can you maybe check your settings that your throttle doesnt jump between 100% and 99.5%? Because i dont have that issue. Tobi, 8Ball: 2-3 thins i experienced. Please note, that i play very picky. So decide by yourself if you want to adress it or not. During Engine Start, the Raise of the Temp should be a bit Quicker and not going over the Red Line. 750, to 770 is a normal start Temp, There should be 2 Peaks at around 25% N1 and 35ish You can see here that the needle slows down and then continues to raise You should be able to release the Starter at 56-58% N1 (In the Book its 58 but in the RealWorld it works also a bit earlier. Idle 60% is the minimum you should have as per the Engine MM, standart is 63% (60 to 65) When doing slope landings, the Cyclic feels less responsive. a few degrees bank towards the hill and youre not able to recover. At the End of an AR, when cushion the Landing, it behaves as it would have a torque on the Tail, so you have to Push Power Pedal. Can you please Check? Im not able to post a track until sunday Please note that i really really enjoy this bird!!

Did you check this Topic? (Lowering the Details to Medium was the solution for me)

Just fly smooth. Center above the load, before pickup, slowly climb a few feet, then slowly and smoothly increase speed. Its only about Practice... good luck
-
where did you have your collective and what was the Speed? It can happen if you pull a lot of power and still in the climb and accelleration
-
Physicly all rotor designs can do barrelrolls since you only have positive G when flown correctly. The issue is the velocity / power / speed you need to fly it from start to finish. The issue is more that you loose too much speed on the top, when you need it the most
-
Its not about the forward AR. Its about the unrealistic behaviour with 0 speed. Regardless what the graphs say. A helicopter does not behave like that. Otherwise i would be dead already… its also not about the touchdown.

Hello the decent rate in a 407 with 0 knots airspeed, throttle at idle and NR kept at 100% is about 2k feet. When applying collective to NR 95% its a bit less. It is possible to land with 0knots but the window when to stop the the decsent with the collective is very small. the issue here is that it needs more than 50% collective to keep the NR within limits and when doing that the kiowa falls into vrs. Thats not a normal behaviour i will try to post a trackfile on the weekend
-
I have the same issue. Hovering also does not need any aft cyclic.
-
Yes, in the real world its forward flight
-
i would not call it violently. It needs a few MM of Cyclic left. Every Helicopter has a different stick position in the different stages of flight.

When deactivating Bob, the Trimmer will be reseted. If its on Purpose, please ignore Thanks!

Thanks for the Explanation Question to the LCT: Will it Tilt the whole Gearbox or just the swashplate (as in all other Helos)?
-
Just to confirm: You did choose the cargo to pick up and red smoke is coming off the choosen cargo?
-
patience and practice... Figure out in what exact attitude the helo is stable and then do small adjustments around this attitude. (With no Wind etc.) Before this, learn the basics. You dont need any special gear. The 6 Inch Extension is Fine. The Curves of 24 a bit enough in my opinion. Try it with 10 and with finer adjustments. The Art is to do as least as possible on the cyclic. Pilots (IRL and SIM) who wobble the Stick around like a rudder boat are n00bs good Luck
-
probably because you had your Collective too far down.

Checkout this Thread. It helped me to set the Textures to Medium. Could not see a difference. I will also try to reduce the panelgraphic size. Loading the Flight takes ages. Especial the "World Preload 1/60"
-
Setting the Textures to Medium was the solution in my case. Thankyou!

investigating Cargo with more than 11025lbs is not displayed
dahui posted a topic in Bugs and Problems
When setting the Cargo to a weight of more than 11025lbs (in my case 15000) it will not be shown in the radio menu where i can choose which cargo i want to hook. (The MI8 has the same issue)-

When Reducing the Airpseed to 0 in the AR, with Throttle Closed, the Helo "falls" into a Vortex and the NR is getting unnormally high, it needs 1/2 to 3/4 Collective to keep it down.
-
thats why it would need one.
-
Altough its a D Model, a very interesting full startup vid:
-
The kiowa is heavy and has „only“ a C30 engine installed. All good with the performance imho, i checked it with the performance tables, bevause i thought it has too much power

Hallo Tobi I still owe you a Trackfile regarding the Low / ZeroSpeed AR behaviour. But im currently almost never home. I saved some Trackfiles but was not able to post them. Sorry The Yaw Issue with not being able to stop the Rotation is only when the NR Overspeeds. When in Green its OK, you just have to apply a lot of Right Pedal, which seems fine to me. But, it will fall into a Vortex even with the TwistGrip in Idle. The Collective needs to be at almost 3/4 Up to have it under control. Normaly the Difference of the Collective Position between a normal AR (around 60kts, NR at 100%) and Vertical (0 kts) is only minimal. You have to apply a bit more Collective in the Vertical vs. the "normal". In the Real Thing (206, 407, 505) it works like this: Stable RPM at 60 kts., slight Flare and when you approach the 0 kts. you have to put the Collective down, until the Sinkrate increases, then you have to apply Collective again a bit more than before to keep it at a 100% again. Cyclic is far AFT. (On the 206 you sometimes are at the Mechanical Stop) greetings

EDIT: Is the Chinook in the Update included?
