  1. AJ 37 from 1969, JAS 39 from 1996...

  3. I was joking that the Puma family is not a beautiful family of helos, but I guess everyone has their preferences ;)
  4. Now we know it's definititely not one of the Puma/Cougar types :D
  5. "something nice to play with"? Puma with the 20mm door gun? :D
  6. You don't need tech in the aircraft to fire an ARMAT or Exocet, because their internal sensors can find targets without help from the aircraft. You still need a way for the pilot to communicate with the weapon, though. This is not the same thing as giving an F-15C a targeting pod, high-res displays, ground mapping radar modes, advanced ECM with radar localizers etc.
  7. There is a difference between "air force did not purchase/ train to use..." and "aircraft can't fire." Martel and ARMAT and ALARM have their own radar locator, so you can use them on a Sea Harrier, Jaguar, or Tornado GR.x (and other planes) without installing equipment on the plane. (Downside = each missile is expensive.) The HARM (at least the old versions) needs an F-4G or Tornado ECR etc. with radar localization equipment installed in the airplane. With an Exocet, you "just" need to fly close enough that the Exocet's own radar can get a lock on, or you can program coordinates for its inertial nav system.

  9. Re^ Go to 6:33. Soviet Tu-16 rgt coming from the east, flying along the Polish coast on practice attack runs. The small tracks are East German and Polish MiG-21. The "sunrays" are jamming effects. Denmark's coastline is drawn in the left part of the video. South Sweden (where this radar was located) is in the centre with all the "lights."
  10. How would the P-3 have "New or unique methods of propulsion or force distribution" in the DCS context?
  11. No, look at their posts, just random screenshots.
  12. http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/usa/honolulu They have many hours left :D
  13. I had a brainfart, somehow my brain thought the AIM-9M predated the L  I blame alcohol. :drink:
  14. Magic II is all-aspect so it's comparable to the AIM-9L, not M :)
  15. Cool stuff: Lots more (with other planes) on that youtube channel.
  16. AI Fw 200 for those North Sea RN Hellcat missions ;).
  17. F-4 is still sensitive, it's in active use by NATO air forces. But so is M2000, A-10C, Hornet, so I don't think this matters if you make an old variant. It's not a problem, just choose one and make it. ;) But anyway they haven't been hinting at a Phantom the way they've hinted at other planes.
  18. I think Cobra had an avatar with a swedish AShM, don't remember.
  19. I don't know why it would stutter for you, it ran fine on my old midrange system (3.1-3.3Ghz core i5, gtx 760). Some people mentioned having low FPS when using the red cockpit lights.
  20.
  21. Wouldn't they have to pay expensive royalties to use any of these songs?
  22. Super Tucano, C-101, Hawk have combat roles too. And they're not lightly armed compared to an armed Huey or Sabre, which are currently being enjoyed by the community.
  23. Wow! :beer::beer: Big grats!
