You just get use to Trackir, I played for hundreds of hours in VR mainly Il2, but DCS as well, got an ultrawide and went back to Trackir haven't looked back, have a cv1 rift and a samsung odyssey plus just collecting dust now. The performance and visual clarity just aren't good enough.

That would be because your overclock is unstable or you made some type of mistake in the bios. Either with a power limit or some other type of limiting option. Overclocking is not easy to do right.

You understand that the new ryzen chips actually have better IPC than the latest intel chips right? So a Ryzen 3900x at say 4.6ghz is basically equivalent to a 9900k at 5ghz. Clock speed doesn't mean anything as long as the IPC is there to give you better single core speed. You could have a chip that runs at 3.5 ghz but with a massive IPC lead over current chips and it would be better than something running at 5ghz with less IPC. Long story short, clock speed doesn't mean anything. Single core scores, and IPC do. How you get there doesn't matter. The only hope we have for the future of VR right now is either massive changes to the engines that run these games, or new CPU's with massive IPC increases. We need new and better architectures, the current ones are tapped out and chips aren't going to get any faster in the mhz department.

If the AH-1 is really coming to DCS I might just be happier than a pig in shit.

This is why I am glad I learned to fly WW2 birds in simulators before anything else. Makes flying everything really easy. Jumping in an F-18 is a revelation. I barely have to fly the thing and can just focus on the systems, I am really itching to get my hands on the F-14.

I'd also be down for a cobra of any kind.

Any other proper simulation of the 190 has this "bar" correctly shown. It is a big deal. If it wasn't ED wouldn't of wasted their time fixing it on both the dora and the A. ;)

If they start releasing FC3 level ww2 aircraft I won't even bother. The only reason to play DCS ww2 right now is for the systems, limited as they may be. If I want to play ww2 combat you already know where I am headed. :pilotfly:

The online portion of WW2 DCS is pretty barren with one single symmetrical mission taking place 24/7. It's basically horrible. If you are getting into DCS for massive online air combat in old aircraft you are going to be incredibly disappointed.

You can do that right now... Just have to get a different game.

lol, literally any headset that's came out after the rift is going to be more clear. It's like a 15% res bump over the CV1. The lack of ipd adjustment is more than enough to keep me from dropping 400 dollars on it. That and the lack of a pair of headphones.

I would assume this is it.

If you are having those issues you should look into refining your curves, shouldn't be difficult to move the camera around at all. Use the edges of your screen as a stop movement guide, if you can't see fully vertical when looking at the top of the screen your curves are too small.

This is an issue with Prop planes and ASW, either need to be at a constant 90 fps or have ASW turned off.
