ok it says Contact bearing 170 for 20, if its voice is in russian, its saying you wanna head south on a heading of 170 and its 20km away from you. if its voice is in english, its saying you wanna head south on a heading of 170 and its 20nm away from you. dope is just the closest target, picture just lists off all the groups of targets in the area... and keep in mind, the awacs can't see things hiding low behind hills and mountains, so it doesn't list everything, just what it can see...

you actually have pretty good timing, i just yesterday did a mig-29S kill compilation

its HDR in sweetfx, it makes everything super blue, but it gives a terribly unrealistic amount of contrast ratio too.

yeah just set up a axis on your stick or a throttle quadrant or something for vertical scan, and one for radar range, and you're good to go. it's like analog battleship(the board game) in 3D, you can set it to scan any point in the radars limits, it automatically scans left to right, so you only need to scan up and down and in and out.

I don't really have anything new to add... but I'd like to say that I'm glad other people are able who do this kinda stuff too, for a while there i was kinda lonely... thanks for making this thread, and giving me a place to vent my frustrations (show others how i do it)... And yes, flying the mig-21 will make you a better mig-29+ pilot, stop relying on the uber missiles, rely on your skills and your planes performance, will get you a lot more kills, less deaths.

I'm looking for a group that flies everything but the F-15C, who hates the noobish AIM-120C and wants to kill all noobs (in dcs, not real life) who think their pro because they fly the F-15, even though they suck without their precious aim-120. :D that's not saying the F-15 is in itself a noobish plane, just the aim-120 makes it so my resume:

My first attempt at a kill compilation please tell me how i do All from the 159th and 104th servers on Nov.29-30. i got more in other planes, but i decided to do just the MiG-29S for this video, also only take R-60M, R73 and R-27R missiles, maybe a R-27T?

you still can of coarse, but giving your opinion on what is acceptable and what isn't, when you haven't even read up on how it all works, means anything you say has no evidence to back up your claims, so you really shouldn't...

The mig-21 has engine wear, it slowly loses power if you burn it too long, too hot, but if you treat the engine nice it'll last longer than you'll probably play in one spawn. the mig-21 also uses compressed air for the brakes, and has no compressor to refill the tanks, so when you run out of air, you have no brakes. it also has an evaporative cooling system that uses liquid helium i believe, that runs out and your radar will fry, literally, after 20 minutes, if you don't put the radar in standby, in standby it lasts 45 minutes. since nothing in DCS is really persistent, probably pretty difficult to do, make it so that you always get the same plane back every time you spawn in.

Win7 is my os currently, win10 looks nice from what I've seen. will wait for an actual release then read reviews and watch movies on it, if it looks good, I'll switch....

for DCS, the rift isn't really a thing... best get the trackIR, cause you'll actually use it for DCS... the consumer rift won't work for dcs either, its not the display, its the fact that even the fastest computer you can't even buy yet is still many MANY times too slow... and will be for years, because even at 1920x1080, it brings any machine down to less than 60 fps on any graphics settings, and for a good experience we're gonna need 4K+ at 90fps+ and trying to do that on even the very fastest pc is, at least for a few years time, impossible.

What happens when you put a mig-21 pilot in an su-27? I only use R-73s and R-27Rs (not ER) I'm really bad at flying the su-27, tried to fly it the same way as i fly the mig-21, i do manage 3 kills... the radar on the su-27 almost makes it too easy.

real life your eyes see a lot more detail than can be displayed on a 1920x1080 display... i think at 4K (not DSR) zooming in so much might not be as important, except that when you zoom in, instead of lean forwards, the more you zoom in, the more stuff gets within draw distance so you can actually see it in the first place

I'd love to join a group, i only really fly the mig-21... looking for people who want to learn or already know how to fly it on servers like 104th...

there are two kinds of zoom #1 decreasing the FOV #2 leaning forwards decreasing the fov is like putting a 1000mm lens on the camera leaning forwards is like not putting any new lens on the camera, just moving it closer to the object... so my answer is both.

The zoom view axis lowers the field of view, in turn makes everything appear bigger, leaning in just puts the camera closer to the object, hence the HUD, foucused on infinity, stays the same size. Nice flares snoopy

I haven't tried it online vs modern fighters but it works against everything I've shot at offline even with grom missiles When I get into that situation online I'll definitely try it

well you hear a loud 800hz wine in your cockpit, someones locked on you, look out the window, see rocket smoke, flare... its pretty self explanatory

mig-21-2000 as for pricing, make it like the actual upgrades for the mig-21 in real life, you buy the mig-21bis, then pay for the upgrades?
