  1. That was my first thought. Only the government would pay that much...
  2. I'm still hopeful! Russia celebrates the new year a second time on January 14th.:smilewink:
  3. It doesn't seem like the manual was updated to reflect the change. At least, I don't see in the manual what I see in the new HUD. All I get now when I select guns is a little circle with a dot in it corresponding to boresight. The snake is gone.
  4. You don't have it too? That's pretty surprising. Here is a track. All I do is leave the controls centered, throttle up, and let her go. First she tracks straight, but after 60 knots or so she yaws left, and the yaw accelerates until we go BOOM. This is with the latest NTTR released today, DCS 2.0.3.55945.98 Update 1. mirage yaw.zip
  5. Just tried the latest NTTR patch. The Mirage gunsight is completely different. Is the explanation of the change buried in the giant fix-it thread?
  6. Thank you ED! ---------------------
  7. Apparently this bug has hit the F-5, too. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2878979#post2878979
  8. Thank you for this thread. I don't own the F-5, but in the Mirage 2000 it is a really awful bug.
  9. I did adjust the seat and I know to make sure the radar altimeter is set to marche. I'll double check the RS selection as jojo points out.
  10. But if I do not select TAS mode the bombing pipper doesn't even appear. It's just a vertical line that never ends.
  11. The 109K is faster than the P-51D. We all seem to believe this, but are there charts or graphs to back it up? There is no way the P-51 climbs better than a 109K above 20,000ft, but is it faster? Does it have a clearly better sustained turn? P.S. Before you all get started, I'm talking about the in-game performance only.:smilewink:
  12. In multiplayer the P-51 should be flown with no more than 40% fuel, and if you drop a notch of flaps you can keep up with or even beat the 109K in a horizontal turn.
  13. Probably because of a crosswind. Small crosswinds send the Mirage veering off the runway in my experience. I'm yet to fly another jet simulation with such a tendency to yaw during takeoff. P.S. Yes, I've checked for double assignments.
  14. Oh, you're exactly right! The stutters only occur when the radar is on. When it is off or in silent mode the stutters are gone. No stutters with the Mig-23 radar, fwiw. It is not just the FC3 aircraft that are not affected.
  15. Thankyou. :) I didn't know I could flameout the engine with afterburner without selecting maximum!
  16. With Fox1 you want your missile to impact before the other guy's missile. When you're up against an opponent with longer range missiles, you need a wingman. If you can't force a 2vs1 situation against the adversary who knows you're there, you don't engage because you are inferior. Yeah, you can dance around the mountains at low level, but then you're relying on luck to keep you alive.
  17. I need your help to figure out why I flameout the Mig-21 so often. I'm posting a track where I get two flameouts without attempting anything out of the ordinary (so far as I can tell). I use a msffb2 so I don't have any issues with overly sensitive pitch control. I'm wondering if it's not negative g but something else I'm doing wrong. It's frustrating as heck when I get a nice kill on an F-15 only to break my plane before I can rtb. Grrr. :cry: See the track. Both flameouts are in the last 5 minutes or so. Thanks.:helpsmilie: http://www.mediafire.com/download/yaa63jd3bas82op/4_Op_Bison_EastvsWest_V6-20160815-185243.zip
  18. No one else sees this? You get the same performance with the M2KC in Nevada as you get with other modules?
  19. The large impostors are so bad I cannot fly on any server that has them.:protest:
  20. Again, is this by design or a mistake? It irks me when I see F-15s with 3 drop tanks.
  21. I'm cool with an FC3 level foxbat, but multiplayer is a competitive sport, isn't it? I like a good challenge, but I  when human-controlled Su-27s and F-15s lock me up from 60nm away while I'm parked, waiting for the INS to finish aligning.
  22. Yeah, I agree it is tedious. Your wish is shared!

    Fox1 warning on the RWR.
  24. Units that haven't spawned yet are stored in ram, but they don't seem to impact game performance. I built a mission with approximately 1000 units and I don't notice any frame rate hit until a bunch of them have spawned. Anyway, without scripting you have to use this procedure: 1. Copy the unit you want to respawn 2. Paste it on the map the number of times you want it to respawn 3. Set these units to have a delayed start 4. In the mission editors create a trigger for each respawn unit.
