    ralt

Pretty sure i'm doing something wrong but... I can't get RALT to work when starting A/C from cold and dark. works ok otherwise. ATT SRC in auto, ALT in radar or baro. no setting works. Is there another setting I'm missing? please. :(
  3. Oh dear very embarrassing Trying to launch with flaps on auto - not on half. (let ddi telling me to check flaps as well). :embarrass:
  4. I'm probably doing something wrong... but after case I recovery (appears ok) I then taxi to any catapult and find the stabiliators set to a high value - as shown on the FCS page (causing virtually uncontrollable pitch up immed after takeoff) I've pressed the trim reset button. no effect. Then used the trim button (via keyboard) it does bring the value down but very slowly but even then after take off the F-18 picehs up uncontrollably. please help (take off from ramp or at start of mission is no problem) :(
  5. Sorry I should have said "left engine" Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  6. I don't know. However without that button pressed I couldn't get the right engine to start spooling. I also had to hold it down (after moving the throttle to idle) until rpm was 60%. Hope that helps. Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  7. I have a strange failure since update of 20143, on a mission that was working fine. E-2D launch 'jams' up halfway down the cat. trak attached. cat failure.trk
  8. afaics. the only use I've found is to hold it down (after starting the right engine with ground air), crank the left engine and hold down until the engine catches. i.e. wait till rpm 20% then right/alt/home whilst holding the push button. don't know what it means tho :dunno:
  9. thanks for quick replies to everyone. Very interested. I will definatley look into moose and lua. I'm 'adept' (have used) with arduinos, so thinking of setting up controls and switches. Off to a funeral now so won't be around for a while. :( Thanks again :)
  10. F-18 awesome, but I'm still playing with the A-10. I'm building a mission to attack a column moving slowly up a valley road. No probs. But... I'd like to have a Ka-50 orbiting closely above the column providing air cover as the column moves up the road. Is there an easy way to do this without having an enormous number of waypoints for the Ka-50? please..:)
  11. Have downloaded latest version. problem now fixed. DCS eagle most awesome sim going!!!!! Thanks chaps. :)
  12. Same thing happened at Kobuleti. runway lights off approx. 3-4 miles from threshold. :helpsmilie: please
  13. I've just tried some night landings at Batumi. all works fine until ATC sends the message '... check landing gear...' at which point the runway lights go out. I have attached a track, please excuse the crap level of flying. help :helpsmilie: runway lights failure.trk
  14. Thanks man. Will try immediately. [emoji108] Sent from my SM-A310F using Tapatalk
  15. when not 'slewed' the TDC is ‘locked’ tothe TVV. Is there any way to point the TVV at target and then ‘lock’ the TDC at that point? So far I can only get close then ground stabilise the TDC by slewing it slightly ‘out’ of the TVV. Then I can make that position SPI. Please. :)
  16. They are to do with the mission. They seem to be TAD maps of the various waypoints. Is this an unremovable feature? or such, please. :helpsmilie:
  17. Hi I've just deleted the files as you advised. But I've still got some kneeboard items that I don't want. (they also did not appear in the folder you pointed to) Can you help me please. A-10C. :helpsmilie:
  18. thanks. :megalol:
  19. I'm not sure if this is the right place, but how do I use my shop bonus when purchasing a new product? please. :) :greedy:
  20. Thanks yurgon. :)
  21. I’m sure someone’s done this before but I managed to set up a quick fire attack using mavericks on targets near to one another:- 1 use the long range of the TGP to set a target as SPI. 2 Set the SPI as a mark point 3 Find the next target with the TGP. Set as SPI 4 Set SPI as next markpoint 5 Repeat 3 and 4 as necessary. 6 When all targets are ‘markpointed’ set steering to mark on CDU. 7 Set SPI to steerpoint. 8 Select maverick 9 Slew all sensors to current SPI 10 When maverick locks, launch maverick. 11 Select next steerpoint. Repeat 7, 8, 9 10 Return to step 11 until all targets attacked. This is assuming no other markpoints have been made before attack. I tried it and it worked but I may not have written down the exact button sequence :)
  22. awesome. Just found the kneeboard. :):book:
  23. Awesome. I've just landed Tbilisi spot on. Thanks a million. ;) ps just ordered hornet. Can't wait. I'm 68 this year - not much time left to learn.:smilewink:
  24. Thanks man. Just tried kobuleti and Batumi - spot on with your course settings on the HSI. My assumptions about the runway number were bollocks. p.s. Where can i get the runway please directions?
  25. I will try that thanks for help. I've always set the HSI course to the runway number (plus zero), I thought that's what was required.
