  1. Une pipe avec ça mon didi ? :p
  2. Hehehe guess what, Daguet skins are on the way ;)
  3. lol. ok then don't use VBL, it seems that we have a light issue here. We intensively tested all the others but as long as VBL were my first models and are quite ugly, we left them aside, and it seems it was not a good idea. Don't hesitate in joing the discord for bug reports. ;)
  4. Link at the end of the post ;) Hi everybody, ;) It is a great pleasure for the FrenchPack Team to bring you the Version 0.1 of the French vehicle Pack for DCS World. For a long time already, we had the dream to bring the French Army on DCS. But it needed a lot of work. We finally decided to get it done, and the result is properly amazing. Version 0.11 contains no less than 10 vehicles coming from the French forces, entirely combined Arms ready, and whose specifications fit at the best the original gear. Playing combined arms or simply missionmaking, you’ll now have at your disposal the capacity to deploy a fully coherent armored group, ranging from heavy armor to anti-aircraft system, anti-tank system, and logistic. ____________________________________________ The AMX-30B2 You always dreamt about rolling on your enemies while shooting everywhere ? The AMX-30B2 should fit you well. With its high pressure 105 mm canon, it is able to neutralize a T-72 tank up to 2500 m thanks to its kinetic penetrator (OFL) flying above 1500 m/sec. But it doesn’t mean that it forgets lighter targets. Having explosive shells, a 20 mm coaxial canon whose elevation is independant from the main gun, as well as a roof mounted 7.62, the AMX-30B2 is the master piece of the battleground, allowing a rapid and deadly fire on the opponent. ___________________________________________ The ERC-90 Because recon can sometimes be boring, because you don’t envisage to cross the whole Middle East in a shitty car, the Armée de Terre is proud to bring to you the ERC-90D F4. True heir of the colonial cavalry, it is both quick, light, and carries a huge firepower thanks to its 90 mm canon which shoots a kinetic round able to get through 320 mm of steel from 2000 m, allowing it to destroy any tank up to the T-55 below this range. Still, beware of the recoil ! The ERC-90 only weighs 9 tons, and so is fast and maneuverable, being able to reach a top speed of 110 km/h on road. _____________________________________________ The VAB MEPHISTO Who said that you needed a tank to kill other tanks ? With the VAB MEPHISTO, you’ll have at your disposal a rolling turret which, unfortunately for the bastard who’s facing you, is able to fire up to 4 HOT2 missiles, making it virtually able to kill any tank on the battlefield. Still, beware, as long as guiding those missiles will need a real expertise. Like all VAB except the VIB, it is amphibious, and should be used in couple with the VIB T20/13. _______________________________________________ The VIB T20/13 You’re the kind of people who shoots before speaking, enjoying the bloody spectacle of burning villages ? You feel a deep and sadistic pleasure in ambushing helicopters ? You like making suffer ? You like suffer ? The VIB is made for you ! Featuring a 20 canon made by Nexter, the VIB purpose is to ensure an heavy fire support on the battlefield, working in pair with the VAB MEPHISTO. His canon uses two types of ammunition : explosive and penetrating, granting you the ability to destroy most light armored vehicles met on the battlefield. Its anti-helicopter capacity will be a precious help for your heavier units. _______________________________________________ The VAB .50 and the VAB. Basic versions of the previous vehicles, their purpose is to bring both a light fire support and to bring infantry on site. The classic VAB too features for DCS a logistic capacity allowing it to rearm all the other vehicles. No more will you be left you and your regiment with only one waters. No more. Promise. _______________________________________________ The VBL family Yes. I know. Everything needs a beginning, including 3D. The VBL is the Hummer of the rich ! the La Ferrari of the private ! The coffin of the … Heum… Well. The VBL is a light vehicle capable of ensuring light recon and troop transport on the battlefield. Coming in unarmed logistic variant, AANF 7.62 variant, and cal.50 variant, it is the basic car you’ve ever dreamt of when it comes to kick talibans asses. _______________________________________________ The TRACMA Yes. YES ! Contain your tears ! I know you were expecting him ! It’s a pleasure for us to deliver you the first authentic plane tractor simulator on DCS World ! Still without the tracting part but hey… You can… Roll with it ! Up to 35 km/h. And you can crush others player’s planes with it ! You can even act like as a real French and cause a strike on the base with it ! ____________________________________________ Aaaand it’s not yet over ! Soon other iconic vehicles will come on the sim ! You always dreamt of retreating like a boss, having a reverse speed equal to the forward one ? The AMX-10RCR will be for you ! You’re a more sneaky bastard whose sole pleasure is to kill your teammates ? AMX Roland ! You like the authenticity of a real, combat proven, colonial vehicle ? AML-90 ! You spend your nights dreaming of having a bigger one than your girlfriend’s previous dude ? AUF1 and Caesar ! And then. Then, flying things which sound very… Feline. Wishing you all the best and good flights ! The FrenchPack Team. Credits : AMX-30B2 and glorious TRACMA : Chewme and Robin Hood. 5. Same issue here, not possible to place an USAF Agressor static without issue.
  7. Actually, the comparison with WT isn't fair : WT is about sending planes and tanks in a flat, 3 km large area with great ease to see vehicles from the sky and no proper AAA or SAM defense during 80% of the game. In DCS, you perfectly can be in a tank on a huge battlefield without ever meeting a plane while there are some in the area. If you decide to hide in a forest, well, the A-10 or the kamov are not magic, they won't find you. Nicolas
  8. The average ED yeller is able to create a 6 pages thread questioning how the **** it's possible that battery voltage wasn't implemented on a module. What would you expect after this. People are trolling and when someone tells them, they are the troll. Simply leave the thread and cease reading it, there is no hope left here.
  9. He clearly isn't if he thinks that there is not so much and that such code for a battery would be "one short line" ^^ Sincerely guys I don't really understand your problem. Not trolling, promise, I have 3000 hours on the Kamov-50, taught it to many many people, still, the lack of battery never ever was a concern for me, because I fly, I study everything I have, devs didn't put it for the Kamov, I don't know why, there probably was a reason (perhaps very simple, like what I said, they didn't have the infos), and it's ok, and in 3000 h, I never ever experienced a generator failure. For god sake, it's the same for Gazelle. It wouldn't surprise me that the devs didn't even think about such thing, like when some people claimed that the FM allowed to do a forward loop : you don't think about testing such thing. You say that it should be there for 50$ : Your Track IR costs 4 times this price. 50$ is a videogame price, you have a 5 years long work, very good quality one, like on other aircrafts, and you already are lucky enough. But you want everything, like professionnals who spend 10 k $ in a sim. My answer is the same than the sanbato's one : Go pass your license, fly a real helo, and leave your keyboard. You are inventing bugs there, and if so many people answer rudely to you all, it's not because they want to troll, it's simply that they consider that you are purely trolling, and sincerely, you are, like on the FM threads where most things which are reported to be missing got implemented for months (VRS, low skid on T/O etc etc) and are signaled by people who never fly the thing and simply want to spit at something. Question got its answer on the first page : Battery isn't modeled. Nicolas
  10. Actually I told you that generator failure isn't modeled on most DCS aircrafts, demonstrated you that battery wasn't simulated on aircfats that people consider as a reference in terms on simulation, worldwide. People tell you that even if it was, you would have hours with batteries on. Still you tell people they are trolling while you keep asking the same thing. Sorry but in my opinion, you are the troll. For me the debate is over, there is no battery simulation and simply no need for it. Nicolas
  11. Not modeled on most aircrafts in DCS.
  12. Hi, By default SAM from both sides are displayed on the ABRIS. The solution I used until now was to hide them on the editor. Still, for a PVP server mission, I'd like them to not be shown on the ABRIS, while not having to hide them on the editor map because if I do so, the Combined arms guys won't be able to see them either, and so to control them. Any solution ? (Except disabling tactical situation in the charts I mean ^^)
  13. Fact is that I am not sure that it is easy to find such information. Looks simple like this but you need to gather both battery informations, then consumtion for each instrument. It may be easier for the Huey as it is a very well known aircraft. I had a lot of electric and maintenance schemes of the Gazelle long time ago, I don't remember seeing the consumtions informations. Still it perhaps was in. Not sure. For the remaining part, we live in a time where difference between fun and agressivity is narrow, consider that when I make fun of something, it's for fun, if I want to be agressive, you'll read it fast ^^. So I'm not sure. Not even sure that mechanicians often test such thing, except when something breaks and they check the voltage. And, on a code point of view, Gazelle was hard to optimize, having another electric consumtion calculation for each instrument may not help. I suspect that the same idea was applied on the Kamov-50 : eletric power is for maintenance, nothing more, and that's overly consuming in terms of coding and cpu for the final result. It's my opinion, you've yours, I reserve the right to myself to joke about it because I'm like this, I laugh a lot, usually at myself :p
  14. Yes, my job, and I like to think that I do it well ;)
  15. Cease being in the personnal attacks... There are two ways to take what I said. On a joke point of view, well forgive me but your question is fun, because there is no real point in modeling the batteries and you still look very concerned about them, so well, I may be a troll (don't know) but for me it's fun, and as long as fun still isn't forbidden on this forum, I laugh a bit ^^ On a serious point of view, I gave you real argument coming directly from what is, from the general way of thinking, a reference. The kamov-50, where batteries weren't modeled either, and I spent 1 hour only for you watching a clock moving in accelerated to see if Poly was the only studio which didn't model it. (which actually is the exact behavior I laughed about, you'll note) So the serious answer would be what was said earlier : on some aircrafts, there is simply no point in modeling the batteries because it will increase CPU loading on one side, be quite useless on another side. The sa342M1 from 1998 batteries are a bit better than the Huey ones : they may keep working few hours with everything on, so there is no real point in modeling them. Hoping that it will be a tastier answer for you ;) Nicolas
  16. I wonder if the doors hinges are well modeled either. I mean. I spent 4 hours opening and closing the doors at a very very high frequency (I slew down the time by 3 so I could push faster on the command), still the door opened and closed exactly in the same manner and with the same noise. It really breaks my immersion.
  17. Yes but nope in fact. Actually on the kamov-50 the elec panel isn't modeled. I guess that the dev didn't think that modeling the rear panel Voltmeter and Ampermeter was so relevant... So well, I waited in accelerated 12 hours with everything on in the helicopter including the abris (which consums a bit more than a pump), external lighting, landing spot etc. Guess what, nothing happened. I simply wonder, what's the point of this thread ? Do you write a thesis on the gazelle batteries autonomy ? Go kill tanks instead... ;) Nicolas
  18. That's something I too wondered on the Kamov as I am not sure that batteries are modeled eithet on it.
  19. Hi Chromium, thanks for your work, I have a little question : does this script save the flags values ? IE : on our server we will have a mission with a marker which increments everytime something is killed, to act like a score. Will every triggers including flags, or "Time over XX s after mission start" be reset ? Nicolas
  20. Sincerely guys, you are making a whole mountain for not so much. In french community i know a lot of people who simply enjoy the Gazelle. Perhaps are there lacks, none of them really disturbs me nor them. So perhaps something was badly understood by devs, or badly seen by test pilots. I may not have your knowledge, and I understand your opinion and it may be true btw (Fox, I reacted to the way you were talking to Borchi, I didn't even read the discussion before...). Still here is my very humble point of view : First : I do never comment what I don't try. Let me give you a nice illustration on how it looks : A ferrari drives down the road. "this ferrari, it doesn't drive like one" - ah yeah ? You drove it ? - No, but I saw videos on YT of people driving it. -....... A FM is thousands and thousands lines long, and is btw a little part of the simulator when it comes to a whole combat helicopter, so speaking like if the whole module is crap because of something missing in the FM is IMO a bit exagerated. You are (this is my opinion) ruining the reputation of some people who work hard while you could simply propose your help on Discord in private, or candidate to beta test teams, which would be far more productive. But you don't. You prefer yelling, imagining that after 10 pages, a lot of people read you. You know, having seen everything from the interior shew me that dev is not simple, for multiple reasons. It's a very long and painful job in fact, I still don't understand how can people have fun doing this ^^, I remember the whole team being very stressed at the release because they hoped to release the best product possible. Even if I only was the campaign maker, and that I was only with them for 6 months, and already paid btw, I was completely stressed too. Because Pat, Sven and me shared the same feeling : They spent a lot of efforts in the Gazelle, me in the campaign, and time was now for judgement. And let me tell you this : some people here were really stinky. There were lacks at the release on the FM, but right at the beginning the way of exposing the issues was the following : "You Polychop are ignominous liers and incompetent morons". I even remember someone asking for the identity of the test pilots. Fact is that you are not prepared for such behavior, specially when you spent so many efforts in the work. They did their best to fix the various lacks that were signaled, during two months, 4-6 h a day, on my own Teamspeak, with beta testers, pilots, mechanicians etc. It was a collective work from several actors, not only devs. We have several Gazelles in our squad, and while I prefer my Kamov that I fly for 6 years (Simply for its combat capabilities), it's a real pleasure to fly it. Perhaps isn't their best enough for you, but it's enough for me, as well as for most people I know in the community (and believe me, I know a shit load of people in it) . I may surely not be neutral (nor are you, you both are IMHO far too emotional), but I know for having worked with them that they work far more for passion than for money. So for me, as well as for other people I know in french squads (a lot of them directly coming from the ALAT btw), the Gazelle is now a finished product, with sometimes some bugs because of unscheduled updates from ED, and perhaps are there some lacks in the FM, here or there (I cannot judge, I don't know.), but there is no need anymore to spend a lot of time on it. The next module will take lessons from the first product, and so they will avoid a lot of problems they had with the Gazelle. Still, and as Sven said, it is highly possible that both the big up from Army pilots and from several very well qualified engineers will not be enough to satisfy everyone. The simmer is never happy. He is a sad little boy. So for the future, if you have real concerns about the FM, and of course devs are not perfect and can be wrong while you can be right (I don't know, not my job, and sincerely, I don't give a **** ^^), get in private, instead of coming here to sum up a 5 years work to one mistake in public like you tend to do... With all respect, may god bless my diplomacy, the first French quality, and thanking Pat, Sven and all the people who work in the dark for everything, Nicolas PS : Joking, I don't know a **** about diplomacy either, which is a bad point for a future lawyer.
  21. Yes I'd like this to be well understood either, tired of people thinking that I'm a dev every time I say something, I got paid once to deliver the campaign, helped my best during the Gazelle dev (which didn't mean a lot compared to the job Pat and Sven did), and now that's kinda all. I never ever gave an advice on the FM as long as Poly has pilots to give them, I simply helped finding bugs on the systems and tried to give a "customer" opinion on this or that before release and during few monthes after. If i was a dev, I would be more diplomat. Nicolas
  22. @Fox did you really fly an helo ? No because your scheme is right ofc but it demonstrates the most basic principle of helo flight dynamics. You look very glad of it... Like if you kind of discovered some rare and misunderstood stuff. Arguing that devs ignore it while coding a FM is all about physics and maths and that this kind of scheme must be in the 5 first pages of any helo physics book looks a bit abusive for me. As well as assuming that noone ever designed a SAS to counter this extremly well known and basic effect. Anyway you know, someone who comes and says to an helicopter module dev "you don't know anything about helicopters me I do" may not be taken very seriously... Kinda clumsy... Nicolas
  23. Viruce, ton niveau d'anglais est inversement proportionnel à la taille de ta barbe :p
