  1. Yep, but it makes it easy to see graphically. Just curious if master.eagle.ru or digitalcombatsimulator.com is being resolved to an IP or dying before it ever gets started.
  2. Did you ever try using PingPlotter to see where it is dying off at?
  3. You can manage everything you mentioned except for the cockpit views. I se that mod and if I want to turn it off I just rename the files the server.bak and SnapViews.bak and it won't load them. Within the directory that you have made JSGME keep your mods in (_Mods) you can name the first directory level whatever you want. That will show as the name of the mod in JSGME. The next directory level down will be what is installed in /DCS World. So those directories need to match DCS exactly. Here's what my JSGME _Mods folder structure looks like for SweetFX:
  4. I didn't, but I kept the copies of the files that the mod replaced so I could just put them back. Think I moved everything to JSGME with a fresh install when 1.2.7 was out.
  5. Could always try a repair, not sure if it will work or not. SweetFX is the only one from your list that does not modify files already in DCS World.
  6. Pretty neat mod, like the way it looks. Repackaged it in JSGME if you want/need it.
  7. You can use PingPlotter to see where it is dying off at. Also try putting 87.98.182.202 in your browser address window, if it comes up that way, something is wrong with your DNS settings on the PC.
  8. I have 3 JSGME installs and mods on my D drive for 3 different sims. The way to do it is using Symbolic Links for the _Mods folder. Basically set up is as follows: Follow the instructions in the first post, except when you get to step 4, create the _Mods folder in the D folder that you have JSGME installed to. (I'm going to use D:\DCS_JSGME as an example). Follow the instructions for creating a symbolic link from D:\DCS_JSGME\_Mods to C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\ This will create what looks like an _Mods directory in the DCS World folder. This will make the PC think the _Mods is in the DCS directory when in reality all the files are stored on the D drive under the D:\DCS_JSGME\_Mods directory. Follow the rest of post 1's directions to complete the install. Whenever you download and store a mod, you will put the files in D:\DCS_JSGME\_Mods. Everything else works just like before. Hope this helps.
  9. Did you change the #define USE_SPLITSCREEN 0 in both file locations? (If you have it applied there will be a copy in x:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin and also one in the JSGME folder you store the mods in). Reason is, I've changed one before and not the other and it was puzzling.
  10. Don't know what they actually changed, but my GPU usage went from around 60-65 to 95+. Guess it's doing a lot more work.
  11. For the master server it's the username/password for the DCS website, same one you use for buying stuff on the site.
  12. I believe the only setting required on the server is that script exporting is allowed. Never set up a server so not really sure about that.
  13. I use 3.0.12 Teamspeak with 1.0.2.4 TARS and and haven't had any server issues, yet.
  14. I just have the zip in there, running 1.2.8 and no issues. I recommend that you learn to use JSGME as it makes everything so much easier and you can readily back out mods that don't work or you don't like. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=98607
  15. Think you are right that it is hard coded. Use a different keybind in FRAPS and not the one in DCS should solve it.
  16. I was trying to find an old thread but can't remember what it was or who posted it. They had made a TE with square columns of 10 x 10 or 15 x 15 non-moving tanks and dropped different ordinance to see the effect. A single CBU only achieved 2 kills IIRC.
  17. That is quite strange. Mine works with/without SweetFx. Might be related to the FPS issues but don't know why.
  18. I've had this in my autoexec.cfg and it works great. I keep at 30 normally but raise it to 120 for testing and it works fine. options.graphics.maxfps = 30
  19. Apologies, yep, spoke too soon. (Test first/answer later) Was testing and whether or not LSASS is blocked at firewall level in Windows, and also on external app firewall, was able to login and connect to the master server.
  20. As safe as everyone else in the world using Windows default firewall. If you use an alternate software or hardware firewall it will probably be blocked by default and your login would not work. You are usually safe with outbound only rules, the firewall should only allow connections on that service that are originated from your computer. If an unsolicited connection attempts to come in and there is no inbound rule, it is denied. (As long as your firewall is set to block inbound connections that do not match an inbound rule). Which it is in windows by default. Malware that takes advantage of this outbound rule could be installed in a different way and then use your outbound rule against you to do further damage.
  21. Look for Core Networking - Group Policy (LSASS-Out) in the Outbound Rules, it should not be listed in the Inbound Rules. This prevents it from accepting random inbound connections that were not requested from the PC.
  22. Maybe try a line test like http://www.pingtest.net/ to see if you are dropping packets or have bad jitter might help. Edit: or not, your other posts just came in.
  23. The control is Emergency Flood in the Electrical Panel settings. I used to have it bound to my stick shift button and L. Then I put NVG's on my stick and don't need it anymore. Hope you enjoy the night flight, the first one I did really got me hooked, incredible how good it looks at night.
  24. It's the decimal equivalent of 16:9, just how it's shown now. 16 / 9 = 1.7777777777777777777777777777778
