Well I can proudly say that I am a certified Mirage killer now :P Thanks to USSR_Gys71 I now just fight the mirage in the vertical. Looks like the trick is to take the fight to very low altitudes, 100-400 meters. From there I can some what keep a good turning fight with him while pulling on the stick as much as I can withouht droping below 360km/h. Eventualy after about 3 circles the mirage goes up and from there I can use that Su thrust to get close and send some led right up his pipe! And I took Paploo's advice of not being a greedy bastard and took things down a notch and now I just kill the Mirage every time. I think the reason why I was loosing up high is beacuse I would just loose sight of the mirage and I would never know where he is, limiting him to a low altitude I have much better SA and its much easier to send some bullets his way. Thanks for all the advice guys!

All I can say is that I have zero problems taking out the F16 AI (just the fact that its a small target to hit makes it a little tough) but Mirage I just cant... But thanks for all the replies. Ill check out some of these tracks to see what I can learn. Edit- Well I just gave the vertical a try and it sure works, but Im still loose 6/10 times. Now just need to perfect the technique but it sure works.

In canon only head on fight. Fast battle planner. I usualy have no problem killing an birds with AI on excelent, be it F16s, 18s, 15s, F5s F4s... But any time I try to fight the mirage, I just cant get on his six....its like the is guy pulling cobras all the time, I just cant get onto his tail no mater what. Is there a trick? Or the darn Frech AI at Excelent are calibrated to "Godlike" mode?

Yeah. By the time the first DX10 card becomes usefull it will be outdated. Best is to give at least a year for that technology to mature. Then get whatever is the best thing on the block.

Whats the deal with dx 10 cards? It will take a while for DX games that are worth playing to come out. Then the first DX 10 cards will wont be that fast in comparison to the ones released 6 months later when there actually will be dx10 games that are worth your money.

LOMAC not performing well on dual core machines? All dual core is is two processors in one shell. LOMAC, like 95% of other applications simply does not utilize both cores. It works on one of the two cores provided. So its performance is not harmed by the fact that you have two cores. It simply does not use both cores. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Any conroe will perform better then your current 3.4GHz on single core. The new archictecure is simply much faster and more efficient. And GHz of intel conroe is more equivilent to that of AMD isntead of old P4. Just an example, which I know is not correct but just for demonstration sake is: Conroe 1.89 = P4 3.6 But my 1.89 is twice the speed of my P4 3.6 on pi calculations. But I also have faster DDR in comparsion to my P4 rig so proccessor alone does not take the full prize here. But once you get games and applications to actually use both cores then the speed is going to be 4x that of a p4 3.6 hypothetically speaking

No please explain mate. Why this big cover up to be all friendly and such. See the world for how it is and stop trying to cover the nasty realties of life. So what is wrong? What I mean is that I dont see getting an old ukrainian carrier, and getting some Su-33s as a smart move from their side. Nothing more then as someone mentioned "showing off". What is this move going to do for them? If I was China, with all the money that they got. Id develop my own carriers, something new, not an old rusted, "refurbed" platfrom of the Vayrag, and some Su-33s. Develop your own infrasctructure. You have the money, and you have the people. I studied with many Chinese, and they definetly got the brains for calculus. This whole sudden navy build up seems like nothing more then a quick way to show that "we are big"...as I dont see how it has a great impact on the coutries military. They are relying on getting foregin technology when they have the PEOPLE and the MONEY do develop their own. If you think thats great thinking, and not dumb from their side then please argue so. I would like to hear it. Ally like Russia? Please mate, dont start. What is Russia capable of in the grand scheme of things? Not much. So they got nukes...big deal. They cant see 70% of the nukes heading their way. How long have they been fighting in Chechnya? Now look at Chechnya and the all mighty Russian Federation... See the world how it is. NATO owns, US owns nato. Thats the bottom line. Russia is no longer a factor. THeir avaition? Pilots flying few hours a year, and jets crashing all the time... The Chinese got money but not a whole lotta brains. So let them build carriers and buy Su-33s...make them spend their money and have the Americans drop a nuke on them when the right moment strikes... Im not worried :)

Well, 8xAA seemed to completly smooth out the jaggies. There was simply no jaggies at all....simply smooth and seamless. Keep in mind that jaggies are much more visible at wide screen then they are at say 1600x1200.

Yea, 8x would be ideal for me :P My 6600GT had 8x aa :)

I'll do it... Just not today since its 9:14 PM I just woke up and still dont know WTF is going on... but this is very exciting, anything AA must be good :) Edit- Just read that its kinda like adaptive AA, hence better perfomance but at quality loss :(

Hey, I dunno about you guys but I like to show off LOMAC to friends when they come over...and I gotta tell you, everyone loves it before they sit down and realized its not crimson skies as far as flight and fight goes :lol: But the problem is that with FC half the replays dont work in the first place, and the other ones arent that great except for the A-10 CAS one. So anyone have any links to any good replays, for show off purposes?

Well game smoothnes and load times will be affected by multiple drives and such, but as far as FPS go, no, in all my tests at least ;)

Well chipset drivers are crucial these days...optimization with each release. Hence its a good idea to check the intel site now and then to get the latest intel drivers, or nforce, or via, depending which board you run, but if you run a via your in the wrong game :P

6700 is just right for your rig. Youd get about 7000 if your conroe was running at 3.4GHz. But you cant get 8000 unless its two cards. Single GPU, x1900 series with a Conroe at 3GHz your score is just right. ;)
