Nice! its quite hard ^^ i had to "cheat" a little bit, with the ruler. its really hard to find the correct spots... it would be nice, when you are near the spot, when someone would say "you are close, there is a lake, go 2miles north" or something. I also had the problem after the landing and dropoff that nothing happens...? i had no possibility to ask the vector to the farp? or did i do something wrong? Thanks again!

no, thats the control indicator... not the "Black Bar" :) i would like also how to toggle it on and off... :)

Thanks! Well, the hovering on flat surfaces is not a problem... in fact, im pretty fast and precise. My concern goes to this: I have the HeliPad Mods installed and placed them on the outside of the airport in steep regions... so when im approaching on of these pads and im in the Ground effect over this plattform its hard to keep it stable... with the hip its e less problem, also without the SAS... its clear that, when you hovering over a steep surface, the one half of the Rotor Disc -> Ground effect, is closer than the other half and throug that you have a greater lift on one side... but its not that extreme in real life... i also think there is a kind of lag in such situations... EDIT: Also: the Hiller schould normally be an extreme Stabilityupgrade...

why? it seems like the real thing doesnt have it? i have it on a button and need it, when im landing. i always land in hover... no rolling landings...

i have it on the X52 stick... on the lower front button, where you have the small finger, when you hold the stick, with the whole hand

Wrong The Huey have a Mechanical Stabilisation, the Hiller-Bar ;) In my opinion, the Bird ist too nervous... way to nervous in the Hover... even perfectly trimmed. Also on mountain landings, when you have a slope surface. In reality its not that uncontrolable... especially not with a hiller...

you have to remember, that there are a few tons who are pressing on three small points, when you land. so even in a dry green surface, the wheels will sink 5-10cm (i know this from the SuperPuma in the RW) So you have to have a clean and nice hover, before you touch down and the, after you are a little bit on the ground, release the collective quick to zero. i have no problems to land. i will post a track, if you want... but you have to wait until tomorrow...

im not shure, that i understand, what you really want? :) But normaly you need just the collective for altitude hold or changes... throttle is just for start up and idle, full rpm etc... governor is the fuel control who keeps the RPM steady and then there is the "beeper" on the collective stick, where you can trim the RPM a few % when you have fast collective changes...

well there are some vids on Youtube about the trimable center position And concerning the Pedals... thats why you have to build it yourself ;) I will post it today, when im at home :p

then you have to put out the Spring of the pedals... the trim is nothing other than "there, where the steering force is on the lowest point, there is the "center""

Hallo in die Runde seit der Beta der MI8 bin ich daran für mich ein paar Missionen zu basteln. Ganz rudimentär, ein paar Farps und Heliports hier und dort... Nun stell ich mir die Frage ob es möglich ist, zb. auf einem FARP eine Huey, KA-50 und Mi8 zu platzieren und die während des Spiels zu wechseln? zb. Man fliegt ne Runde mit der Mi... landet neben der Huey und steigt dann in diese um? In der Suche konne ich leider nichts finden... Dankeschön! gruss

because the blades dont have zero pitch when the pedal is in the middle. because you have to push the right pedal to far for hovering... in the jetranger for example (PowerPedal is left but it doesnt play a role...) hovering is left pedal, cruise is a little bit right...

Ou yes, that would be great! Im playing with the mission editor just for fun since a few days... (Placing Helipads in the Mountains etc... it would be grate, when something would happen after a landing on a Pad, like Cargo on or offloading etc... But i have no idea how this works...

Hi! im playing with the MissionCreator in DCS World... Is it possible to get smaller FARPS somewhere? With only one Helipad? a 5Pad FARP is pretty unrealistic in the Mountains :p is there a download section somewhere, where i can download other structure etc? Thank You! greetings from Switzerland!
