  1. Under constant heavy load/burn-in tests it hoovers around 50-52C. Was about 10-14 degrees hotter with the stock heatsink. But it was still stable at 60+.
  2. I did that with a E6300 ;) I had the stock intel cooler at first but then I went with an Arctic Cooling 7. This is an old pic http://www.is-mad.com/upload/userfiles/SFDMALEX/E6300_at_430fsb.JPG I actually run at 435 24/7, dead stable.
  3. Actually I was talking about the times prior to the fall of the union, even then their safety record was not good.
  4. I dunno man, from what I know, which is not a lot, Russians constantly had problems with safety of their subs. A while back read a bunch of documents on the many problems that they had, crews lost etc. Especialy the nuclear subs...That was a while back, dont remember where I go the info. But as far as I know safety of Russians subs has been nothing to brag about.
  5. So what about that new Silent Hunter? Anyone got any new info :P
  6. 900 but how many trully capable? Thats the thing. The misconception is that having many is better then having few advanced aircraft. Besides, you can have 900 frames, but do you have enough new/advanced weapons to equip all of these frames.
  7. Thats the very problem. The mods are scatered all over different websites. Some on lockonskins some on lockonfiles etc. The idea is to keep a single locked thread database were there can be a post per mod, consnatly updated with with new mod revisions etc. Right now the mods are scatered. If someone new to lockon comes out they will not know what is out. Even I am confused even though I try to stay on top. IMO the ideal thing is to keep one locked thread, with a post for every mod out and the links to the download. And by mod I mean a real mod, like the Navy mod, weapons mod etc. Not single skins or some runway lights. More like a thread for all the bigger releases. Just suggesting :smilewink:
  8. Good idea. Because we really do not have a MOD database, with links pictures and descriptions. One thread with all that is what we need. Closesly moded to remove any chit chat aswel ;)
  9. Arent there arelady some bombing ranges in LOMAC? I swear I saw pictures. But I could never find them :(
  10. The model is indeed amazing. Su-25T and this side by side look awesome ;) BTW has anyone noticed how damn similar F15 and the Mig25 look or is it just me
  11. Thanks mate :)
  12. Guys I'm tottaly lost as to what is the latest version and where it can be downloaded from :(
  13. Oh yea? Never knew about that.
  14. In any flight sim for me its flight first. As far as LOMAC at FC stage I choose combat.
  15. Uh for games alone, if you are going to put the monitors about 12 inches from your face 24" max. I have 21 and at 12 inches from my face it already fills up the field of view. 24 would be ideal. Anything north of 24" Id expect to have use as movies also. But just for gaming 24" is more then enough. IMO ;)
  16. What about that Mig? That musta been cool.
  17. The video is about an hour, have it stored on my drive... Edit- its 48min 27 sec.
  18. Holy shi+, great list. Nice to see real pilots in the sim scene, always brings a smile to my face :) Now I bet this question is like picking the favourite child but which flight left the biggest grin on your face?
  19. Roger, makes a lot more sense now. Now I really want an AFM fighter :P
  20. Well I didnt look at it that way. I mean pure "feel" of flying an AFM Mig-29. How much different would it feel at combat speeds just moving the thing around.
  21. Now that you bring it up, the few onboard videos I have, like that Red Flag one they cockpits do shake quite a bit during high G manuvers, but how big an effect would that be over a computer screen. I mean does the shaking really hinder the way the plane moves or its more of a stress on the pilot, like the Gs we cant feel?
  22. I just wonder how much different AFM would feel on a 29 27 or 15. I mean those are very fast, on the rails jets. Su-25s and A-10s are a very different creature were you can feel a lot of the plane. Now I dont see how some uber flight model for a Mig-29 would make it feel much different. Unless we are talking landings and near stall speeds, I personaly dont think they should feel much different at combat speeds then they already do. Or maybe Im wrong.
  23. I use a microsoft sidewinder force feedback 2. Its a lovely stick, but not enough buttons so I was considering the X-52. Is it worth it the change? Keep in mind new that M$ stick was premium stuff.
  24. Well one thing tells me is that fact that they have something like 300 29s in stock. So spare parts would not be a problem for quite a while. They only have 67 or so Su-27s in total. Ukraine has worked on migs since the fall of the union, upgrading them, and repairing them for various air forces, I dont believe they have such capability for the Su-27s. So they can sustain their Mig fleet by on their own pretty much. Besides they have their own precision guided bombs and medium range missles, and radar which I believe theyll have an easier time fixing on the mig. Having the ability to do the upgrade at home is also 10x cheaper then sending Su-27 to Russia. Besides an upgraded mig-29 is an ideal defence aircraft. Su-27 is the bigger plane with the bigger radar, with more weapons as if something of an invasion force machine. Ukraine just wants protection if its own air space, and having some migs stationed all over the country is ideal. The hummers are only used in Kosovo, I believe they were given by the US as a form of aid.
  25. I like to do a 180 and run dropping flares. :P
