Throttle does not move in cold start Does not even respond to key commands. Both a visual and a simulation control bug. http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2155799&postcount=8

Maybe so but that is still a bug.

Snap Ron! that's precisely the profile I have come up with. Doesn't guarantee I won't screw it up when I'm actually going down the runway but it gets me down. Actually in the instant action landing I drop the takeoff flap at about 450 to slow it down earlier (I haven't found the max speed for takeoff flaps yet) and hold altitude while it slows to 300 for gear/flaps. On landing I bring the stick back around 130kph with no tendency to lift off again. I find 220kph approach, recommended by some, gets the nose too squirly.

The Goal was a RRG KS project to produce WWII aircraft to ride on the back of a free ED core product and to produce a new map. The KS part failed and the backers lost their money.... until ED stepped up and picked up the pieces. The risks were declared at the KS launch: "The general risks are always the same: trying to do too much with not enough money and not enough time." You don't say how much you put in to KS but ED do seem to be trying to meet the rewards as best they can for a dead KS project.

I got fed up reading at page 12, can YO-YO give a roundup of what he is designing (mark/wing/engine/armament)?

Thanks for the suggestion, I have opened a Ticket.

Much as I respect you SiThSpAwN, surely it can't be that difficult for ED to make a simple adjustment? I could send them the key so they can block it or they could just take the word of a mature existing customer that I won't use it. It's of no use to me so I only get 4 planes for my $100+. The annoying thing is it will cost ED nothing to put this right. The reward of the Alpha FW190 seems to have disappeared to!

Not sure if this is the best place to post or even if it will be seen by anyone relevant but I am not entirely happy with the backer reward revisions. I'm a bit late to the party because I have been away for weeks and still will be until month end, meantime Spithsawn has closed the main thread. My objection really boils down to one fine point. At over $100 I was entitled to all aircraft and although I received the P51D key I told Ilya I didn't need it as I had already bought it from ED. I was told I could swap it for some other reward but I am more than happy to let that go. I didn't really care what happens to the key which I haven't and won't use. Now I am only to be allowed five aircraft but ED have decided that my earl-issue, unused, P51D key will be counted as one of these even though I didn't want it. In effect I have been denied one of the other aircraft because I have been given a key I didn't want and was told I could change for some other reward. I don't care about 'some other reward', I just want to be given the five aircraft excluding the P51D which I have already bought which would in effect give me all aircraft including the one I have bought.

S'ok, I found them in the P51-D mainpanel_init.lua
-
I am using Export.lua to iterate through the P51-D main_panel items to export to a 'black box' csv file. I got that working easily enough but I can't find a reference list of what the items/values are, for example item 10 could be throttle position or manifold pressure from test movements I made but has decimal values less than 1. Similarly 101 could be RPM. o.O I was told I could see instrument references in the modelviewer but I don't see them even after going through the folders. Is there a known listing of these anywhere?

Still no joy, I can't see any references to instrument numbers in the modelviewer. I can iterate out the panel items with a for-loop but of course I don't know what the values refer to. -

I did: ftp://ftp1.files.eagle.ru/mods/model_viewer/ edModelViewer-85950.exe :( -

Thanks, unfortunately I can only see the 3D cockpit of Cockpit_P-51D.edm with a list of textures and in the View/Dialogs/Folder Browser many other items but no instrument specific details. I opened all the folders and tried all the View and Tools options but no joy. Am I looking in the wrong place? -
I have similar problems, I d/l the latest version and it says FMbase.dll is missing. I understand that I may need an earlier version and I am running Windows 7, so: 1. What is the version I should use. and/or 2. Where do I find the modelviewer "bundled with DCSW"? I have searched the main install folders and the saved Games folders without success. Thanks,

Hi Crash_Horror, I experimented more with Export and found some answers but I am still a little stuck and wonder if you can help. There seems to be an impression, from posts here, that Export.lua doesn't work with all DCS aircraft. I am trying to create a 'Black Box' to export a range of data for the P51-D (I have done it in another sim using C# and a/c parameters). Would you know if that is even possible for the P51-D? I tried a stripped down Export.lua, removing all the rem'd statements (which I see now includes many examples), initially with no success so I stripped it down to simply this and it worked, proving the basic function is working ok: Unfortunately when I try this it doesn't One problem may be that the examples don't include single engine aircraft so I don't know for sure how to refer to, say, Engine RPM. I can't seem to find a comprehensive range of export parameters, even in the Help files. Any ideas please? -
Careful, I don't believe that is the case. Luthier's up to his ears atm.

:juggle: :cheer3nc: . . . . . . . :drink:

Yes, I received my key by email.
-
Hi Dooyar :) Yes, I've got the 6 flyables too with 4 rewards, FW190 beta and Alpha access. I'm suffering memory failure - did we meet online?
-
Kickstarter uopdate #11: Please note that the FW.190 and P-51 aircraft here are the same planes as the available digital extras. The only difference is access date. The aircraft listed in Total Flyables will be available with the main release of DCS WWII, or with the alpha or beta versions if you opt in for the testing program. Selecting these aircraft in the DCS World application simply allows you to fly their release versions before DCS WWII: Europe 1944 comes out.
-
You may want to hear from Luthier but the concept was always "you don't have to buy the same a/c twice". I already own the P51D from DCSW and I was told I can fly that in DCS:WWII. There are not two versions of any aircraft, they are the same. When the FW190 comes out I should be able to fly it in DCSW as well as the alpha WWII. I am in the curious position of already owning the P51D, have also been given it as a Flyable (I have already received the key but I don't need it) and was told I could swap it for some other goody. I'd like the Spitfire manual instead but I don't mind if swapping is too much of a headache so if that's not possible I'll give the P51D key to a friend.

Backer Rewards Section is Finally Here

Hmmmm..... Sounds like they changed your Kickstarter email to your DCS email but overlooked changing your '1944 forum' email address which, presumably, they would have set up initiallly to be the same as your Kickstarter email. Might be worth emailing them with that idea. -

The 'anchor' seems to be your digitalcombatsimulator.com email address: If you already have a digitalcombatsimulator.com account linked to a different email address, unfortunately we do not have an automated way to deal with that. Please email dcswwii@eagle.ru from the email address currently on your DCS profile (not the kickstarter backer email address) and let us know which email address you used to back the project. We’ll be changing the backer email address to your DCS account email address (not the other way around). But you may only have had a forum account and not a digitalcombatsimulator.com account: If you already have a forums.eagle.ru account, but it uses a different email address than the one you used to back the project, unfortunately we do not have an automated way to deal with that. Please email dcswwii@eagle.ru from the email address currently on your forum profile (not the kickstarter backer email address) and let us know which email address you used to back the project. We’ll be changing the backer email address to your forum account email address (not the other way around). However, you may have had both a DCS and a Forum account (different websites) with different email addresses and that is different again: Now, if you are using one email for the digitalcombatsimulator.com account and a different email for forums.eagle.ru, then unfortunately we won’t be able to link them. You’ll have to create a new account with a matching email address in one place or the other. I read the last one as "anchor yourself to the digitalcombatsimulator.com email address (where you buy stuff) and change the other two: make a new forum account with email matching digitalcombatsimulator.com and email them to change your Kickstarter email to match your digitalcombatsimulator.com." Shame they can't align the existing profiles. Must be something to do with the login names/procedure. I think the 3-way aspect may be confusing some people. Still waiting for my Kickstarter to be changed but I imagine they are very busy with that. -

I'm interested in using this and on a wider scale for the P51D. I have two issues at the moment. I can't seem to get that Engine data to export, possibly because the Export.lua says: "-- Please, set EnableExportScript = true in the Config/Export/Config.lua file -- to activate this script!! I can't find that file and wonder if it is a leftover from FC. Is this necessary in DCSW? I would like to export a lot more flight data as a kind of Black Box. Can anyone point me to the full range of parameters that can be exported? Many thanks,
