  1. If his callsign isn't Peppy then you're doing it all wrong. (Starfox 64 reference for all the youngins here.)
  2. At this point I think general consensus is that some RL shit came up for the small dev team and things are being delayed. "We" still don't know if it's gone to Bell yet.
  3. In the DCS controls menu for UI, look for recenter headset (or something like that) and create a keybind for it. I did Lshift+Lalt+W and just created a Voiceattack command so I didn't have to waste a precious hotas button. While youre there, you might want to set kebinds for the two zoom levels for vr. Very helpful for reading mfd's and spyglass is good for outside target acquisition. I even go as far to set both zooms on throttle and stick so if I'm using one hand to do other shit I can still use the other hand to zoom.
  4. Head over to the VR section of the forum and read the stickies. Then enjoy reading another 17472 threads between here and reddit. Enjoy the obsessive struggle to get just that last 1.5 frames back from the fps monstor DCS can be!
  5. I'm getting IC fail in 2.7OB on bazar/shaders/posteffects/nvd_common.hlsl . I'm only running Sharper Eye Reshade with it but SER alone isn't triggering it. Only when I add this mod. Confirmed it's the IC Pass version multiple times and redownloaded 3 times. Also repaired DCS between downloads. Can I just delete this specific file from the _MOD folder? (going straight from dashboard to multiplayer servers, no SP here.)
  6. \thread OP, you've been around long enough to know that these dates are picked out of a hat at ED happy hours....
  7. Every time I see this thread "bold" on the list, I die a little inside each time it's not the Devs...
  8. Because the F16 now exists.
  9. People didn't know most of the changes until the changelog came out that morning. It was always "the clouds!" People were clamoring for in the weeks preceeding. I'm not arguing the wait and see approach, and I'm curious just from a project management standpoint, what are some of the things changed for developers after 2.7. My point was only that it's understandable that people are super excited (and sometimes frustrated) for this MODULE, when we see people geeking out about clouds.
  10. No kidding! Or maybe 10hrs real life flight time. I'm really hoping things settle on the gpu front soon. I feel like my 13 month old 2080ti is getting long in the tooth with all these graphical updates, especially with me in vr....
  11. Mind sharing the numbers for your detail level settings?
  12. I made a lot of changes yesterday while i was waiting for the drop so I'm not sure what was 2.7 and what was some of my cleanup. I forced decompression of ram, defragged, and moved DCS to a dedicated m2.nand SSD I also haven't tested with many clouds since I ran into a ton of issues trying to get into MP and being shoved into Wonder Woman's invisible jet. However, apples to apples in instant action missions, there's some improvement in performance. Not much, but honestly I was expecting a big hit so I'm happy so far. One thing I REALLY like is the display mirror setting in the VR section. Now you can pick an eye and use it to stream, which is awesome that I don't have to run a separate mirror in steam vr.
  13. Very unlikely. How much delay there is, is also a crap shoot.
  14. No stranger than everyone freaking out about 2.7 coming today. Which is mostly just clouds.... not a weather system.... just clouds.
  15. There's no difference between those screenshots and any others we've seen the last 6 months. Silence is not over in the slightest.
  16. I don't think anybody is upset that it is taking longer, or want PC to rush. All most want is an update, any update. Even "Hey guys, we fell on our faces and have to completely redo the FM" is better at this point than silence. Now, the update above on discord was nice since it basically said we have to wait to see what 2.7 does to it before any more can be shared, and that's fine. But a lot of people are interested in the building process and it inevitably builds excitement for release (aka revenue). Couple this with the overall concensus on the Gazelle and it's understandable people are frustrated.
  17. This is confusing..... Are you saying ground forces need tweaked? Because this isn't the thread for that. How would you change or add anything to an aircraft to successfully do whatever it is you're suggesting? (Still confused on the ask)
  18. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for it coming out when it's ready. But I've been waiting so long (it feels like it anyway) that I need to start predicting worst case so I feel awesome when it comes out before lol.
  19. Looks like maybe Q3 at the earliest. Probably more like Q4 if they still have 30%of the fm to go....
  20. Edit: NVM, didn't read down far enough.
  21. I'm not familiar with creating a symbolic link at all, and I'm afraid to attempt this for fear of irreversibly messing something up. Can I ask for some guidance on the process for doing this? I have a DCS World folder in S:\ that needs to point to the steam path C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DCSWorld. EDIT: Disregard, took a stab at doing a hard link and it worked. Tested by requesting takeoff, immediate reply. Oddly enough, i tried a radio check with my flight using Tx2 (UHF) and it didn't work until I did Tx4 Auto. Will have to play around, but that's surely user error. Thanks for talking me down, all!
  22. I've been messing with this for a few days now with no luck. Symptom is the same as many; I see commands register in VA just fine, and confirmed this by creating another profile and cycling gear on an a/c. Worked fine. Worth noting I'm running Steam version so my pathing is through the Steam\steamapps...etc. I pulled the VIACOMPRO log to see if what I'm seeing is the culprit, so here it is..... VAICOM PRO logfile Plugin version 2.5.3 build 180610-01 License: PRO Executing automatic lua code installation. No new DCS modules to import. Exported aliases to keywords.txt, keyword count = 480 Current profile string does not match database. Startup finished. Ready for commands. First, all .lua's check installed okay, but they're not. It starts with the DCS installation file showing in the wrong drive. It's actually in my c:\programs drive and I can't change it (even with custom file path in config menu). Instead, it's CREATING it's own S:\games\DCS World folder and placing the two UI and the Sound .lua's in there. I've highlighted potential problem areas in red above. Things I've done so far: 1. Installed all programs fresh and in same drive. Three times. 2. Messed with mic settings in both windows and VA. (shouldn't be an issue since VA is fine on its own). 3. Manual install of .lua's per pg. 33 in the manual. No luck, which is why I feel pathing is the issue. 4. Ensured Tx buttons mapped correctly both in VA and DCS. I feel like I've run out of brain at this point and I'm ready to give up and ask for help. Here's an example of the comms string. I tested many different prases on all mapped Tx inputs, both easy comms on/off: 10:40:53 PM - Joystick : 'Transmit TX1 press' 10:40:53 PM - Listening resumed 10:40:56 PM - Recognized : 'batumi' (Confidence 88) 10:40:56 PM - Captured sentence: batumi 10:40:56 PM - Have result, identified as recipient : Batumi 10:40:56 PM - (awaiting additional input) 10:40:59 PM - Recognized : 'request engines start' (Confidence 94) 10:40:59 PM - Captured sentence: request engines start 10:40:59 PM - Have result, identified as command : Request Engines Start 10:40:59 PM - Specific recipient called, instant select mode = True 10:40:59 PM - Constructing message... 10:40:59 PM - TX1 | VHF AM: [ Batumi ],[ ],[ ] Request Engines Start [ ] [ ] 10:40:59 PM - Joystick : 'Transmit TX1 release' 10:40:59 PM - Listening suspended
