Fell off my chair laughing. Seriously, I too, would buy anything DCS. Already have two helos that I don't fly... much. But the Huey flies every night after work. When I get itchy, I fly the P-51 then the A-10C. Every once in a while, I fly the F-15. I'll be quitting my job when the advanced flight model on the Eagle comes out! I won't have enough time to fly everything so, low priority is the job!

I will buy any module that comes standard to DCS. Actually, I have already. Anything new (F-18!!!) I will buy. Some things, I have bought twice. I don't care what era a hifi study sim module comes from. I fly the P-51 every day just as I do the A-10C. I bought the Black Shark but don't fly it because, well, I can't get it off the ground well enough to be called flying it. But if DCS ever comes out with a Sopwith Camel or a Fokker Triplane, I'll fly them right along side my DCSF22. "Final Countdown" anyone? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080736/

Took off from Sukhumi intending to attack some T-72's at Sochi to practice MK-82 bombing. Ended up near Novorossiysk because I fell asleep while flying. No autopilot, either because I was trimmed. Ended up at angels 15, though. Butt sore from slouching in the chair that long without moving. Quit and flew the mission again. Never thought of taking a break.

Any guess on the 1.2.7 coming out of beta? I'm dying to get it onto my machine official.

I'm a noob but I don't have a problem with taking off or landing the Mustang. But, then, that's all I do know how to do! :-D I've been practising against cargo planes but even then, I get shot down. Maybe it's self inflicted? On a serious note, I had an engine failure the other day (enabled) and tried a restart. Much to my surprise, every time I hit the starter, I could feel the torque twist the plane. Absolutely awesome!

Flew the UH-1 for an hour. Got hit hard several times and all four crew died but the chopper spun about its tail for several minutes being hacked away by a T-55. Eventually, the dance ended with the Huey hitting the ground. May be a bug? Joystick issues with sensitivity all wrong. I had to fight all the time. I should change the curves a bit more, I suppose. I took out the T-55?????? I just buzzed the heck out of it with the guns and it went poof. The debrief said that it killed me, but although it hit me, my poor flying skilled led to my demise. I couldn't land very well. Hope my flights helped out a bit. Later.

It's 1925Z right now and I'll stop by but I don't have 1.2.7 so I probably can't do much. I'm so in love with DCSW that I am afraid to do anything to my machine other than releases.

Please look into easing up the "start up" rocking. Proper functioning Hueys don't rock anywhere near that much. Yeah, sling loads would be great. But just imagine the physics involved! Get it right and I'll carry your Volkswagen all around Krasnodar for you!

I've never shut the engine down before and then tried to restart it. I'll have to check it out. I like your idea, Deacon!

After a few hours placing vehicles and buildings around, I finally came up with a sort of grass field for the P-51 to land and take off from. But I can't get a plane to spawn or start there. The P-51 has no way in the mission editor to have a zero speed and altitude at the beginning of a mission. Y'all see what I'm trying to do? Suggestions?

If it's in Beta, does that mean that FC3 has it in the latest update? I haven't flown the F-15 in a couple weeks, now. (It's that pesky Huey hogging all my flight hours! :)

Has anyone asked TM if they could supply the extension hardware? Extension wire and plugs, base extension tube, grip extension tube.... etc? What are the dimensions of the real A-10 stick?

Please check my gaming computer's specs. I run Win 7 64 bit with, normally, just one screen (my preference) and can only get 50 fps around cities. If I run three screens (no MFCD mode) my FPS drops to the upper teens. How do you get the 80's?

My system specs are in my sig, below, and I was surprised to find that DCS is still heavily CPU bound. I ran with everything set to max with three screens (MFCD) set to 5760 x 1080 and got FPS in the high teens. I set everything to LOW, three screens (MFCD) set to 5760 x 1080 and got the same thing. I switched to everything max again with one screen set to 1920 x 1080 and got FPS in the mid 50's. Just to check, I switched everything back to low with one screen set to 1920 x 1080 and got the same FPS in the mid 50's. Conclusion: my two graphics cards are not being utilized as much as they could be. The only reason people are getting bogged down with high-end graphics cards is because their CPU's are taking the brunt of the workload. My watercooler fan goes from idle to full as soon as I go from the mission editor to Fly because my CPU is getting hotter. Somewhere, I read that ED was going to try to switch out the graphics engine to make more use of the modern graphics cards capabilities but I suspect this will be way too much of a change for what ED has thrown their efforts into thus far. So, unless I can get liq. nitro cooling, I'm stuck with the FPS that I have. PS> I just realized my sig had not been updated in a while. Today, I have a Samsung 27", a Dynex 40", and a Benq 27". If you're making a video, just set up a mission with two a/c and eject from one, walk to the other and do an inspection on that one. Edit to taste... But, yeah, it would be nice to just "start from ramp walkaround".

I was all set to yell and scream for an English version cockpit but I've changed my mind. Yes, it is Russian equipment so it should stay "high fidelity" in its ultimate form. That said, I would ask that a "cheat" be instituted that brain dead pilots like me can use to see things in English. One of the major reasons I don't fly my Ka-50 is because of the cockpit. I CAN fly it, but I'm not that good at fighting with it because I don't have the pit etched in my mind. Yes, this is a Beta release so I am perfectly happy letting Belsimtek work out the kinks. You should have seen me trying to land the P-51D when that came out in Beta! But I struggled and got it.... sort of.... Today, if I don't fly the Mustang, I have troubles landing still! But I am so very happy with it. I don't mind waiting for Belsimtek to get it right.

I would love to see exhaust and wheel smoke on my planes. I would love to see low pressure wingtop clouds when pulling G's, too! God, that would be great!

I prefer (LockOn) Modern Air Combat. But, I currently have the P-51 and had it almost from day 1. Let me put it this way: Whatever comes out in DCS (so long as it has the fidelity of the A-10C, etc., I will buy it full price. (Not that I am rich or anything, but I want to make sure DCS reigns supreme in the Flight Sim world... as it currently does.) I bought LoMAC twice, and I even bought the Black SHark but don't fly it (uh..... can't.... uh... don't know how....) DCS is my hobby. I don't smoke, drink, do drugs, nor run around with strange women (except one) so any spare coins I have are dedicated to DCS and its implementation. I can come up with $40 if you are that desperate. But you'll have to polish my shiny P-51 and sweep out the Huey's cargo area.

I landed an F-15, an A-10C, as well as a (horrible) landing in a P-51. I saw no tire smoke at all. Oh, and what about exhaust smoke? I think both of these features will be awesome if implemented. I did see the great tip streaks. That was awesome!!!!!!!

So far as I can tell, the only effect an off-center nose wheel has is the turning radius difference, left and right. I don't know if it is in the DCS manual but I do know actual pilots mention this oddity.
