  1. When we started working with B-1's, we had to add locking rods to our bookshelves with all the T.O.'s in them. They would literally vibrate the books out of the shelf with AB takeoffs. IIRC correctly, we were about 400' from centerline.
  2. I remember trying to destroy one in a mission you created back during the Firehouse beta period, took 2 trips because I only brought 2 to begin with. :music_whistling:
  3. 12 years on flightlines with F-4's, F16's, F15's, and especially B-1's, tell me that there is a perceptible difference in the loudness. According to the Navy, the F15 has 144 db in Mil power and 149 db in afterburner. For acoustics, 10 db is the doubling factor, so the F15 is half again as loud in afterburner. Chart from document below: http://www.nrac.navy.mil/docs/2009_FINAL_Jet_Noise_Report_4-26-09.pdf
  4. Hmmm, I thought it just wasn't recording individual aircraft times. Mine keeps the total times updated at least. Logbook is in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\MissionEditor\logbook.lua
  5. 6 different Windows 8 codes sent to a gmail address. And several Media Center add-ons also delivered that way.
  6. Not sure if the mission end is when you exit or when the wheels touch. Another option is since the total times in the logbook do work, you could always check it before and after the flight for what it records.
  7. Believe the time values are in seconds, so (58315.506 - 57927.54 = 387.966) / 60 = 6.4661 minutes.
  8. If you use the render test function in GPU-Z does it ramp up? Oh, and what type of card, OS, etc...
  9. Kickstarter is an investment, and just like any investment has risks. At this point, if ED had not picked up the project, we would be left with nothing. As far as I can tell, they have no obligation to fulfill promises made by another company. I'm just glad they are following through on what they can and look forward to what they offer.
  10. Honestly I'm not even sure what I'm entitled to with the mix up of matrix vs original pledge vs new backer levels, etc. At minimum I should get a manual of choice and all flyables. At most a manual, tee shirt, alpha access, and all flyables. All I really want is just the flyables, alpha access if it's ever available, and we call it even. IMO ED should not be on the hook for anything more than that even if it was promised by what I consider a failed Kickstarter campaign. If ED had not picked up the ball for all of us, we would be left with nothing.
  11. I think it was going to be painful period. There's just a lot of ambiguity in the updates when you read from one the next. Best of luck and I'm really glad that ED stepped up to make this happen.
  12. A mess this will be for sure, I feel sorry for you having to figure it out. I remember when the reward levels were being changed it was stated that if you had selected a previous level, and it changed, you would receive all the rewards for that given level, but only if you had selected that level before the change. It was really confusing even after the matrix was published.
  13. Thanks for the update Wags!! :drink:
  14. Looks like a CBU-97, with that sight picture, CCIP would be my delivery method. Or as Javelina1 pointed go, go gun crazy on that sucker.
  15. Yea, I guess I worded it a little wrong, should have said it may cause the bios to not recognize the devices.
  16. Need to be careful with disabling Legacy USB Support on some motherboards, it will cause the bios to not recognize your usb keyboard and mouse. You won't be able to get back into the bios during booting without a PS2 keyboard or resetting the bios defaults.

    Volume control

I'm not sure what exactly each slider affects but I'm using the following settings and it seems to work well. Have no trouble hearing Teamspeak over the other sounds.
  18. After having lost my control setups several times I decided to make something to track them by aircraft. I wound up making an Excel sheet you can populate the controls in and then print out the control layout. To use simply fill out the the sim name in cell B1, control name in columns C and D next to the programmed button, and it will populate them on the stick and throttle graphics to the right. Select print and it will print 2 sheets in landscape, one for the stick and one for the throttle with the assignments filled in. It also includes the DX button numbers for each switch in column A and next to it on the printout. Download here
  19. Another increase would be awesome!
  20. I believe that when a texture is put in /TempTextures it overrides the file with the same name in the .zip file. /TempTextures is searched first basically, and if found there, it uses that file.
  21. Only have the one in C:\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Bazar\World\textures\texturesbmp_weapons.zip
  22. I put missions and campaigns in C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Missions\ and C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Missions\Campaigns\. But they should have ran from where you placed them I think.
  23. Thanks!
  24. Frostie, would the "Bin" entry prevent users with SweetFX from connecting? Everything it installs goes in the Bin directory.
  25. I did them both too, funny thing is that PayPal required everything to be reset, including email addresses etc. Now it's sending me emails like it's a brand new account. Weird.
