  1. Just one sensor in my Spitfire cockpit 3ft from my face. Works perfectly. I swing it round and it works with a second wall mounted sensor for other games requiring the touch controllers.
  2. Really enjoyed that! Many thanks for letting us ride along with you. He didn't really need to ask you to smile at the end eh? What a joyful expression!
  3. +1 for everything including Voice Attack. It's really easy to set up and has some powerful features.
  4. I use the BU0836X board too, totally plug and play, you don't even need any solder connectors. As well as the switch and pot inputs you can also connect rotary encoders and led indicators.
  5. +1 Sticking a camera into a HMD is not going to give a good comparison of the real experience. There will be moire interference patterns generated from the digital capture anyway.
  6. +1 Perfect 1:1 tracking is an absolute necessity for a full VR experience. Anything less and you are jolted out of the illusion.
  7. Would you give a link to where I can donate please...
  8. You need to set 'detect Rift headset' in the DCS VR tab. Also make sure in your Oculus settings you allow 'non Oculus' apps.
  9. Your eyes are at a fixed focus distance when using a VR headset, so the eye's focus muscles aren't changing. However the eye is using it's accommodation reflex to converge the eyes on objects at apparent different distances. This is the reason it is advised that very young children don't use VR headsets because their focus and convergence coordination is not fully developed.
  10. Jetseat received all in good order and really fast too! I've started setting up and I love it! That thump in the pants when I dropped the Spitty on the runway was delicious! Cheers Andre, great product. :)
  11. I tend to agree. I'm still on Windows 7, so I understand ASW won't activate for me anyway? I know I'm way below 90fps, particularly in Normandy, but apart from the occasional little stutter I find the experience smooth and comfortable. I try to not switch on the FPS meter but just enjoy the flying:thumbup:
  12. I haven't tried any others apart from the eu ones, but they give me a perfectly sharp image with no reduction in FOV and no distortion. They simply just snap onto the Rift lens bodies, easy to fit and remove.
  13. +1 I've had a set for a couple of months now, they are brilliant!
  14. JetSeat KW-908 AM ordered...excited already :) Cheers David
  15. Andre, thanks for quick reply. So I can fly DCS world using SimShaker software, and my FFB stick will still work ok? Many thanks Dave
  16. I use a Microsoft FFB2 joystick. I guess the Jetseat is a FFB device? Will it work ok along with my stick? Many thanks Dave
  17. 70 Megapixel display.....consumer roll out 2018.. Checks to see if it's April 1st :music_whistling:
  18. You need to swap aileron and pitch in FFB trim settings.
  19. I thought Video Card settings were ignored by VR Headset?
  20. Had an hour or two flying around. It looks fabulous in VR, the lighting is gorgeous. I would say performance wise it was similar to flying low over Vegas for me..a smooth 45 fps on medium settings. Had to turn the shadows down a bit for this. Still tweaking tho'.
  21. Also make sure in your Oculus settings screen that you allow non Oculus library games.
  22. Ok,, installation went smoothly with no hitches. Installed my Spitfire and set the main controls. I'm VR only at the moment so this is my Rift experience. Set graphics to the default VR settings + 1.4 PD and went for a free flight. After dodging the lurking bomber I trimmed out and checked the view. What a lot of trees! The evening sun cast long shadows and there was mist in the valleys. Very atmospheric. I checked frame rates and was getting between 30 and 45. Didn't seem choppy in the headset tho'. Looks promising from my brief first look.
  23. Downloading now...looks like about 8 Gig.....
