  1. OK, I finally seen evidence in Windows 10 that what you described works. Sorry for giving you a hard time. Oculus should put text that indicates that a change has indeed occured. Thanks!
  2. Windows 7 does NOT show distortion, but Windows 10 does...
  3. I've checked frame rates on Win7pro x64 vs Win10pro x64 using the same settings. Win10 is about 1 or two frames slower, but the main difference is that moving visuals distort in Win10. This effect isn't in Win7 at all...
  4. This is what I want to see in DCS...????
  5. Has anyone tried it yet in DCS?
  6. I can do that with the CV1 already!
  7. Screen shots don't show anything. You have to see it in the headset while playing...
  8. I tried the kep combo on Win10, and saw nothing change and no indicator that any changes had occurred. So, I'm skeptical of your claim...
  9. I meant documentation on controls...I already saw the link, but there was no documentation on controlling the ASW...
  10. Do you have any documentation that you could cite for this claim? How about some details, like do you have to be in game when you press these buttons or can you do it before you start you PC? ;)
  11. Then, you'll have to go to Oculus support for help...
  12. After several experiments with using CV1 & Rift S in both Win7 & Win10. It is obvious that DCS performs better in Windows 7. Something about Win10 is dragging performance down the toilet in VR. They're equal on a monitor, but not in VR...
  13. I'm discovering that there's a big difference between how both Oculus headsets perform in Win 7 vs Win10. They both suffer at anything more than the lowest game settings in Win10 with very noticeable video distortion. My Rift S doesn't work at all in Windows 7, but my CV1 has no problem at the highest game settings in Windows 7... smooth frame rates and all. For those who have too much blurriness in CV1, try moving it around your face. It has to sit on the right spot and adjustments maybe necessary...I didn't find Rift S to be that noticeably sharper...
  14. I guess I should say that I have DCS on Max settings when I have these problems. I'm still trying to figure out if certain settings can be reduced to stop the warping.
  15. I had to wipe my drive clean to upgrade, also. But, I have noticable warping in game with both headsets. Fortunately, I still have a disk with Win7, so I'm still able to enjoy DCS warp free...
  16. I started my Oculus Rift CV1 experience in Windows 7 Pro x64. I recently purchased the Rift S and found out that my rig wouldn't run it unless I installed Windows 10. So, I got Windows 10 Pro and Rift S working and played DCS. I was very disappointed that very noticeable visual warping effects are present while flying around. Do a roll and you'll see it at it's worst. I thought it was the Rift S, so I installed my old Rift CV1 and to my surprise the same warping effects occur in the old Rift CV1 also! So, it turns out that Windows 10 Pro may be the culprit and not Oculus. I confirmed this by using my old Windows 7 install on another drive and the warping effect is definitely only occurring in my Windows 10 Pro and not Windows 7 Pro. If anyone can confirm this also, that would be nice...
  17. I'm having issues with the image in Rift S warping a bit. It kind of looks like seeing the world from under water and it gets worse when the image is moving across the screen.
  18. I had to upgrade to Win10 to get my Rift S to work at all...
  19. Just for your information, I just talked to my eye doc and he said that IDP can be different depending on far vision and near vision glasses or bifocals. For example, he said my far IPD is 67.5 and my near vision if 64.5. I hope this clears up everyone's confusion over this subject...;)
  20. How do I eliminate the water effect with my S?
  21. I prefer my old Rift compared to the Rift S.
  22. I believe my eye doc said my IPD was about 65.
  23. I have both the Rift and the Rift S. I just tried DCS with the Rift S and I'm sad to say that I'm not at all impressed. The Rift S brings back the feel of being in a small go cart, instead of a realistic Jet, this is because you can't adjust the IPD mechanically. The DCS IPD adjustment just doesn't make up for the lack of a mechanical adjuster. Another thing is that it makes moving scenes look like you have tears in your eyes. The picture isn't sharp and it looks like everything is melting or your looking through water. The final nail in the coffin is that it isn't really much better resolution than the original Rift. Oh, and lest I forget...the sound is terrible and takes some immersion away form the game...Sorry...
  24. Is anyone having problems with their Oculus headset? I started having problems since it's last update. Now it just tells me that it can't reach Oculus service. I've been on with their support, but no luck so far. I got it running on another hard drive I have, but it won't let me update it. At least it still works, though...
  25. I found out what the problem was about the briefings in the game. They're inaccurate!!! The only accurate briefing is in a pdf file that's in the Gazelle folder. The in game briefing is daft...
