  1. It grows..

  4. jay..never was really interested in the F-86..but for 11,- €...just bought:thumbup:
  5. Nevermind..the actual DCS Engine is based on LockOn from 2004..o.k. it got some tweaks..but there is not much more that can be done...so no comparison to IL2...but EDGE will change some things:thumbup:
  6. Jo keine Ahnung..er meldet sich ja nicht mehr:)
  7. most impact will have SweetFX and a decent Terrain Mod like the ones from Foxbeard, Rocky or Toby/PeterP..ah and Mustangs HDR Mod does also a great Job..So DCS and the modding community give a lot of room for improvement..
  9. the coolest thing about this draw is..it clearly shows how friendly the DCS Community is...cheers to all of you guys!!
  10. na looks like you get your key:)
  11. The hardest Part is to imagine who does not own FC3 but anyway - JST (he is going to do a very cool Dora Skin I requested..thx again:thumbup:) - Skulleader who is easily one of the nicest guys around here. - The_Fragger who fights hard to bring us the BO-105:joystick: EDIT: and Devrim..very nice move here! EDIT2: ha..sorry ThorBrasil..no vote from me, but you have enough I guess:D
  12. you want 1 Mod that adds a new country and several new planes..very sporty my friend:)
  13. this update just deals with the Mig-21
  14. sarcasm..you know..I am surely not the only one flying the Huey and the Mi-8 quite well with just a twist stick..
  15. don`t get me wrong...I do not say rudder pedals are not necessary..absolutly not! It is a matter of taste and money..I just say..I (!) have no problems flying a Helo with the twist stick! And for the WW2 Birds..yes you are right..flying straight with a twist stick can be painfull..but you can do it:)
  16. I fly all DCS Helos with a twist stick..absolutly no problems here..but there are a few people saying flying DCS Helos without pedals is nearly impossible..:):joystick:
  17. o.k. thanks!
  18. o.k. so the AI Mustang is a bit "overpowered"..that might explain my AI Furball Dora desaster:) And I am able to win a dogfight against the P-51..it just takes very long..and even if I pumped most of my ammo into the Mustang and it smokes like an old lokomotive..it still climbs and turns like crazy..
  19. uhm Thank you!..But I did not understand a single word...a bit too technical for my brain:D...but I guess it means..the performance data of the P-51 is not that realistic?!:)
  20. I mostly not try to outturn the Mustang..I rely more on that energy fighting thing and try to climb away and dive back down (The Jojo thing:))...but the Mustang just climbs like crazy..I stall the Dory way before I am in a good shooting position...But I guess my whole energy management is jut not good enough:music_whistling: Anyway thanks for the reply..I`ll keep practising:joystick::thumbup:
  21. After playing around with the Dora quite a while I still have a very hard time Dogfighting the Mustang...o.k. maybe I am just a shitty Dogfighter, but it seems the Mustang outturns and outclimbs me easily..even with engaged supercharger?! It also needs a LOT of Hits to shoot the P-51 down..this Bird really can take damage.. For fun I created an AI Furball..8 FW-190 vs 8 P-51...all set to exellent....everytime I watch this it goes 8:0 for the P-51..so all Doras shot down..the P-51s nearly no scratches... Was the P-51D really so far superior?!
  22. I guess you should look in the SweetFX_Settings.txt..at the bottom: /*-----------------------------------------------------------. / Key settings / '-----------------------------------------------------------*/ // This is the section where you can define your own key mapping // See the following URL to find out what keycode a key has: // http://www.cambiaresearch.com/articles/15/javascript-char-codes-key-codes // key_toggle_sweetfx = 45 ; 45 = Einfg // key_screenshot = 35 ; 35 = Ende-> // key_reload_sweetfx = 46 ; 46 = Entf (I have a german keyboard)
  23. yes it is, nothing was changed at the Cockpit Textures..but don`t forget the mods\aircrafts - mods\aircraft issue:)
  24. I guess we all got shot down almost every time we started flying the Shark..It is really not easy and takes time...your problem is most likely that you fly blindly in enemy Territorry at fairly high altitude and get too close..so..stay low..use cover..open your eyes (smoke trails from enemy IR missiles)..allways scan the surrounding for Targets..or like Yurgon said..send your Wingman to RECCE..and if Betty says "warning" turn away instantly, take cover (hills, buildings, etc) and restart your attack. What really needs training is spotting the targets, because in DCS groundtargets are sometimes very hard to see..especially if you use a high res terrain mod. So you could turn on lables at first to get a feeling for it.
  25. Screenshot is taken with "print screen"..then found in "...\saved Games\DCS World\Screenshots
