I place s couple of SAM manpads on the airfield, however, when I get my chopper close to them, the F10 button only lists ATC and ground crew options. I am pretty sure that on some server I had an option to load/unload troops in the F10 menu - maybe I am doing the mission setup wrong?

Если кто не понял - он имеет в виду, что когда вы находитесь в кабине, ошибочно рендерится весь самолет, даже те его части, которые вам не видны. Из-за этого страдает фпс.

Why is that? I recall getting a small gain in FPS when I unchecked this.

Yes I did - using CTRL H - the default color is utterly invisible on a lot of backgrounds.

Please take a look at the picture below. The color of the HUD is distinctly not white, however it is not visible over white clouds... Is there something wrong with the simulation or this is the way it is IRL?

I believe ground controlled intercept was promised with the upcoming Mig-21 module. 3. Placing both launchers and radars in the same group worked for me.

Начитался всякого о пользе смазки джоев и, разобрав сабж, теперь не могу понять что делать вот этой вот пружиной: Пружина отвечает за возврат в исходное положение рукоятки при использовании твиста. По идее, она должна цепляться за какие-то элементы внутренней конструкции рукоятки, но какие? Кстати, смазаыть резюки у меня не получилось - диск который нужно смазывать находится внутри пластиковой коробочки и как туда попасть смазкой я не представляю.

Hello I have read, that greasing the resistors on a joystick will positively affect its longevity, so I have tried disassembling my Thrustmaster T Flight HOTAS. And, of course, now I am having problems putting it back together. The joystick handle has a spring, which puts the flip into its default position when no pressure is applied. And I have no clue where and how it should be attached to. Here is the sprig: And here are the parts of the handle, apparently the ends of the spring should go into one of these details inside: Can someone please help me - flying without rudder is no fun :-( P.S. I haven't managed to grease the resistors - the circular thingie witch should be greased is actually inside the box which holds the resistor and I see no way of getting grease there.

It is a good habit to check the computer for dust every now and then. When the heat sink on the CPU gets filled with dust it's effectiveness is drastically lowered. I know what I am talking about - I have cats :-). I also try to blow out the extra dust from the power supply - it generates a lot of heat and dust prevents it from being blown out. Another thing is - the back of the computer with the ventilation holes and the case fan should not be closer than 15 cm. to anything like the wall or a curtain - otherwise hot air will stay in the case causing temperature related problems. The cooler the case, within common sense, the longer the computer will last.

Just hold the fire button for second and the weapon will fire. This is not a bug - it is the way it works IRL :-)

I am pretty sure radar is not blocked by clouds, only IR. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to listen to radio or use mobile phones in a fog. It might affects it's effectiveness though, but to what extent I do not know.

If you like blowing stuff up stick with the Black Shark. If you want a more traditional helicopter experience - Huey is great for that. The Mi-8 is bigger than the UH-1H and provides a different flying experience due to the need to really think ahead. Better yet - get them all :-)

Once we get EDGE and all the pretty stuff going with it, having a slow civilian aircraft would be a welcome addition. Cessna 172 brings a lot of MSFS memories with it, but the An-2 is also an excellent choice - there are quite a few of them around, so it shouldn't be too difficult to model one.
