  2. Hi, Technically it should work now with the new files. I say technically, cause of course, on the last update, they allowed the AI to hit trees. And I am pretty sure that at least one of the AI helicopters will hit a tree at a moment or another. So well. Try, and see ;) And no, no new campaign under development for the Gazelle. Nicolas
  3. Hey btw, did someone try to look in the Charts in the Abris main menu to make himself sure that villages names are not simply disabled by default now ? Can't try here but it doesn't cost a lot to check ;)
  4. Btw, There is something that sounds strange for me in this story. I'm fine with the fact that the laser has limited illuminations, nothing to say about it. Still, why does it always happen (at least to me) when I rearm with new vikhrs, and fire the first one of them ? I mean, I shoot the 12 first Vikhrs, everything is fine. Cease firing, illuminating, do an RTB, rearm in vikhrs, come back, and then, first shot, flouuuuuw shproum. lol So usually I tend to ask for a repair with rearm. Still sounds strange to me, like if rearming enabled this parameter in the code.
  5. They should be integrated. Note that the "Aircraft AI will take damage after collision with trees." line is going to put a little mess with one mission (Miz9) of the campaign, so another fix will be added to it. Nicolas

  7. Main problem with search menu is that it sometimes doesn't find the requested village, and well, it's better to have everything displayed on the map ^^ Buildings are missing too btw. Nicolas
  8. To edit the F-5 HUD, I guess that you can simply get in Mods./Aircraft./F5E/Scripts/Cockpit/HUD and cry. ;) Nicolas
  9. The biggest mistake IMO when spotted by an aircraft is to flee. Keep it in your sight, train and train again to get a lock on fast moving targets, it's a bit tricky but finally becomes more a reflex than anything else. Then once it faces you, shoot. Of course you'll get shot 50% of the time but hey, if you flee you're dead anyway. Already shot down F-15, Su-27, A-10C, Mirage etc. my best shot was a F-15, he was about 30° up from me, I raised the nose, shot twice, killed the pilot. Don't underestimate the canon either, I shot many jets with it. Truth is that plane pilots underestimate a lot the kamov capabilities, most of the time because the kamov pilot tends to turn his back and flee which is completely hopeless. Fact is that most fighter pilots even take their time, turning at low speed around you. I didn't count the amount of over confident pilots I killed simply with canon. My best one was again an F-15. We were patrolling, 3 kamovs, 5 m/ground. My wingman signals "Missile !" and I see an explosion right in front of me, we stop down a mountain, and look around, here he is, coming back at something like 200 knots, 50 m/ground, shooting his Aim-7 in the mountain because they can't get a lock. He got shot by us all, canon, and crashed like a shit in the mountain. ^^ Best solution to counter enemy jets is so to count on the fact that he is a dumb jet pilot. Of course, if you see the guy climbing and climbing and climbing to attack you from above, then you can think "shit, I'm officially dead". Ah, and on slow moving helicopter, avoid the front sector button, which enables proximity fuses, as log as it may make the vikhrs explode to early when approaching the rotor blades. And a last tip, on Kamov-50, if you want to keep your vikhrs but to shoot on a landing or taking off helicopter let's say 6km from you. Switch your canon on API, force manual override and shoot ;) Nicolas
  10. We don't care about how a HUD or an MFD is realistic or not. Kamov-50 is a prototype. Fact is that a prototype is produced to evolve considering the pilots feedback. So when after 2000 h on it, I decide to change something on the HUD for example, I don't do it to cheat or anything but simply because after a long experience with the default system, practicing and practicing, I notice that something could be added to improve efficiency in combat, improve visibility of critical informations etc. IRL it exactly works like this, engineer delivers the prototype, and then asks for feedbacks for stuff to improve. So the "realism police" can go *** itself, most of them didn't spend 10% the time I spent on the helicopter, learning everything, teaching it etc etc. When I spend time modding something, it is not to play more arcade or anything like this, but simply to fill the lacks of the prototype. So Nero, we don't care about those guys, out there there are a lot of people who enjoy having new things on their Kamov, specially if they are well thought, practical, and efficient (Your former work on the Ka-50 overhaul was an impressive example). Personnally each time I mod something, would it be texture, system or else, I know that the ones who waited for it will be happy, and the others simply don't need to download. That's not like if we painted pink panthers on the Shkval, we simply bring a prototype in a military form. Arguing about the fact that a prototype must not be modified is simply non sense. Nicolas

  12. Please find a fix for the General cabin lamp and NVG blue light in cockpit for DCS 2.5. JSGME Ready. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3304469/ I wasn't able to fix the switch lights etc. Still it is far better now. For Integrity check, test on your own. General lamp : UV lamp : I am too working on the NVG, managed to remove the black edges, still can't make an oval. I can remove the blurry effect (even if realistic) and to put in full screen. Still I need some work. Please note that there is no NVG modification in the current mod. Nicolas

  14. Ah ok. There won't be any fix on anything dealing with the SA-342 as well as other modules btw now. 1.5 is left in the current state and won't be updated by ED. Get on the 2.5, it's simply not the same and it's nearly sad for you to play the 1.5 campaign now. 2.5 Campaign should be released in few weeks. (Depending on when ED updates the files)

  17. Heum. Well comparison with the Mig-21 isn't fair. Let me explain : Between the Sa-342 M and the Sa-342 L you have : - Different systems inside cockpit. - Different systems across the whole airframe (Athos cam, pylons etc) - Different weight. - Different FM. Fact is that even if it was possible to allow swapping from one to another (which IMO would ruin the game, I'll come to it later), it would need a completely unreasonable amount of work to merge all the stuff, because each of them are currently separated products with separated codes. I can understand that from a non-coder point of view, things may look very "logical", and somewhat easy, but fact is that when you have 35 000 lines of code, merging them with two other 35 000 lines of code isn't as simple as writing a magic formula like "If value Sa-342 M = 1, then replace all systems and code". For the gameplay part, let it be very simple : it would be completely unfair, specially on PVP servers. Imagine : you are pursuing an Sa-342M in your Kamov-50. You know that there aren't any risks for you. She manages to escape briefly, lands, picks up Mistral missiles and kills you. It would be perfectly unfair, exactly like if I landed my Ka-50 and "rearmed" in a Kamov-52. Still, opf course it would be very practical for squad purpose etc. But it too would lead to real issues so... They are not the same helicopters, name is the same, airframe is approximately the same, but comparison stops here. Nicolas
  18. Hi ;) So files are completed today 02-15-2018 and sent to Polychop. Release should come relatively soon. (Two more weeks) - Miz 1 to 12 reedited and adapted to DCS 2.5. - Triggering system adapted. - Miz 10, 11 and 12 tweaked A LOT to improve FPS. - Campaign is playable in multi-crew from miz 1 to 7, after these you still can try but it may be laggy. - To adapt the campaign for multi-player purpose, simply add another Gazelle, be careful, if the original phoenix-1 is down, then mission failure. THERE may still be bugs, glitches, strange things, which weren't detected so far. I sincerely hope that you won't meet any, but if you do, then report them as usual in the bug section. Expect a far more difficult version than previous one, as long as new trees are higher etc etc. Known issue : Laser from JTAC will appear black on NGV whith defered shading enabled. It seems to be a general shader issue like dark cockpits for a lot of modules etc etc. Thanks a lot to the beta testers who helped me to upgrade this one, without them you could only expect it for this summer ;) Nicolas
  19. Yup there is a huge issue with the defered shading for most modules, (same on Kamov-50 for example). We are yet looking for a fix at least for night lighting so you can again use your lamps etc. By day it may need to wait for some ED tweaking, except if there is a way to fix it by editing the textures but I am not the photoshop guy ^^ Nicolas
  20. Well, airfield vehicles and objects don't have any life value. If you land on them or hit them with any weapon you will get this. Land a Kamov on this truc and the same will happen ;)
