  1. Shouldn`t be use Curtiss Electric C542S? When you read notes in "List of Propellers and Governors ... " about the interchangeable blades for the P-47 there is sentence: "Such procedure (means blade change) also requires a change in blade angles". IMHO, difference between written blade angles on the picture i posted and on the list of propeller is probably because different place where it was measured. Standard was Station 42, but in the list is written Station 54 ... So, 80 degrees (PRP value on INFO BAR) what is possible for the P47 in DCS seems not to be correct. I have no idea where is this value measured in DCS, but if i look on propeller with maximal angle i rather see 80° than 53,5° (or 48,5° ).
  2. Acctualy no. Fuel from the primer line goes to manifold after the carburetor. That is reason why the fuel from the primer line increase richness of mixture.
  3. When you do not lock primer, fuel will run into fuel system and will cause too rich mixture. It resulting in heavy smoke and sometimes fire, IRL. In DCS it does what you wrote..
  4. Do we have interchangeable blades in DCS W? Isn`t this the reason why propeller`s hubs have adjustable blade`s pitch angle range limiters? Different blades, engines ...
  5. It seems that propeller pich above 48,3° is not correct and less than 18,3° . Does not matter if AUTO or MANUAL.
  6. The oil temperature gauge rises up to ambient temperature immediately after battery is switched On, bud soon will fall down to 0°C. Then when i switched batt Off and again switched it On, oil temperature needle remained on 0°C value. Oil temperature rised from 0 only after engine run up. It is on all maps (default weather or edited weather) and all 3 Mustangs. I repaired DCS W and have no mods. Coolant temp. gauge and Carb. temp. gauge are correct. track is included oil temp
  7. Three spawn points are at new airfield on Pagan island in mission editor. They seem to be inactive or whole airfield. It is not possible to use them. If i put plane or helicopter and set it to Takeoff from ramp / Takeoff from parking hot, the plane is moved to nearest active airport spawn point at Saipan Int. Takeoff from RWY is not possible too. Takeoffs from ground/ground hot are the only options for spawn plane at Pagan airfield.
  8. Yes it is. You may use 52inHg/2700RPM for 15 minutes, according to manual. But only if you keep your engine in limits, temperature and pressure. This must be obeyed in all situations, even when engine is idling. You can`t go above limits. btw. 52inHg is attainable at very low altitude without turbo, but only if you fly fast, really fast - 500kph, RAM effect will help you.
  9. This was relevant to only when 91 octane fuel was used. This fuel was used for training units in the USA during WWII. When 100 otane fuel was used, all combat units (this fuel is modeld in the DCS W for Allied planes), interconect could use from ground up to critical altitude. For take-off in this case, pilot should use "take-off stop", it was throttle stop which prevent thottle lever from going above 52inHg MP.
  10. Me neither on default map. Did you try it on map with standard atmosphere? Yes, i have. It was, start from RWY, climb to altitude - measure, climb to next - measure ... ... ...up to 12000m. Full fuel tank (unlimited fuel), empty aux. tank. This table is quite old, but seems to be still valid.
  11. I did, i just expected that the difference between maximal power and special emergency power is clear, i will try to be more specific in future to avoid such confusion. Actually it does not matter, IMO the DCS K-4 is still slightly optimistic (above critical altitude) even with special emergency power setting. I guess, all here knows that. But, we unfortunately do not have something better. And moreover, ED never released what is base for their power/performance for the 109. These calculations were usually rather accurate. And still, you do that.

  13. Power for 2800RPM vs. 2600RPM, no one see the difference?
  14. 2800RPM for SonderNotleistung vs. 2600RPM for Steig-Kampflstg. ... So, difference between results for test with propeller 9-12199 and with 9-12159 (DCS) is 15kph in case SonderNotleistung . For Steig-Kampflstg will be nearly the same. Calculation for plane with 9-12199 propeller and 2600RPM shows 690 kph, then for 9-12159 (DCS) is 690 minus 15. At least ...
  15. The Bf 109K-4 performance are "optimistic" primarily above critical altitude. Which at 29 000ft are. At 29k ft the 109 has speed advatnage over the P-47 roughly 30kph, and over the P-51 roughly 15kph. All planes with maximal power, without WEP, ADI or MW, this altitude is quite above critical altitude for these increased powers. The one reason why we have these results may be coolant systems. The 109 during flight, horizontal high speed flight, has coolant`s flaps nearly closed, but the US planes don`t. They must have the coolants flaps fully opened and still the coolant itself is nearly on the maximal value ... During horizontal high speed flight. The 109 reaches 690 kph at 9000m (29500ft) in DCS, it should be slightly fewer ...

  17. It is great idea. I can folow AI Mosquito this way. Now i must test it with human player if T1154 works correctly for as, for players.
  18. When the T1154 Master switch is in R/T position, the T1154 transmits voice.
  19. You can`t, it is determined by RWY direction where is localizer from ILS installed.

  21. D/F worked with frequency ranges: 75 - 200 kHz 200 - 500 kHz 600 - 1500 kHz 3 - 7,5 MHz And if you are searching for signal from beacon by only loop antena, you look for the lowest signal, not the highes.
  22. The BMW 801D-2 required C3 fuel. Even for 1.42ATA.
  23. It is possible to remove one, or both, digit number. Unfortunately it brings also negative result. You can remove 1st, 2nd or both digits. But you will not obtain these single digits on opposite places. They will be shifted. And of course, every update will rewrite yours edited skin`s descriptions... here are visible shifted digits numbers, no way to correct them (or i do not know how to do it) And, you will lose permanently two digits number options!
  24. Why do you use lines ""Fw190_bort_R1 (R2,L1/2)_number"" instead simply "Fw190_BN_31 ( and 32) ..". I think it causes trouble with your bort numbers. description.lua
  25. They were use as a main anti bomber plane until war end.
