This is a landing at kobuleti, with the same needle offset. (apologies for usual crap flying). Kobuleti landing .trk

Landingat Batumi is attached (i think)... apologiesfor overlong track and crap flying. The deflected needle is the one that ‘hangs down’ from the top of the ADI and sweeps left/right across the face of the ADI. Sorry if I called it vertical and it should be called horizontal. The needle ‘offset’ on this landing occurs on all the airfields I’ve tried. I've watched numerous youtube ILS tutorials where the needle shows no appreciable offset. Please help (I’m pretty sure I’m doing something wrong but I can’t see what). Batumi landing .trk

Sorry I should have said... When lined up on the runway on final approach the ils vertical needle is always offset to the right.

I am proceeding with A-10C learning, but have a problem withILS The vertical needle is always offset to the right. Horizontal ok HSI always points slightly right as well. I am prepping tracks for upload, but I wondered if there isan obvious problem before uploading. Please help :)

Thanks Ed and thanks for quick reply.

I've just tried a fly past of Carl Vinson. Yummy. are there tower frequencies and TACN for Carl Vinson? I couldn't find any in the editor. Please. :-)

Thanks for prompt response and advice. Definitely take it on board. I guess I was being overly hopeful with dumb bombs. :pilotfly:

Have attached demo tape. Ironically hit the target this time. But.. first run all bombs fell long. second run (from virtual reciprocal heading) mostly short. (this is the first time I've uploaded a track - hope it works.) :-) demo tape.trk

Somethings I can't figure out. Do the two lines in CCRP have to line up with the SPI orjust lined up with one another and the control computer does the rest? My bombs consistently fall long, is there a common mistake I’m making? please

Thanks V much:thumbup: -
That would be my guess, too. But as I said i'm not fussed about not having FF. Thanks for reply.

I have retried FF i.e. by setting it to a non-zero value but the joystick shows no FF response. As I was not looking for FF and it was only a cheap jstick i'm quite happy. :) My plan was to use the cheap jstick to continue playing, getting used to the game again etc, then spend out on a stick throttle and pedals suite. Again thanks for all the advice. :)

Thanks everyone for your advice. On a hunch, I uninstalled the 'driver' that came with the joystick, all works fine now. Have not yet retried the FF, I will apprise the outcome at a later date. Once again thanks for advice and help DCS is the greatest. :joystick::pilotfly::)

Have tried all you suggested. recalibrated the joystick. reduced FF to 0 trimmer and shake reassigned axes. still same problem. It's as if the central position of the cockpit control column simply doesn't match the central position of the real world joystick. F-15C, mustang and frogfoot all work beautifully. it's very disappointing.:joystick::( am desperate, any suggestions?

Thanks for your advice. :book: I’m not sure what you mean by ‘map'. Do you mean make the changes to the controls list? Or is there some other process that I’ve not gone through? If it is simply redoing the controls list then I will certainly try to re-do the controls list. Should I reset their values to the default first? I think I will try to recalibrate the joystick as when I first installed it as well. I should point out that this is a dirt cheap joystick. It’s only got three axes and eight buttons. It does have force feedback, which operates on the mustang and the frogfoot, but not on the F-15C or the A-10C (don’t know if that helps any). It looks identical to the old Microsoft joystick I had years ago. ps despite this hiccup, the simulator is awesome. Kind regards colubridae :joystick:

roger that I will disable all joystick buttons.

I'm not sure how to create a video. I've saved a track of the control column as seen from inside the cockpit. Can I attach that and will it do? I emphasize that the joystick very well with mustang, frogfoot and F-15. Thanks for your help :joystick:
-
Thanks for reply. attached is copy of controls as you requested. I emphasize that the joystick works perfectly well on mustang frogfoot an F-15. it almost works on A-10C, just a continuous drift of pitch up. If I fight the pitch up the plane is 'flyable' but only just. combat is virtually impossble. :joystick:

Thanks for your prompt reply Kyle. I’m not sure what you mean. Do you want me to take a video of my joystick or the cockpit control switches within the game? Many thanks

Hello. I’ve just started using DCS again. I used to play on the old lock-on game. I’ve bought a speedlink tornado joystick and all seemed to be working well. Everything is fine with the mustang, frogfoot and F-15C, but I’ve just bought the A-10C and the plane drifts left and severely up. I assumed that there was something wrong with the calibration so tried again with F-15C. This works perfectly. Please help. Colubridae

Hi Mr. Bucic. I have a quick question (sorry if it's been answered already), how can I remove the info bar at the bottom of external view screens? please. :-) -
It worked fine. Thanks for the tip. :-)

Thanks for prompt answer... I will try.

Hello. I’ve just started using DCS again. I used to play onthe old lock-on game. I’ve downloaded Caucasus 2.5 and have bought F-15C. I’ve bought a speedlink tornado joystick and all seems to be working well. Except i’m playing the helo attack mission of the F-15C and whilst I can shoot down the helos with my cannon whilst selecting the sidewinder I cannot release it even with good tone. I’ve set the trigger button on my joystick to ‘weapon release’ but all it does is fire the cannon. I’m certain I’m missing the obvious but can anyone help? Please.

Many thanks to all who replied. I will charge ahead.
