As long as the Dora behaves realistic I don`t care how hard it is to master this baby.. I mean it is a simulator..

I am sure it is, but in DCS you have no small Bugfix updates..there are only "Major updates" from ED..so BST can`t do much, but wait for the next ED update. But you know..the fact that the Guys (ED, BST,...) release BETA Modules that remain in BETA stage nearly forever with bugs come and go is a common DCS "problem":music_whistling:

Sounds very good and looks awesome so far! We all know how bitchin it may have to be to do an Aircraft alone..but hey..if you really manage to release it..you gonna be a Hero..:) Maybe some kind of FC3 Standard at first..with room for further improvement..klickable 6DOF..PFM..:thumbup:

The Deployment Campaign is really good..russian or not fly it! But beware it becomes really tough later on:) The Oil War Campaingn ist more like a shooting Range without a real story

the best way would be you post a track..bcause it is hard to imagine what is worng. But the fact that you manage 70% of take offs tells that you understand the general idea. I guess it is mostly a too extreme use of the rudder..keep in mind..if you are slow the rudder is weak..the faster you go the stronger becomes the rudder (especially after releasing the tail wheel!)..so if you do a take off your rudder inputs have to be more and more gently:)

DO NOT lock the Tailwheel to early, because if you start rolling the airflow is weak and the rudders will not respond much...the rudders then have a hard time fighting the locked wheel..

yap just practise a bit..the hardest part is adding the right amount of rudder..mostly you will tend to use too much or react too late..so just treat her like a lady..gently and with feeling:) I added a track...just a quick take off and landing...not really perfect but u will get the idea (Controls Indicator is "rCtrl" and "Enter") Dora.trk

how about posting a track from your take off..so we can take a close look what goes wrong. Take off with the Dora is tricky for sure it needs practise..but hey you can manage it, and it does not take that long. Basic - line up on the runway - slowly increase the Throttle and let her roll (correct gently with the rudders - if you roll controlled at the right direction lock the tail wheel (Stick full back)..further increase the Throttle - at round about 170 kph let her come (release the stick gently) - allways correct slightly (!!!) with the rudders - DO NOT pull her up to early!! This will end up in a stall and crash.. just increase speed (full throttle) and let her fly herself! reads simple but needs practise

Dude..you should calm down and read through the posts again..ED did not want to fool VP..they just started to develop the MP Cockpit stuff an had (unfortunatley for VP) a semi developed L-39..which is a dual seater...and perfect for their needs..but o.k. no doubt this is really unfortunate for the VP Guys. This is business..and not sweetie-land...

yay..it is all about the MP Cockpits the community screamed for..and ED recently remembered their long ago started L-39...so take that shortcut..business wise a smart move..sad vor VPJT

After reading through all the Posts I can understand both sides..at least somehow..but one thing really doesn`t come to my mind...VP worked 2 years on the L-39..and was informed 2 weeks ago (as said by Wags) about the ED L-39..Wags said ED planned this aircraft quite a while ago and put it on hold..so why the hell back in the day VP conntacted ED and said "Hey guys we want to do a 3rd party L-39"..why did ED not say "o.k. Guys..good luck...but you should know we have our own L-39 in the queue and plan to realease it someday?!?!" I am dead confused:(

me too..it reads like ED wants 3rd Party devs to show up with a nearly finished module to get the contract?! This will most likely kill all future 3rd party devs...I mean who puts all the time and money into a product and does not know whether ED approves?!:huh:

Developing a module for DCS takes loads of time, heart and money..and of course you are right ED is the Boss in the Ring..but things like this could really make some 3rd party devs think twice whether to develop a module or not. And come on..any new module is beneficial..not just for the devs and the community..even ED has benefits..new modules..new customers..new crowd for other (ED) modules..etc..as I said..I guess this was all one big communication error..lessons will be learned..hopefully

this is really an unfortunate Situation..and right, we don`t know much, but it seems like ED and VP never talked to each other..this communication between ED and 3rd party devs should really be worked on..

o.k. then. I am not speaking russian either..I just like the cyrilic layout better on the russian planes..I mean the FC3 planes do not have clickable cockpits so I do not really have to understand all the stuff:) But your pits look so good I just go with the english layout..Thanks again Sir!!:thumbup:

DCS is based on Lock On...which was made in 2003...ED then fortunately put all their energy in DCS and the modules in first place...but there is good news just wait for Edge (a few weeks) and the new maps..and all will be fine:)

If you refer to my screenshots don`t get confused..this are just my SweetFX Settings..i like it pretty meaty and dark:)

just compare the files with a tool like examdiff..you will see the differences...there are just a few. So you can decide yourself wich files to use..Mustang`s or PeterP`s..just a matter of taste:)

These Pit Mods just replace textures..so no effect on any lights

Awesome! Thanks a lot...just one little tiny thing...I guess it would be better to release you mod without Devrims work so everybody can decide whether to have an english cockpit or not. If somebody want`s the english pit he can easily download Devrims awesome mod anyway...but you know..just my 2 cents...:) EDIT: I just tried to separate the Files myself, but was not very lucky. The dashboard looks like being linked to a File with gauges in it or something. I do not have Photoshop or other paint tools so I just can view the Files with Irfanview, and that seems like not showing all of the content?! So I have a green pit with the default blue dashboard. So it seems like you can not use this mod without the english version of the pit:huh::)?!
