  1. Haha, excellent. :book: Btw I've heard modern english being described as a result of Norman men-at-arms trying to pick up Saxon tavern maids. In regards to that, note that "fick" is a german word that remains in modern english, in slightly modified form... I hope none of the germanophone mods read this forum ;).
  2. And via French, words like ambulance, restaurant, lamp, tube, digit and around 60% of the modern english vocabulary.
  3. They need to make an AI RIO anyway, so they don't really need multi-seat multiplayer to release the F-14.
  4. That's not ED's job. AMD cards are well known to be badly optimized for dx9. Dx11 is expected to improve performance on AMD cards.
  5. Usually Cobra does the updates? It's 21:12 where Cobra and Dolphin live. Still a few hours left until March though :megalol:.
  6. ^That's my point of view as well, but was too lazy to type it.
  7. 1:12 Caucasus map? Looking really nice.
  8. Heard everyone needs to use the DCS repair function to fix the MiG-21 in this update.
  9. Because in the west, we test Harpoon/Exocet/NSM/Rbs15 by shooting at live, crewed ships...? And let's not pretend we don't drill to kill Sovremennys and Chinese 052 class ships...
  10. Does anyone know the polygon count in the Huey or Sabre cockpit?
  11.
  12. A-6 family has a thin tapered tail boom with tiny elevators, not a fat twin-engined a** with huge elevators.
  13. .
  14. I agree. Most F-14 air victories were achieved by land-based F-14A squadrons anyway. By far.
  15. Did you look in the Mirage forum? Zeus has been answering many questions in the M2k screenshot thread, as recently as last week. In february we saw around 4 videos showing rockets, guns fired, exterior model, cockpit systems. Wags posted screens of the M2k in Nevada in january or december.
  16. Cities & infrastructure in 1944 and 1982 would look very different, though. But I guess it would be the best surrogate for a modern european map.
  17. Nice initiative, I like your models, best of luck

  19. After the map+ground units, IMHO the largest need by far is flyable multi-engine attack planes/bombers, one for each side. So people who like ground attack (there are many!) have a more hefty option than a single-seater. It's really needed for SP & MP campaigns/missions imho.
  20. In the real world, it's a BVR fighter. In a sim scenario, still a BVR fighter. By DCS/Lockon airquake standards, maybe you're right.
  21. A normal cold war Tornado loadout didn't have any AAM either. Bombs under the fuselage, wings: 2x fuel tank, ECM pod, CM pod. Self defense meant escaping enemy fighters.
  22. I think he's wondering why it took the forum so long to find it :D.
  23. Similar info on this site: http://www.blackburn-buccaneer.co.uk/Pages1_files/SeaEagle_Index.html Which seems to have good sources:
  24. "Improved lighting" is very vague, and P*Funk was being very specific about formation and strobe lights. Improved lighting could mean town lights, cockpit illumination... Sure it may get improved in 2.0 but we don't know that at the moment. You can't just assume that this kind of requested improvement is on the dev to-do list.
  25. Cool, I'll check it out for sure. Just a note (not criticism, just "by the way"), Hezbollah have actually been fighting against ISIS and AQ-affiliated groups in Syria and Iraq. Hezbollah are Shia, aligned with Iran (who have been bombing IS), IS and AQ are Sunni. I'd post more links but they're behind a paygate like this one: http://foreignpolicy.com/2013/07/17/should-the-cia-be-sharing-intelligence-that-could-help-hezbollah/
