  1. I'm sure ED is going to still sell DLC through Steam, but that's just my opinion. I thought I read somewhere that the F-86 would be on Steam sometime in August, but don't remember if there was an exact date. For the other part, you can use keys purchased in Steam and activate them on the standalone version from ED. It just won't work the other way.
  2. Noticed it wouldn't quit also, tried turning down the knob on the upper left by the safe release button and didn't work. Think it's still a WIP, even after you land and shut down the plane completely it is still growling. I have yet them to track anything, even transports. :joystick: Edit: Actually did get the volume knob to work, it's on the upper left next to red button. I turned it all the way down, so it's pointing up, before selecting the missile, then it could turn it up/down with that knob.
  3. After you select them and get the launch tone, press the trigger, for whatever reason, weapon release does not fire them, the trigger does. I've had no luck hitting anything with them. :joystick:
  4. FWIW, HD 7870 and do not see this issue. Catalyst 14.6 RC driver version.
  5. Nose Gear Graphical Bug Nose gear appears canted to the right when going straight while taxiing.
  6. Was this on a ramp start by chance? You have the press the Home key twice to start this beast. Once when it's at 3%, and another time when it's at 6%, then it will idle at around 30%.
  7. Yep, Steam purchased keys will work in standalone DCS World, keys purchased through ED website will not work on the Steam version.
  8. Mustang posted that any version of the Clouds and Sky prior to 5.33 will cause a close to desktop, if you were using that mod.
  9. Ran a quick 30 minute mission with 1.2.9 and V5.33, looks great and didn't see any abnormalities. Thanks again for all the work Mustang!
  10. DCS only uses 2 cores on the CPU, one for sounds and the other for everything else. Check the individual core usage and you should see one pretty much maxed and another running high. AMD GPU's have always taken a beating compared to Nvidia in DCS World. The drivers from 14.4 and after actually helped out quite a bit also. So you should be good there. Check this affinity thread out and see if it helps a little. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=118535&highlight=core+affinity This is older, but I still use it to check out driver releases just look at the FPS when the first aircraft is about to enter the runway. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=108231
  11. This is what I use. Can put custom images as you need etc... It does not work properly with the FC3 aircraft it appears, the kneeboard jumps around, but use it in the A-10C, Huey, P-51, with no problems. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=107586&highlight=peterp+kneeboard
  12. Is it just me or it looks like the display drivers from Intel for the 4670 are not installed?
  13. Save a track and upload it, then it can be seen what is happening and better help can be provided. The Save Track button is on the debriefing screen. Edit: Sniped again.
  14. Sorry, hoped it was going to be a quick fix. :joystick:
  15. Not sure if it's the problem but it should be Tacviewlfs.writedir, looks like there is a space in that word, Tacviewlfs.writed ir, in your Export.lua string.
  16. Hmmm, sounds like you covered most all the bases, probably except for the one that's causing the issue. :joystick: Looks like you re-installed the game too from the first post.
  17. Try moving your C:\Users\yourusername\Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\ folder somewhere else, as a backup, and delete the original folder. This should cause the sim to recreate the directory and default control files when you start it. Then go through and set up your controls in options as normal. If you upgraded from an older DCS version to the newest one recently, the input control file configuration has changed and it is not backwards compatible with the older xxxx.lua config files. The new ones are xxxx.diff.lua files.
  18. Also it was reported in the last beta so it's on a bug list, somewhere.
  19. Congrats! Thanks to VEAO for the contest!
  20. They are 4 way hat switches on the controller but can be identified by individual buttons also. Long/Short refers to the amount of time you press the given switch. Short is press and release, Long is press, hold, release. Honestly not sure about the exact timing's but about a second is good for Long. For a brief overview of what each does in a graphical format, there's this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69610
  21. Nope, never even saw it actually. Have to give it a whirl later.
  22. It's been a long while since I used that stick, but IIRC I was using a curve on the x & y of 20. I also used the first 3 buttons on the side of the throttle as modifiers so the hat could be used as TMS, CMS, DMS, and Trim in the A-10C. That also allowed the other buttons on the stick to each have 4 functions (so 16 commands total) assigned to them. It was a little crazy remembering them at first but after a while it became second nature.
  23. The copy from one drive to another and updating the shortcuts works really well. I keep both the regular and beta version installed but only keep the one I'm currently using on my SSD. The other version stays on my raid HD. When a new beta is released I swap them around to fly the beta. Do the same thing with games on Steam I'm not currently playing or have finished but still have them around for the future.
  24. Might be able to copy folders and files from C:/user/yourusername/Saved Games/DCS to C:/user/yourusername/Saved Games/DCS.openbeta and move everything over.
  25. Awesome and many thanks Wags! Sith you must have the patience of a daycare worker. Great job.
