hand turn heading west to Gate 3. Pass gate 3 on the left hand side with a roll to the right to setup for gate 4. Do a left hand turn heading south towards double pylon gate 5. Continue the left turn and you will see 2 sets of double pylons close to each other. Gate 6 is the 2nd set on your left. Pass through this gate and pull hard left to come around through the pylons you passed up. and is gate 7. Continue heading east and you will be heading for what was gate 1, It is now Gate 8, A slight left turn (NE) will set you up for Gate 9. Here do an Immelman turn to go back through what was gate 1 & 8 which is now Gate 10. At this point, you are flying the course in reverse all the way back to the start.
  7. +1 Thanks for the detailed instructions Ebs!
  8. :megalol: Nice.... Damn martians.
  9. That was fun to watch. I kept waiting for the wing to burn more but it appeared to have the same level of burning through out. Nice job!
  10. OK, got my time down to 158.71 seconds in the F-15. Still have a ways to go to catch the real pros here that are getting in the 122 second range. I also had a chance to create my first movie.... It's captured by Fraps-Free (until I can buy the full version) and edited with Microsoft Movie Maker (also free).
  11. I've seen you fly.... I'll take your word for it. :surrender:
  12. Very carefully...... I'm fairly new to this so this way is just one of many. I try to keep it between 250 and 350 knots most of the way. If I get a little too fast, I'll cut the throttle all the way back and bank harder into the next turn. That slows me down faster. Once I get down to 200-250, the opposite, slam it on to full throttle. Hard turns work better for me to slow down than air braking. If you try to pull a hard turn above 350 though, you start to black out. So there's a sweet spot between stalling and blacking out. Have fun! It's been a blast for me. Nice lesson in flying under 500 feet and seeing your shadow get close to you. ;)
  13. I'll try to catch you at some point Storm! FYI: That screen capture isn't the final time counting gate penalties... :music_whistling: My time was after gates, now where's that .trk file of mine?
  14. Got my time down to 169 in an F-15. Aspiring to bring that down more. Thanks Shahdoh for designing such a fun course.... +1
  15. Yep, that trk file shows it good when you look at it from outside, F2.
  16. Thanks for the info! I'm used to slamming the nose down as soon as the rear wheels touch..... I guess I'll delay that now.
  17. I saw that one too Skate.... It was like the controls went nuts on me for one landing. I may have notched my speed up a little high on approach with the gear down.
  18. :gun_sniper: Kenan :) Just kidding.... Sounds like for me I just need to clean up landings a bit.
  19. Hey Brood, I've had a couple of landings on the new patch that caused my gear to disappear too. Seems to be a little more sensitive than before the patch. I'll try your "Permit Crash Recvr" setting as well and see if that helps.
  20. Thanks Mastiff! Didn't know that.
  21. Vodka anyway......
  22. Agreed. Good Work Guys!
  23. I installed 314.07 drivers on my PC today. No noticeable issues on FC3 at this point.
  24. So is "Magic" the callsign name in your logbook for single player? Not sure what else could be wrong.
  25. One of the mistakes I made on first pass was to change the initiator field. It's supposed to be Iinitiator. Two I's at the start of word.
