  1. You certainly don't need a GTX 1080 to run a 1080 monitor. A GTX 1070 can run 3 of those. Upgrade the video card for one generation is useless. As Koriel said, who suggests a GTX 1080 without knowing the resolution used?
  2. A GTX 1070 can easily run 1440: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-gpus,4380.html Your power supply get old (7 years), notably a bronze certification who generate more heat. The electrolytic capacitors degrade over time by the heat. Not heavily used? Good, he's probably good for several years (it's a tier 2).

  4. You will not benefit of the power of the new video card, because of your poor CPU. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html
  5. What is your resolution? Maybe a GTX1070 is enough for you. You have plenty of power (Corsair TX750w) even for SLI. How old is your Corsair? http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm
  6. Agree with Bit, voltage cause more damage than temperature. More Vcore will increase electro-migration and so decrease the life-span of your CPU.
  7. Peut-être que tu peux enlever la SSD de la boite (Samsung T3), et trouver une boite qui a une inteface eSATA.
  8. I agree with cichlidfan. My new Ram 1500 is guaranteed for only 3-5 years.
  9. More like this one? :punch:
  10. Please, block the fans. A fan is made to run at his speed, not play music for fun. You will burn the bearings. I'm worst than that.... I'm single. :smilewink:
  11. En effet -Le e-SATA est la solution mais le Samsung T3 n'a pas de e-SATA. Trouve une autre boite. -Ou, la SSD est toute petite et chauffe très peut (pas besoin de fan), tu peux la crisser n'importe ou.
  12. Hyper threading is useless for DCS (gaming), get a i5 7600K. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=186161
  13. The Kraken's radiator is thicker, the fans are less noisy (1800rpm and less). But Bit knows about water stuff... Be sure it fits in your case.
  14. The ingame video settings are always priority.
  15. First, get a better CPU cooler and crank it to 4.7-4.8Ghz. Much cheaper than to buy a new trio or duo (CPU, Mobo, RAM).
  16. 8 lanes is plenty for any GPU on either 3.0 or 2.0 slot.
  17. The CPU utilisation is at 25% because the game uses one of the 4 cores. The CPU is used for the AI, and the ASW of Oculus. It looks like DCS is not optimized for CV1... Maybe you need to lower some video settings to get +90 FPS, to prevent the activation of the ASW. But you already tried that.. i7 4790K to i7 7700K? The performance gain will be very small.
  18. No. It's not worst the money. The i7 4790K is excellent. I still run my i7 3770K at 4.4Ghz. If you have money to lose... What is your resolution? Video card? HOTAS? Pedals? Monitor? Your truck?
  19. 4.4Ghz to 4.5Ghz? I'm afraid that you will see no difference. That's not worth the effort. Try the game (at 4.4GHz) and see how it goes. Below 1.3v (with "medium end" air cooler) is safe for every day use. Stay below 1.35v. Stock voltage at 4.4Ghz is around 1.2v. I run Prime95 (8-12 hrs min.) for stability when I overclock. I always overclock the CPU by the mobo bios. No. Install CPUID HWMonitor, and monitor your stuff. Vcore, Core clocks, wattage, etc.
  20. My dream system? The monitor: The power supply: The keyboard: The SSD: The gaming keypad: And the wireless system:
