  1. Yep, that was the first thing I noticed. I believe I just ended up using the Group Activate and Visible Before Start which suited my needs but you might try using Once and Time more Than 2 if the lag spike won't be acceptable for you.
  2. Yep. I was sure excited about that when I saw it advertised in the headline before I purchased the Huey, which now that 1.2.7 is out is apparently finished. Way to follow through on that one, guys. *Disappointed*
  3. Pretty hilarious design, but I like where they're going with this, ;-) Sort of a Spruce Goose meets B-29 train of thought. http://www.aviationweek.com/Blogs.aspx?plckController=Blog&plckScript=blogScript&plckElementId=blogDest&plckBlogPage=BlogViewPost&plckPostId=Blog%3a7a78f54e-b3dd-4fa6-ae6e-dff2ffd7bdbbPost%3aa0b9d985-c384-467b-94b7-a3a192799af8
  4. Bummer. I just checked the few I made and most everything seems to have survived. All have been re-saved in full 1.2.7, but for some reason, the group STOP command no longer works. I have been away for a couple months so perhaps it's unrelated but I was wondering why that, of all things would give out.
  5. Just updated to 1.2.7 version number. Had no probs, but I hadn't installed the most recent 1.2.6 patch and never installed the 1.2.7 beta if that helps.
  6. Ya I am dowoading a 1.2.7 update too. That can't actually be the 1.2.7 final, right? Must just be a beta update or something, even though I never downloaded that. Hmmm ...
  7. I didn't even know this was possible. Best of luck! I'm surprised there haven't been more attempts at custom maps, considering it's one of the most limiting aspects of DCS World for people who played a lot of FSX. Sidebar: How far east are you planning to venture? Coeur d'Alene Lake could be a lot of fun (was born in CDA).
  8. Mine too. Love the Pacific theatre history. Plus I grew up about five miles from Pappy Boyington's hometown so there's a lot of respect for him, that theatre and that plane there. His book is insane too, btw.
  9. Ya, me too. I somewhat bought the Huey with the expectation that the shared cockpit part would make its appearance in one of the earlier updates. But then we got the Mi-8 and I drank a beer. Beginning to think it may never come now but I'm for it! F-15E shared would be awesome.
  10. ... and here. Ugh. Must be down.
  11. Oh that's smart. I hadn't considered that - radio menu options specifically for CA. I was fumbling around with the set path options in the map view. I'll have to try that. Thanks.
  12. Excellent! Thanks Ranger. I'm going to get to work on this right away. It is exactly what I was looking for. Step 1: Learn LUA so you can understand that link, ;-)
  13. Thanks Cibit. I came across that one myself. That mod really should be made standard. I was hoping to find a way to make a mission for people without requiring a mod, for now at least. I'm also intrigued at the idea of scripting this because for this particular mission, the pointer would be more of a "we know what the enemy is and generally where, but want to know where it is at this second" rather than the standard "what do you have for us" type. I just really need to learn LUA, ha ha.
  14. Ranger, I am just barely walking into the world of LUA and the MIST functions but are you saying there is a way to essentially "script" a laser or IR pointer on and off? I only ask because it's an issue I've been trying to make work for a long time within ME and triggers but haven't been able to. I want to use the Huey to fly over an area at night and while using NVG's, spot an "FAC" targeting a group of enemy infantry with an IR pointer. The Huey doesn't have functionality to communicate with an actual JTAC so I was going to force the issue. This is actually preferred anyway but I couldn't find a way to make the IR pointer turn on and off. Do you think this is possible?
  15. Hmmm ... if I'm understanding the question correctly, I don't think there is a way. AFAIK, there is still no way to command an aircraft to land via the CA module and that is the only way I can think one could rearm.
  16. Mine too! Really hoping to see an accurate time-to-climb.
  17. Totally agree. I hate bugs and waiting for patches and fixes. I'd rather just keep the AFM on my list of stuff I'm waiting to see for the first time than add it to my list of stuff I hope gets fixed before I throw my computer at the wall in frustration, ;-)
  18. Is this for coalition or group or both? If it's just coalition, you could assign it only to all the other groups.
  19. If Flag 2 fires 10 seconds before Flag 1? I always understood the condition to be "equals to," but now I'm a little curious myself.
  20. Sorry for the delayed report but it seems to work just fine. By the way, I get what y'all mean by the joystick ID now. I was really just interested in the keyboard assignments anyway so I just took those from each aircraft and transfered them over. Worked like a charm. Thanks all!
  21. Ahhhh ... reading this thread is pure torture. Must. Be. Patient. But. Want. It. Now! I would bet on Dec/Jan too but if it means having an initial release with fewer bugs, I'd take it.
  22. That is awesome. Thanks for the reply. This is exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to start using it. It all makes so much more sense now.
  23. So do you know how it is supposed to work at least then? Is it just adding a supplier to a base or farp or ship or something then having those supplies available when the first warehouse runs out?
  24. Are you serious? What makes you say that? For some reason I thought we were still a long way from the AFM. I'd hate to become cautiously optimistic for nothing, ;)
  25. Was just consisering possibility of spawning them midmission abd I know spawning statics is something of an in-depth issue I'd rather avoid for the time being. I'll give it a shot I guess and if it doesn't work. Oh well for now.
