  1. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=270312 It's on the second page...
  2. :megalol: Thanks for all your hard work, but the point is to proof the simulator, and see if this is a bug or is it a real life problem? If it's a bug, then please fix it. It it's real life then why isn't it in the NATOPS?
  3. I hit the S-300 surveillance radar and it kept turning...
  4. This is either a Simulator, or it's a video game....Stop nerfing things and making them not real, or confess that this isn't a real simulator...You can't say you're an simulator if you can't make things realistic...HARM has been done and I'm pretty sure it isn't just a firecracker...:music_whistling:
  5. I posted the trk. file in the main section...
  6. Here's the track... FA-18C FCS AIL BIT Problem.trk
  7. The X'd out condition persists even after the engines are started and everything is turned on. Hit the reset button, but it still reports no ailerons. However, the ailerons work just fine...she flies just fine...
  8. I guess my point isn't necessarily to do things the right way, but rather to see what happens when I don't follow the procedure. If this is a real issue, then what do I have to do to correct it? Does this break the jet in real life? Does maintenance have to fix it? If this doesn't happen in the real plane, then it's a bug that needs to be fixed in the game. So, I guess I'm flight testing the virtual Hornet...
  9. Don't all the USAF Demo Teams do that during airshows?
  10. No...
  11. When I do a ground power start up and do a FCS BIT RESET before starting the APU or Engines, I can't start the AIL and they stay X'd out. It that correct?
  12. I've noticed that there are flight control checks being performed before taxi that I can't figure out how to do. This video link shows the F-16 raising TEF, and lowering the LEF. Neither of these things can be done in DCS: F-16C. Am I missing something, or is that feature still WIP?
  13. I've noticed that missions I've made in the Editor can create problems for DCS of their own. For example, I have two Nevada missions I made in the ME. They both work fine except for one thing. When I hold short of the runway and ask for takeoff clearance I get that permission in one mission but nothing in the other. It's only when I ask for takeoff clearance. Everything else works fine. It causes me to wonder if people aren't experiencing different problems just because there is corruption in the mission they are trying to play. It might be a good idea to ask if the mission they're having problems in was created in the ME...
  14. I'm talking about single player. I almost never do multiplayer...
  15. I'm happy with it. I had a problem being recognized by the PC, but I kept messing with it and it works...not sure what was wrong...
  16. Doesn't the Phoenix missile have a proximity fuse? I narrowly missed a MiG-29 by a close distance that seemed to be close enough to damage the mig, but it didn't explode. Very frustrating...
  17. TPS-43 is good too...;) This radar was deployed by the Argentine Air Force during the 1982 Falklands War to Stanley and survived two British attacks with AGM-45 Shrike anti radar missiles on May 31 and June 3. One of the radars was captured by British forces after the Argentine surrender and deployed at RAF Buchan. Another set installed at Rio Grande, in the mainland, was used to guide Argentine attacks on the British fleet.
  18. Why aren't there any ground based systems in DCS for the US/Western Countries? The USAF has ground based units dedicated to providing EWR/GCI functions. We can't rely on having AWACS in a big conflict. There aren't enough of them...;) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_Air_Force_air_control_squadrons https://www.552acw.acc.af.mil/Library/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/430827/control-and-reporting-center-crc/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AN/TPS-43 A deployed CRC (Control & Reporting Center).
  19. The Navy stopped using the F/A-18C for operational front line purposes in Feb 2019. It's only used for some training as an adversary aircraft and the Blue Angels are going Super Hornet in 2021...The Marines said they'll use it till the early 2030's, but I'm not sure if that's regular Hornet, or Super Hornet...
  20. The F-15C has been changed dramatically over the years, besides, most of the aircraft in this game have classified capabilities that aren't necessarily modeled in game...like MIDS, LINK-16, IFF, ECM. All of these systems are highly classified yet they are in the game in an unclassified form...
  21. It comes from Poland. I got it in less than a week after ordering it to Hawaii (I know I suck)...I can tell you all the short comings of it. It's not bad. I got the twist version...
  22. The manual doesn't clarify that the FCS cooling switch is called, "AV COOLING" in the cockpit. In fact, it's not described at all. When activated, an external scoop is supposed to be deployed. This scoop can only be closed by ground personnel. The switch works (with scoop deployment sound), but I'm not sure if the system is completely modelled on the 3D external model, or in coding.
  23. In my professional experience, I've never heard of a radar vector that was given in one degree increments. The smallest I've ever heard were in 5 degree increments, but usually they are given in 10 degree increments. Possibly, I gave smaller increments during PAR (Precision Radar Approaches), but I don't remember now. I'm not sure what Intercept guys do, but I know that all ATC vectors are given in 10 degree increments (rarely 5 degree increments). Wind is in 10 degree increments, and Knots of speed. So, I'd like to see this fixed...or, at least made an option in case they do things different in ICAO...
  24. Yes! They land, rearm, refuel, and takeoff if there's a threat detected...I didn't setup radar or Mainstay, so I think you have to get close enough to the base to be detected...
  25. I've included the mission file in my original post...enjoy...
