I had the DK1 and DK2. DK2 was awesome but like most have said it needs a higher resolution.I sold my DK2 after about 2 weeks.I had extra money and wanted to see the improvements over the DK1.I will say this,I could never go back to flying without VR,it's that immersive!!

What sucks is I'm mostly into modern aircraft so I wouldnt get many of those aircraft even if they were free.I would never fly them.

I would like to create a zero visibility ILS landing scenario.The way the mission editor is set up,you would have to be a meteorologist to set up the weather conditions. Basically I'm looking for a night mission with heavy fog/rain where you cant see the runway until the last few seconds.I am open to any tracks or suggestions anyone has. Thanks

I wouldnt be surprised if Thrustmaster comes out with an F-18 stick right around the time F-18C is released.

Strictly a guess on my part but I think the F-18 map will be the Persian Gulf.I'm thinking desert terrain would be easier to make than say the jungles of Vietnam/North Korea,they could use assets from Nevada since it is a desert also,and finally because there is always some kind of conflict going on in the Middle East.

We need to start spamming Thrustmaster with emails for a F-18 flight stick attachment for the Warthog!!!

Just so you guys know ED has not even acknowledged that multiplayer does or does not work with the Rift. I for one can tell you that not one single person I know of has gotten it to work.Since they wont say a single thing about it my guess would be that its low on their priority list.

The only reason I got the P-51 was because it was on sale.I'm done with legacy aircraft.Wake me up when they start putting out aircraft that arent 50+ years old.I got a feeling I'm going to be asleep for a loooong time.

There are actually several versions of the S model,I guess they made changes to it in stages. The final "modernized" S Cobra had a 20mm canon,TOW missiles,forward optics and a HUD.Then after they made more changes they redesignated it as the F Cobra. Confused? I was in the Marines Corps from 1987-1991 and for a very short period in 1990 I was with a Cobra squadron and I would ask the Plane Captains or pilots questions about the Cobra.At the time the Marine Corps had the AH-1T and the AH-1W was new but these guys were already talking about Zulu performance and this was 24 years ago. So it may not be as classified as we may think. Just a thought.

You should buy it regardless unless you cant spare the money right now. You definitely wont be losing money by ordering one,the resale value is insane.I sold my DK1 to fund a DK2(profited 200) I will sell my DK2 whenever DK3/CV1 is announced(probably profit another 2-300 dollars) The only flaw in my example is that I have to sit a few months in between each version with no Rift lol.

So the prehistoric BMS is the pinnacle of flight sims,this is one of the reasons it's not in DCS? Very lame,in other words if we have to compete with another version of an aircraft we wont make it,maybe thats why the Hornet is taking forever.

It crashed with DK1 also and no reply from ED on the problem.

All I can say is that I have yet to find a person that could get DCS working with a DK1 or DK2 with an AMD card. ED has not acknowledged that there is a problem to begin with.Their lack of acknowledgement leads me to believe there might be an NDA keeping them from saying there is a problem

Frusheen I can tell you that even with DK1 if you use the rift in extended mode the mouse wont work,the mouse cursor is not calibrated correctly if that makes sense.
