think that may be the problem. run in on target from south worked from other directions not ok. had to request 'laser on' (as expected) response was 'lasing' I then radioed 'spot' got response 'continue' I the radioed 'in from the south' (radio option is only 'in') then got 'cleared hot' and attack was successful. thanks. I have another question though what does 'shift' mean in the radio options please

had thus problem a while back and thought it went away... but it's back I set up an attack on a column with emavs guided by a predator afac lasing works all the way up to launching the locking and launching the EMAV. The afac (which has been cooperating flawlessly) then shouts 'Abort abort abort' and stops lasing. is there a reason for this? please help

LAA Level Above Awesome. :thumbup: FYI you must press AIC on UFC to get input from cooperating sources. I found out by trial and error. :smartass: errr my bad - it didn't work at first, but once I had pressed it (aic) from then on restarting the mission automatically gained input.

tried and worked. ahhhh the penny has dropped. if i'm approaching an airport with zero wind I must land on the runway assigned by ATC. this I was not doing. I assumed that both ILS signals were available on my request for landing. I set up landing practice at airports for both directions where ILS was available for both directions.I just assumed I could just dial in the frequency and hey presto. Thanks for your quick help. :)

I've recently bought the Persian gulf map and been practising ILS landings with A-10C. I've had difficulties with two airports so far Sharjah rwy 303 111.95 Mhz works ok Sharjah rwy 123 108.55 Mhz does not work - appears as no ILS signal same with Al Minhad Al Minhad rwy 270 110.75 Mhz works ok al minhaf rwy 090 110.70 MHz does not work - appears as no ILS signal. am I doing something wrong? please.

using waypoint designate and IRmav Please help, not sure where i’m going wrong. I have a F-18 ir-mav ground attack test mission. I activate F-18 ir-mav then, using the HSI I designate the waypoint near to the target as the target. Diamond shows up on the HUD at the target location. when it cools down the maverick triangle ‘zeros-in’ automatically on the designated location and is automatically uncaged. When I set the TDC onto the maverick DDI (preparing to slew over the actual target) the maverick is immediately caged and returns to boresight. Is there a way to avoid this happening? Or to quickly recover the target location? Hope this makes sense. :)

I've set up a mission with an attack on a column of 5 trucks headed by a strela and tailed by a zsu-23. My JTAC will select one of the air-defence to attack. when completed and come in for a second mav attack, it will not automatically select the other air-defence unit, instead takes the next truck in line. Can I get it to select the second air-defence unit? Hope that makes sense. please.

Hello. I've been trying a simple mission to practice using the LMAV with a JTAC. But for some reason my JTAC won't lase. don't know what i'm doing wrong. at the nine line it says 'no mark'; on wags tutorial it said 'lase with code 1688' please help mission attached. :) jtac emav practice.miz

please advise me. I’ve built a mission to attack a moving column. Column is ‘on-road’. I’ve got ahead of the column and downed a bridge in its path. Hoping to hold up the convoy. But it just goes ‘off road’ and crosses the bridge anyway. Can I stop this happening? Would it happen in real life? Please advise :)
