Execution is NOT a justice. Maybe in somebody's sick "wild west" mentally ill head. He should have been brough to court, not executed, not jailed in Guantanamo or anything alike. This is only glorification about putting a bullet into somebody head. Second to what Osama did is only the drunken celebration on the WTC monument. Yours and other similar comments are most disturbing from human point of view. Criminal has to be brought before the court, regardless of the price. Everything else turns his crimes into one-sided accusations and hearsay, thus adding more fuel to Osamas supporters. I was shocked by what happened on 9/11, but it was my hope that USA - supposedly only bright light in legality and democracy - will stick to their constitutional roots. Instead, they turned the World into a Tombstone. Much discussion in this topic has nothing to do with "military" or "aviation". Especially since there is no discussion about news (and video!) of US soldiers killing that couple on a motorcycle, and later posing any enjoying themselves "about the kill", what you can find on Rolling Stone website. I call upon moderator to close this sick topic.

Scrach Book of Lipetsk Су-25Т - Су-25УБМ
Renato71 replied to Yuya6104's topic in Military and Aviation
But, where are they? I haven't seen fresh photo - especially several of them in one shot - since.... Ehm, since FC1 come out? And where is the one from Ethiopian AF? Still no pics?!? This aircraft comes to be bigger secret then J-20 :music_whistling: -
Scrach Book of Lipetsk Су-25Т - Су-25УБМ
Renato71 replied to Yuya6104's topic in Military and Aviation
More like "added", then "removed". That is Su-25UB upgraded to Su-25UBM. Bort number "21" may be the same as the one from Su-39, but it has nothing to do with Su-25T/TM/39 line. The diff is not only in the second seat, but the complete nose and tail section. -

Excuse my ignorance, but I'm not up to date with DCS-WH. However, I have to inform my buddies about latest developments, and I would like to ask for a clear (clear to me, hehe) confirmation: This security issue related to the latest patch, correct? And the latest one is 1.1.0.6? Thanks in advance.

Two Croatian Fishbeds collide in Mid-Air
Renato71 replied to Vekkinho's topic in Military and Aviation
I beleive the peace time standby is 6, not 60 minutes. Maybe just a typo. Anyway, a report was issued by Military Accident Commision.Click here for some pics (text is in Croatian), and an official video. At 8:55 into the video you can hear someone yelling over the radio "Iskači! Iskači" (Eject! Eject!) Here is the most interesting part: (unofficial translation) "(...) Commission report determined that accident and crash of two military aircraft MiG-21 was a result of collision, where one aircraft with its upper left part of intake struck into another aircraft at the point of left underwing pylons. Collision happened while performing a combat turn, at the moment when aircraft 120 caught up with aircraft 108, due to its higher airspeed of the previous, which was caused by higher engine setting and maneuver execution during post attack egress. As a result of forces induced during a collision, canopy separated from aircraft 108, and on aircraft 120 a launcher UB-16-57 and bomb VAB-250 were torn off from underneath its left wing, while from underneath right wing a separation occurred of VAB-250 and uncontrolled launch of seven BR-2-57 rockets. Contributing condition to the accident was cloud base, that did not comply with determined meteorological minimums, thus making harder to spot ground targets during the approach and had an influence on deviation from norms on combat maneuvers. Furthermore, lack of pilot training due to low number of flying hours and exercises that had to be done prior to live ordnance training with air-to-ground rockets and bombs, flight preparation, and main training organization, did not secure all conditions for unimpeded task performance. As a direct accident causes, incorrect judgment of weather conditions over exercise ground (base cloud and visibility) by ground controller and flight leader pilot, and non-practice of elaborated flight elements during attack ingress and egress by flight leader and his wingman were named. (...)" UB-16-57 - launcher with 16x unguided 57 mm rockets VAB-250 - practice bomb -
Thanks for clarification. I've missed your previous info, but suspected something along that line. Just that we are discussing that mode over at my forum, and we are keen to see it working :) I've sent few messages to Beczl, but he has not replied for a long time. I hope he is OK :)

So, I've found that there is this MiG-21 flyable for FC2, but only with one Hungarian skina, and without weapons: http://www.lockonfiles.com/index.php/files/file/1722-fc2-mig-21-hungarian-flyable/ Did I miss any announcement here, and what is the state of the progress? Any chance to see a working cockpit for this Miggy in a final release?

Most cost effective rudders
Renato71 replied to Lonecrow66's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Most cost effective rudders? The home build versions. -
Yes, please, I've been waiting for those scripts for so long :( I do not know person around there that is not annoyed by my pleading about that ....

I am now :D Missiles, ferry ranges... ? AIM this, AIM that... Well, mount them on B767 and lets be done with that. I'm into aircraft simulations, not aircraft managing. This fancy-shamncy stuff turned pilots into "Cockpit CEO's". As exciting as SimCity.

Jeez, what was the topic again?
-
Well, this guys that started the topic, he got bored. So what? What are you all trying to sell him? As far as I can see, he is not bored by the helicopter. Environment is the at the core of his problem. Really? did not know that... Then, ED should sell the core, I'll buy for that alone :D Maybe like I understood few years back when DCS was announced, youknow, modules for DCS, instead of modules with different DCS versions. Fixing that will disable a topic like this.

Next DCS (US) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Renato71 replied to diecastbg's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Well, I do have an opinion, but I my as well cut the long story short, and sum it up, including all the possible replies that may - or more possibly may not - cover the subject into following: Fantasy, shmantasy. -
FSX was a success BECAUSE of the myriad of 3rd party companies making a business just out of add ons. If there were only stock planes, I would never bought any title since the FS95.

MSFS is primary simulator in Croatian Air Force, using adapted SOKO/LAGO MiG-21bis (in fact, the one that you can buy is developed from CroAF simulator) (at least, thats what a person that used to work on simulator explained to me). If you add TacPack to MSFS, I can forget about selling LO/FC/DCS to CroAF. They are not interested in DCS, no matter what I say. They do not care about A-10C. Or any other aircraft in FC/DCS series. If it is easier to add explosion to MSFS then new aircraft to DCS, thats the way they will go.
-
I wish there is more we could do, but it is hard to raise interest when our Air Force does NOT have Ka-50 or A-10C, and there is no change in hell they will get any of those. We need something that will bring more attention. Air Force is interested into what they have or can get. Currently we are loosing ground in comparison to MSFS. This sim has great potentials, but everybody is avoiding those potentials like they are diseased :(

Thanks for Vekkinho for posting this. Few corrections thou... Sadly, those were not "open days" (meaning, open for public), but "invitation only", mainly for schools, and civilian and military dignitaries. Also, because of organizational schedule of CroAF, we were not visited by real MiG pilots, but few from helicopter (Mi-8/17) and training (PC-9) came along and showed high interest into out work. Many more come, all were very interested in both the sim and our hardware. There was 6 of us, 5 brought their PC's, 1 came directly from night shift and had no PC but helped later on. We made one big banner and few smaller posters. We presented MiG-21 mod for FC112 by Becszl, doing some a2a, and coop mission for FC2. They were very interested into Tacview. Sadly, I was not able to make it run in live stream (that why I asked about that in antoher topic, but no go). Some kids (12-14yo) tried themselves out. Accommodation was excellent, PR people form CroAF were amazing. Few pics from our participation.... I was too busy to take more pics, only few during preparations and few later on.

6 for price of one... Great deal indeed :)

Man, you are not as friendly as you used to be. What happened? You got married? :smilewink: On topic... I would like to ask for following: Instructor support - I loose to many potential fliers cos it is not possible to properly explain all important points over Internet. You quite often need to actually point at something and to demonstrate from "inside". Fixed lightning (anti-collision light reflecting in shadow places). Dedicated server. Better cheat protections cos this "checking" really sucks. Decent server browser (sorting, sitrep, being able to tell how many are at each side...) Interactive trees. Raindrops, so that wipers have some function to them. Many thingies for cockpit builders (view without cockpit panel, HUD data export...) Thanks for your time.

What a shift from "FC2 is many steps behind DCS" to "technology and its products moving forward!" At the moment when FC2 was published, and was bloody happy and I thought it is a start of something new and better. Cos ED said that DCS will be moddable, and by introducing FC1 aircraft into DCS environment, hopes were high that new aircraft will be developed "in a jiffy". But know, I do consider it as a waste of resources cos it is very probable that it was not developed overnight by some programmer that was bored of porn sites. Nor I do believe there is secret tool or plugin named "FC1 to FC2 converter". Also, there was some effort put into making DCSBS online compatible with FC2. That also did not happen by simply turning on yet another option on the same menu. I would prefer if that time was spent on developing something that CAN be modeled properly cos there ARE available documents about it. Instead of having "6 crappy models that will be scrapped" we could have 6 simple aircraft - at DCS level - that will last for considerable time. I do believe that it is far easier to model all aspects of MiG-21 or F-5 then to model something with so complex systems like A-10C or AH-64D. And that it will be more attractive to fly an aircraft that is/was active in Air Forces around the world, instead of making fictious and what-if skins. Its like Americas Army in the air - you are always Yankee, and the other guys is always OpFor. On top of all, if there is no FC2, that could most probably mean that DCSWH could be finished long time ago. Then again, I may be wrong. Whatever it is, I would really like to know in which direction is this series heading. I hate to invest time and money into something that will be scrapped too soon, or not developed at all.
-
So, FC2 comes to be just another waste of developers resources... Whole series branched into one dead branch and one bonsai branch :(
-
Cute. If Ka-50 will become online compatible with A-10C, and there is announcement that FC2 will NOT be online compatible with A-10C, that means that once Ka-50 is updated (for online compatibility with A-10C) it will automatically become incompatible with FC2.

it's not about liberating, its about policing. one ego trip vs another one. one is killing people, and the other one is consuming their identity.
