Where can I find the serial number for products which I bought through Steam and rebound them to the standalone version?

Hello! I have bought a new computer and put the SSD from the old one in it. I have expected, that I will have to use an activation to be able to use DCSW on it. When DCSW asks for an activation I press Retry and send over the activation number (DCSW remembers it and I do not have to enter it manually) here is what I get: I can't start DCSW, though, thankfully, the number of activations I have does not seem to decrease. Please help me get back into the game :-)

I did what EagleEye suggested (although the newsletter box was checked) and it didn't help. For example - there is an Auitumn sale starting today (it says so on the DCS site), but I didn't get a newsletter.

Could it be, that the landing gear gets jammed at a certain speed?

My new Mig-21bis does not seem to respond to some keyboard commands. For example I cannot raise the gears with the G key. I remember, that previously the moderators suggested that the player deletes some config file and that solved the problem. However I cannot seem to remember what exactly should be deleted and where. Please help :) P.S. My other modules work just fine. P.P.S. Creating a new profile didn't help.

Current computer hardware limitations? Common video card memory sizes? Median RAM on an average computer? I'd say, as much as we all love DCSW, we, probably, still want it to run on a mainstream computer... or face very lonely flights ;-)

I even measured it - I had an average of 75,6 FPS while flying the Su-25T straight and level in the Free Flight mission, but upgrading to 1.5 boosted that to 166,6 - more than twice!!! The performance gain is mind-staggering! :thumbup:

Are You saying, that DSCW and it's modules do not have any registry entries? That would certainly be a solution... however that leaves me clueless as to why did the change in the installation process was needed in the first place. I imagine, that having a copy of the DCSW or it's modules, pirates could make a hack allowing to play offline games for free. Making a Web installer would, probably, make it much more difficult for them to obtain the required files (they still would only need to purchase one copy of each module to hack and distribute them). Well, I also find it disappointing. I have a slow Internet connection at home and, at some point in time, I actually had to pay money to go to an Internet Cafe to download the new files. And having to redownload everything everytime I reinstall Windows is frustrating to say the least. I like to keep my distributives at hand in case of Internet connection problems. However, if this thing is meant to cut someone's ability to pirate ED's software - I can live with that. If not - I would vote to get the standalone distributives back again - it is amazing what children, or a misinformed spouse can do to a Windows installation. Since the 1.2.5 version came out I tried to download the DCSW installer, however I can't seem to find the 5 files for the installation. It seems, there is only a Web based installer now... No offline installation anymore? Update. I can't figure out where to download the aircraft distributives at all.

The DCS News Letter about the DCS Holiday Sale states that "For those in the Eurasian Economic Community, the sale will start 30 December till until 02 January 2016." I don't want to be picky, however the Eurasian Economic Community has been canceled in 2014. Since 1st of January, 2015 there is a new international organization called the Eurasian Economic Union. The participating nations are somewhat different, - the Eurasian Economic Community had: 1. Byelarus 2. Kazakhstan 3. The Kyrgiz Republic (I might be misspelling this - sorry fellow Kyrgiz pilots!) 4. Russia 5. Tadzhikistan The Eurasian Economic Union, however, is comprised of: 1. Byelorus 2. Kazakhstan 3. The Kyrgiz Republic 4. Russia 5. Armenia This might be a source of confusement and misunderstanding. Personally, I think that the term "Former Soviet Union countries" would serve the purpose better - after all, these countries share the same problems and are, approximately, in the same economic situation which, I think, primarily led to the decision by the ED to make separate pricing for them in the first place. And separate sale dates too. From this point of view - the absence of such countries as Ukraine and Georgia from the list of eligible participants of the sale for other former USSR countries is a bit strange to me. (Unlike most of Europe which celebrates Christmas on the 24th of December, in the former Soviet Union the main holiday is the New Year's Day). I hope my post does not cause another political turmoil on the forum - it is just a suggestion to make the ED West-post Soviet countries division of the pricing policy and sales timing a bit more sensible. I really have no clue where to post this, so please move this to a proper thread if needed. And Happy Christmas and a happy New Year - we deserve it, no matter in which Union or Commission we live :-)
