  1. Yo, Boberro, could you be so kind to share your su-25T payload? thnx in advance :)
  2. purchase but do NOT try to install FC2 cos installer will then ask for FC1 as well. Something messed up in installer. Wait for LOMAC, install it first, then - and only then - install FC2. Good luck and have patience :)
  3. Try this, its the same as used in my cockpit knee charts, a bit unfinished... jpeg pic, and zipped tga (better quality) FC2_map01.rar
  4. Hi, Yes, it will do, but you can find even cheaper packages on ebay, less then 5 USD, just search for "lock on" under video games, or "lock on modern air combat"
  5. What graphic parameters are exported? I have a bit of a low end PC/VGA, had to tweak it a bit to be able to play online
  6. Thanks! BTW, whats with the numbering 1.2.1 ? Kinda confusing, better to be 2.0.1 or alike, no?
  7. I'm glad you all like it :) I hope to release Russian (Cyrillic) version soon, as xplight suggested in PM. I would like to add a thing or two, like RWY main directions (if they are going to be visible enough), and fix the "pocket" borders/shadows. Currently I cannot make modman package cos I have some issues with PC and modman, and no time to fix it. But, as I hope to finish this maps soonish, I'll try to "modmanize" it :)
  8. I've managed with FC1, but haven't tried with FC2. Did anyone created it with DCS? It should be the same type of export.
  9. I've created a knee maps for cockpit. Please see here: MOD: Cockpit knee maps
  10. Hi all, Here is my initial version of renowned cockpit maps on pilot knees. Its not finished yet, and currently US version is basically the same as Russian, just renamed. For testing purposes, I plan to add few more items soon. Features: - Basic layout of the FC2 area - Airport numbers as programmed in autopilot - Runway directions, where first number is primary direction - List of airports in numerical order - Basic info on course and distance for Mineralniye Vody and Nalchik, in blue, distance in km, value in the middle Files: - PILOT-RUS-G01.tga - PILOT-USA-G01.tga (same as above, do not use if you do not need it) Installation: - Not ModMan compatible yet - Copy/paste above two files to FC2 directory: HDD:\LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\Bazar\TempTextures\ Download: - Attached to this post cockpit_maps0-1.rar
  11. Very cool, but can you implement mind control, possibly in Russian? :D
  12. Cos it messes up codepages (utf, ansi...), which i s important for some special characters, spaces, tabs, line brakes and so on. It can render file useless.
  13. For editing do not use Windows Notepad, but either Notepad2 or Notepad++
  14. Don't have anything prepared. Next riddle to the fastest poster...
  15. All NATO codenames came from ignorance, not for ease to say it over radio. As for the missiles example, it derived from slang. And why would anyone NOT say "amraam"? How are they reporting on Patroit radar? Tall Mall? Long Bong? Deep Beep? Toot Moot? :D
  16. Its not a "bit restrictive" - it ruins everything in public MP. How Am I supposed to coordinate my work with others? Third of them ain't on TS, third don't know how to lock any sort of target, and sometimes I'm not in the mood to be good guy are last third usually is. Players should have the option to choose their payloads. As I said, its not about certain weapon not being available, but about useless combinations in default payloads, and big possibility that mission creator will NOT have an ear for a2g component. I found it ridiculous that I have to discuss that, let alone that I should join up on dozen or so forums begging and pleading with MP server hosters to change payloads.
  17. "Slightly" is understatement :D
  18. Well, it primarily depends on stuff like mission planing and previous training. Pilots use not only what is available, but they choose among those what is best for the mission. And a mission usually encompasses close collaboration with ground units, which is not entirely possible in FC2. And pilots do not use weapons that they are not trained for, rather they choose what they know best. If you were to relocate MP situation in FC2 into real life (instead doing other way around), you will have few aircraft that have meaning of mutual communication, few without any communication besides "Morse code" (chat), and all without any com from/to ground. Now, in such environment, you will most definitively choose a payload that will be more appropriate for solo hunting, instead for total collaboration in combat. MP environment in FC2 is more like something in the early stages of WW2, when pilots went free hunting, unaware of current battlefield conditions and situations, and you had to wait for him to return and to report. That is why it is UNrealistic to force realistic payloads on MP fliers - environment is NOT realistic. Also, players have different perception of virtual world when compared to real life perception of real world. Meaning, some thing are easier IRL, like taking a look out and checking out how many of what is where under your wings. It would be a lot other story if you could have preflight briefing with updated situation form the battlefield. And a whole lot if there is airport management - that THE only realistic restriction over any payload. Personally, I prefer "dumb" weapons, but I do not like offered combinations. For example, there is a mission on some MP server with nice number and variety of targets. In FC1, I was able to choose ONE SINGLE payload combo that will suffice for entire mission, spending 75-100% in each flight. In FC2, I have to switch between 2-3 different available payloads, spending about 25-50% of what I have, and then I have to return for the "other half". Also, there are no half-empty payloads - which are most used payloads IRL! Its not about certain weapon not being available, but about useless combinations.
  19. Modified, and want to include more exports, as soon aas I have time for it (namely, LoSIOC).
  20. I hate those NATO names. They are results of someones inability to learn correct information in the first place. If people can learn US and other original designations, why are Russian designations such a strain for a brain? I mean, why does "dog ear" mean? Nothing, while PU-13 hides the same meaning as AN/APG or alike... ts-ts..
  21. Look on the bright side of mixed crews - imagine if there is women only crew! - sub will take ages to leave the port until all the makeups are properly applied - satellite internet bills will go skyhigh, and upon arrival from tour, port will be filled up with ebay orders - it will surface on every sunny day, to catch up on tan - it will be loud as hell, for all the chattering and arguing - once a month World would come face to face with nuclear dooms day
