Check what frequency PCI-E is running at in bios. 74 seems ok for stock cooler under load. You have your motherboard chipset drivers installed? I guess your best bet is to get 6.10 betas and see how that goes. Make sure you have the latest chipset drivers installed though.

Well I do not have a hotas setup. What I do have is a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. Its a premium stick back it in its day, it served me a long time and its the most solid controller I had. However it would be nice to have a throttle with some buttons as a seperate unit as I dont see the sense in buying an X-52 just to use the throttle. So are there any standalone throttles for people who already have a stick they are happy with? For a reasonable price...If its 150$ I just might aswel get an X-52. Thanks in advance.

Oops looks like you guys are doing somethig else here. Well by default windows assigns everything to run on core 0. So the best would be to set teh lockon.exe affinity to core 1 since nothi9ng else runs there.

Guys its regardles, unless the program/game is coded to run two cores it simply wont. I tried it with other games. GTR 2 just now. I assigned the exe to use both cores in the task manager, only to get an uneven load on both cores, and overall CPU usage of 50-60% suggesting that it simply makes both CPUs into one. I was running the game in windowed mode to see the loades are in real time. The game needs to be programed to divide its load across both cores. For example physics on one, graphics on othe other. What task manager does, I assume is simply combine the 3ghz conroe into 6ghz. Making one core 6ghz processor which probably doesnt get full useanyway because other components are bottlenecking long before 6ghz. Same with lomac, both cores assigned CPU usage 50-60% with a mission in the background.

Good driver, funny story though. I was messing about with installing Audigy 4 applications on my audigy 2. So here I am tweaking, so I go on the creative site and see the new driver, I was on the site few hours ago and that driver wasnt there. I think I was one of the first people to get the thing :P

I could OC my card some more, and squeeze some juice out of the GPU for maybe 100 points, and put the mip map quality in the drivers to perfomance but this is what I get on my full time 24/7 OC across the board.

I have to say a lot of race simmers are also flight simmers and vice versa. One we try to keep on the ground, one in the air. Is it just me or this is more common then it appears? Personaly, I started with flight sims in grade 1, didnt know what I was doing, but was facinated with the whole deal, and did manage get some flying done. Mind you I wouldnt be able to say what I played back then if my life depended on it. Then I heavily got into race sims at around the age 12. And been doing that to this day. However the last 3 years I made a comeback to flight simming. My time is about 60% race, 40% Flight. Anyone else sim racing here too?

Sorry but how do they look dated? I think they look spectacular, sure the ground textures aint that great, but as far as models, detail, lighting, shading goes it looks great.
