  1. with no mods MFD's in A-10C are readable for me too,Hud is a little blurry but readable. With the Debug tool HUD and MFD's are 100 percent readable, its night and day difference.
  2. Hey Skate can we get an Oculus CV1/DCS troubleshooting sticky? I think there will be a big influx of newbies coming soon and we dont want them to have to wade through hundreds of pages of impressions yada yada. Thanks!
  3. My problem is that every time I start Oculus Home it says sensor not detected and I have to reboot to get it to work.
  4. Anyone able to get the headphones working on CV1 with DCS? They work with all the Oculus home apps, not DCS tho.
  5. I was disappointed as well. I understand the 10 year logic on hard core HOTAS,lets face it they knocked it outta the park with the Warthog, but there are still things they can do with the Warthog to make us happy and make more money. A full size extension for the stick for starters. I'm gonna hold out hope that they will add an F-18 swappable grip when the Hornet comes out.
  6. The mouse works fine in 1.5 for me although it still needs some tweaking. In 2.0 the mouse is a hot mess, the cursor freezes during the debrief and I have to shut down DCS,also the cursor swaps from game to desktop sometimes and you constantly have to remove the headset to make the game window active if that makes sense. One last thing,is it just me or did the visual cues disappear from the training missions in 1.5 in VR?
  7. I've had these pedals connected for a few years and all of a sudden they arent listed in the controls option in DCS. They have been replaced by a 3 button gamepad. I dont currently have a gamepad connected.
  8. I was originally slated for April delivery and now pushed back to late may early June.
  9. I agree,Oculus definitely brought this on themselves. I ordered DK1 and waited months for it,I knew it was a dev kit and I knew before I ordered it that it would be months before I got it,they sold 50k units I believe. DK2 came out and again they said it would be months before you get it. I figured maybe they learned from the logistical problems they had with DK1 so DK2 should ship faster, and in my opinion or at least in my case DK2 did ship slightly faster than DK1. I believe they sold 100k units. Now they are owned by Facebook, a multi billion dollar company, first day of preorders = website crash, I was ok with that, it happens. Order confirmation errors,ok with that also. When you ordered your rift there was a brief second where it showed what month your rift would be delivered, since the website crashed you had to constantly reorder and the date changed to April, then May then June all within a matter of minutes. I had like 40 total charges on my CC because I kept trying to reorder. I'm sure all of you are in the same boat so I know you know how I feel. The first rifts are being delivered to the people who backed the kickstarter, they cant even fill those orders even though they claim they have been making them since September. At this point I'm tired of typing, to sum it all up they should have had a minimum of 150k CV1's ready to ship on March 28th,there is no way they have anywhere close to that. Everyone is saying be patient, I was patient during DK1 and DK2,even Gear VR. Dont offer the product if you dont have the product.
  10. Anyone other than me getting double vision on the mouse pointer when looking at the UFC and some of the other controls? The cockpit itself is fine, just the mouse pointer with a DK2. It gets worse as you lean forward and better as you back away. In other words I see two mouse crosshairs when I lean forward, and it is fine if I lean back.
  11. I have owned the DK1, Three DK2's, Gear VR innovator edition and consumer edition. I have also pre-ordered 2 Oculus CV-1's. I want to get the Vive also but I'm going to wait and see on that one. In the end I think the experience with Oculus CV1 and the Vive will probably be identical as far as DCS is concerned.
  12. I ordered one with paypal but have not received an email yet,I also had my son order one with a credit card and I got the confirmation and it should ship in March. I knew it was going to be a fiasco!! My credit card got hit for sixty 1 dollar charges because of refreshing, multiple failed attempts etc.
  13. I used them for the side by side setup ala F-16. The plans were like 20 bucks and I spent maybe 30-40 dollars on parts. It was super easy and 3 years later it's still going strong. The parts needed are: Pvc pipe Pvc pipe cutter glue ruler or measuring tape rubber mallet or hammer screws and screwdriver wood and a saw and the plans of course!!
  14. Get a Thrustmaster Warthog set and dont look back,Its heavy duty as hell and feels like it will last a lifetime!!
  15. I dont think a zoom feature is a good idea because of motion sickness.I do think a binocular feature would be easier on the user.Difference being binocular is an istant zoom, not a slow motion sickness zoom if that makes sense.
  16. Hell frigging yeah!!! Key word being a couple of kits!!!
  17. Unfortunately I work on the weekends,I hope this will be recorded and posted on the forums.
  18. They have been working on DCS World 2/NTTR for years. Not taking a few days to promote their product on a national stage with Oculus is a mistake. I'm thinking they didnt get an invite from Oculus.
  19. I have a performance question for you guys. I have a DK2 with a GTX 760. I'm thinking about maybe snagging a used 970 or 980 on Ebay. For those of you with a 970 or 980 what is the performance like with DK2 and DCS,do you get an acceptable frame rate with max settings? My system specs are i7-2600, GTX 760, 16 gig RAM, SSD drive, Win 7.
  20. My thoughts for which item I will purchase are which one has the highest resolution and which one will have DCS support out of the box.If it turns out they are equal and both have DCS support then I will get the Vive, why wait 4 or 5 extra months if I dont have to. If it turns out the Oculus has better features down the road then I will sell the Vive and get the Rift. Either way this is a great time for flight sim fans!!
  21. Great update, keep up the good work!!!
  22. I think motion sickness has been eliminated or at least drastically reduced since DK1. With DK1 I would get instant motion sickness in any First person shooter, especially Half-Life 2. As soon as I moved it felt like my brain was frying. I never got any sickness with DCS with DK1. When I bought a DK2 I tried Half Life 2 again, knowing that I would be sick as soon as I took a forward step.No sickness at all,I played for 2 hours straight where I wouldnt have lasted 2 minutes with DK1.
  23. Can I buy one of these as a gift for someone?
  24. If DCS is supported by the Vive on it's launch date then I will buy the Vive,if not I may hold out for Oculus since I know it will have DCS capability.Hopefully they will both be functional with DCS right off the bat.Any comment ED? lol
