  1. Hi drPhibes Did as you described and it downloaded, thanks for your advice, much appreciated.
  2. Hi Rudel Just a quick note, first your CE Eagle is pretty damn good, loads of default skins, I was well pleased to see this post about an official template, only one problem when I click on the links in your post I get a new window full of what looks like gibberish, not the expected template, hope you can help, keep up the good work.
  3. Hi Prof After going through your post and noting refs to NATOPS I can confirm pressing the FCS reset button at the wrong stage really cocks the system up, don't know its a bug or not, but doesn't seem to be a way of clearing it besides mission restart, even aircraft repair doesn't work, hopefully someone with more knowledge will see your post and be able to help, sorry I couldn't help.
  4. Hi Prof Back on again, quick question are your generators switched on.
  5. Hi Prof. Just came across your post, so thought I would give it a try to see what issues you are getting. Sure enough following what you've done you get fault reporting, so I continued further, started Left engine now got pressures on both hydraulic systems, the next thing I did was press and hold the FCS bit switch on the right side of the cockpit and whilst still holding pressed, the FCS reset button then release them both, this should start what I call the "Funky Chicken" on the flight controls, look outside and watch all your flight controls, this is cycling them all when its finished, all being well faults should clear, start-up routine can continue, I usually just hit the auto start so cant remember whats next on the checklist, hope this helps.
  6. To Everyone involved in making the A-4 Community Mod. Congratulations on such a good looking mod, this will make a welcome addition to the test fleet, already test flying and its looking pretty damn good, a welcome addition is the clickable cockpit, some form of flight manual would be helpful when time permits. Again well done!!
  7. Hi Woxof I've come straight to point 18 of this post and saw your startup problems, here's what I've done so far. Connect exterior power, huffer cart appear on outside, look on the left of the dash to the start switch, press and hold for a few seconds till engine starts cranking when gets to about 15-20% right click throttle once should move out of cut-off, then right click again throttle moves again, hopefully starting.
  8. Hi all playing around with the start-up on A-10C usually lazy and use auto-start thats how I noticed the issue for me. But since it worked again thought would try manual start as mr.artur96 did and I ran into starting issues for the 2nd engine. Went through the procedure I just did and sussed I hadn't put the fuel pumps on, restarted mission and tried again, success. Hope my mistakes help!!
  9. Hi All First of all a sorry to mr.arthur96 I tried to reply to PM on this subject but i think i was unsuccessful, glad I managed to find this post again. Next following the last Beta update my A-10C auto-start is now working as should, so at least some good news. For those who it doesn't work for. going by my encounters, Something to check first , in the mission Cold Start before selecting auto-start (or even doing a manual start), make sure the throttles are in the cut-off position if possible and watch carefully as you select auto-start, prior to the latest update as you watch, as soon as you hit auto-start both throttles would move away from the cut-off (This is what stops the auto-start continuing correctly), if you quickly move them back to cut-off position the auto-start will continue, this was a quick work round till the issue was supposed to be fixed. Also don't forget to go into the options section, go to the MISC tab and uncheck the Syncronize cockpit controls with HOTAS controls at mission start option as I have found this can cause confusion if swapping between several aircraft, especially if their setup is different. After the update the throttles don't move away from the cut-off position on their own till they are supposed to and auto-start should continue as normal, if not something else to look at is a corrupted control file, which i have found is usually fixed by letting the sim rebuild the default folder for the affected aircraft, in this case the A-10C bit of a pain if several modules involved. Hope this makes sense and is of help to some of you. As always Happy Bug Hunting!!
  10. Hi All. Glad I'm not the only one with issues on the A-10C Auto-start. Just to add what I've encountered so far. I mainly use the Beta version as I try to help out in the bug finding and have only encountered the auto-start issue on the Beta version after today's update, before that it was working ok. After most updates I work through all the aircraft I have to see whats changed/not and whats broken/not. I also have the stable version which is currently running previous version of the sim and the C autostarts ok throttles stay at cutoff till reqd by the startup where as the Beta version both throttles are moved to idle as soon as autostart is activated, further info on this issue would be appreciated. Happy bug hunting.
  11. Hi All Just noticed a possible bug with the Normandy Map, Whilst building a mission using the Normandy Map to test aircraft in this Map, I get the following message fairly regular "Terrain Normandy is required for the next mission". This occurs as the test mission is launching. Only noticed since the latest update in Beta. Will test the stable version and report back my findings, any one else having the same problem please let me know.:helpsmilie: Happy Bug hunting!!!
  12. Hi All Anybody else having issues with chock usage during Ramp work, when trying to use chocks crew chief responds with unable to comply. I checked on the stable version and can still use them no problem, also have repaired Beta install and the fault still appears present. I will continue to test and will let you know of any developments I find.
  13. Hi All I have noticed since V2.5.1 update the engine on the viggen is not running on certain missions, ie hot start and runway start missions, though luckily is running in airbourne start missions, these are user missions I have set up for testing. I will check quickstart etc and report back. sorry if already reported. Happy Bug hunting everyone.:)
  14. Hi All For everyone awaiting the downfall of FB with expectant glee. Just a thought, what other pies do they have their fingers in. I point your attention to our VR users using Occulus Software, even though maybe directly unrelated, following a recent update on my phone software and its compatible VR unit that uses Occulus software, the said software and VR now appears to be owned by FB. Just a thought!
  15. Hi All Unfortunately I can confirm this fault occurs as described, Spitfire now totally unusable. Will try suggestions and keep you posted.
  16. Hi All Back again sorry my fault, please disregard previous posts, I was using an add on cockpit that appears to not be working correctly in the new version, went back to default English cockpit and apart from auto pilot switch states not being very clear, what limited testing done so far seems to be working, so will keep you posted.
  17. Hi All Apologies for my haste in submitting my last post, The issue I was referring to was regarding auto hover, I haven't tested the full autopilot system as yet usually manual flying, they may be related as a few other things didn't seem to work with DS enabled, I'm still investigating the Shark in v2.5 along with all the others. Will keep you posted. Happy Bug Hunting!!
  18. Hi Shein This issue has been around for a while from 2.2.0 and seems to related to deferred shading, Ive had these issues Try Deferred shading off with the standard cockpits, If you want it on try Ricardo's cockpits for the Shark they seem to work quite well, I'm in the middle of checking this issue in v2.5.0 as I write this and have noticed some other issues as well. Hope this helps guys.
  19. Hi All Regarding the Su-25 engines appear swapped, from what Ive have noticed its the animations for the core and not the actual engines, if you start eng 1 left all starts ok and left engine runs and smokes when throttles up but right No2 engine core is rotating left No1 is still stationary, this bug is not new and has been around for quite a while, but i suspect from apparent inaction is a low priority bug. Happy Bug hunting!!
  20. Hi All As temp measure try opening the png files with paint and then save them as a jpeg file. Bit of work but may be worth it.
  21. Hi All. Sorry if someone's already asked for it, anyone else think a flyable version of the English Electric Lightening would be good to see in DCS. Watching vids of them taking off and then going vertical at Mach 1. Flight systems appear relatively simple compared to say an F-15. A genuine MACH 2 capable aircraft with hopefully no Security issues.
  22. Hi All Speaking of wheel chocks I think would be a great addition to have the option of wheel chocks available on all aircraft, as mentioned would allow for full power run ups whilst checking systems etc.
  23. Hi All. I apologize if this has already been reported elsewhere, I noticed whilst flying the Harrier if you attempt to use the LSO Left ALT + F9 I believe view on the LHA Tarawa it immediately causes a CTD, on the other carriers there is no such problem but I have noticed that the view for the LSO is now more like the real thing. Related?? Keep up the good work and happy bug hunting
  24. Hi All Until Chuck completes one of his brilliant guides for the Harrier may i suggest what i managed to do as an interim solution, go to RAZBAMs site and click on the Downloads Tab there you will find a user manual for their Harrier GR7/9, this is for another flight simulator but covers most of the items on the DCS Harrier as the GR7/9 and AV8B are essentially the same aircraft. Hope this helps I am in the middle of checking My Harrier against this manual as I write this. Hopefully this combined with the already published pocket book should keep us going for a while.
  25. Hi All on the matter of the pylons under the viggen, the bluey grey digital camo effect appears to be the latest incarnation of the missing texture. 1st was a yellow colour then a green digi camo effect and now this bluey grey effect, I only sussed his by looking at the viggen in the encyclopedia where you can zoom right into the aircraft and read the tiny words missing texture. What this does show is we now seem to have a skin error, at least it seems to have stopped CTD hopefully
