https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosophic_burden_of_proof
-
Yes, please do show me the report.:smilewink: Asking for historical documents before the other guy does not automatically place the burden of proof on him. The burden of proof is on the one who is convinced he is correct, and I do not claim to be correct about anything. If there is a published procedure for the 109K-4 that says the elevator trim should be set fully nose-down that would be something.

You are being very uncharitable if your first conclusion is that I'm being dishonest. I'm not the best writer, so please take it easy with the accusations. I am very aware of the technical documents that have been presented, and other pilot reports have been presented here that tell a different story. I remain respectfully not-fully convinced.
-
This has been discussed a lot already. No one can figure out why the trim would work that way, but ED insists that it is correct. They went so far as to make the aileron and rudder trim tabs adjustable in the settings, but not the elevator trim tabs...:music_whistling:

Those stats are chilling. I hope you figure something out soon!:ermm:

Some friends of mine from college became medical doctors. One of them works 3 weeks on, then 2 weeks off. She still makes enough to pay her bills and afford a mortgage and loves her free time. You might have more free time in college than you do now in high school depending on whether or not you work a part-time job. Better to have kick-ass grades and do a lab internship than slave for pennies at the campus book store...

PzKpfw-VI Ausf. E Tiger I Pics in Weekend Update
gavagai replied to Captain Orso's topic in DCS: WWII Assets Pack
That is a more serious point than you think. The tiger could look like something from my kid's minecraft game and I would never see the difference from the air.:music_whistling: -
^^This. Get an education and choose a field in STEM. If you think affording a computer is difficult now, wait till you have to pay bills!
-
You got it. If you're in the pacific time zone then find a way to fly multiplayer at about 1pm. The quality of the combat is just really poor. You might get 5-6 minutes of combat for an hour of seat time, which causes the "desperate for a kill" behavior that ultimately makes things less enjoyable for everyone.

So I just got shot down by the AI in a mission I'm testing. The AI fired a 120B into a dogfight, the missile went pitbull and I was in its line of sight. "Never fire an Aamraam into a dogfight!" Doesn't the AI know this!?;)

Falcon 3 did not have smart scaling. It had simple object magnification. When Falcon 4 came out 1280x1024 res was coming into use. The irony is that even with smart scaling turned off, you can still see aircraft more easily in Falcon 4 than in DCS, and it is 16 years old.

I tried their 2000C for the sake of comparison after I purchased the Razbam module. It is very far below what we have here. A DCS 2000-5 would be nice, of course. The reason why constantly see requests for upgraded Su-27s, Mirages, and other aircraft is because we'd like to see something that can compete with the F-15C. DCS multiplayer is a wasteland of F-15C spam and the only thing that can mitigate is another Fox-3 fighter with a radar powerful enough for BVR engagements.

I know, you are both correct. I do not know how to reliably reproduce it so putting some evidence forward is difficult.

No, Zeus just confirmed that TWS still has a bug that causes you to drop targets shortly after you bug them, especially if you maneuver or roll. He said it's a bug that ED has to fix. Losing lock in STT happens to me frequently too, even when the target is above the horizon. So far as I know STT works as it should, but I find it suspicious. Same here.
-
To be charitable we have to conclude that Wags made an honest mistake when he said that. I remember that remark, and how uncritically some took it as true that smart scaling changes the RCS because he said so.

Just tested with the latest NTTR. The gunsight still doesn't show enough lead. If you put the sight right on the Mig-15 you shoot underneath.
-
Thank you. Your quick responses are much appreciated!
-
I'm losing lock against targets that are at a higher altitude and closer than 20nm. It seems to happen when I roll quickly or change heading quickly. Has this bug returned? This is with both 1.5.4 and 2.0.3.
-
More info: Got the wingmen to respond, think I didn't have aux radio mapped correctly. In 1.5.4 wingmen only respond if you call on v/uhf; in 2.0.3 they only respond if you select the auxiliary radio. Wouldn't it be best if they responded to either radio? AI flight leader silence is still there.
-
With the latest NTTR patch, my AI wingmen do not respond to any commands. I tried to contact them on both vhf and uhf. As a test I tried flying as a wingman to the AI. The flight leader maintains radio silence. I can hear AWACS and other radio communications without problems. No trouble with radio comms in 1.5.4 and the earlier NTTR. Someone else can confirm?
-
When you do a quick start mission with the latest 2.0.3 patch, the RWR is in the marche position by default, but nothing shows up. If you turn the RWR off and on again, it works fine.
-
Got it to turn on, but it took 15+ minutes of warm up time. Isn't it about 5 minutes in 1.5.4?
-
Anyone else seen this? The radar fails to warm up and turn on in NTTR. Do I need to resave the mission?

What are the differences between the 3 ww2 planes?
gavagai replied to Spacehamster's topic in DCS 2.9
The 190 is the best of the three. It has a truckload of 20mm ammo. It's fast, climbs well, rolls like a top, and has excellent control authority at all airspeeds. -
When I select 2 only 1 drops. No matter what ripple I select only 1 drops. Thanks for reporting.
